Help me:How to build wedge robot at japan?
It is AW (Yes,it is a wedge because fliper is defined as gun Thanks for Plazmic Inferno, I thoght that i can use non-punematic fliper i  Spinners are blades so not allowed and i think it is still useful at normal life)
(Punematic things are disallowed at japan,CBA to Translate)

An antweight flipper shouldn't count as a gun as it is powered by a motor but for a wedge bot you can either use modified servos or gearmotors for drive, gearmotors are more expensive because you need a speed controller but are alot faster, the materials most people use are polycarbonate or hdpe with thicknesses ranging from 1-4mm, you can get plastics cheap from www.directplasticsonline.co.uk
Servos and wheels you can get from www.giantcod.co.uk , you can also get a set of radio gear from giant cod for £25.
www.componentshop.com sells batteries that are good for antweights and look on www.fightingrobots.co.uk/forum for other peoples antweight build diaries to get some ideas

i might gonna use hdpe (if i am able to go to robot conbat event and not rc car fight that i make) or cardbords if im on rc car fight that i make
I am able to obtain servos from akihabara i think.

if you don't want to buy anything over the internet then if you still want to use servos you should try local model shops or if you don't want to go down that route you can just make a shell for an RC car which is how i started

Hold on there, you do know there is more than one builder that is active here. And no offence to plazmic, others definitely have better advice other than "Mod servos, and use hdpe. If not use an RC Car"

I'm sure when they see this thread active, they would voice their opinions on the matter.

because i am obviously the best person on this sort of thing :ermm:
you say you don't want to buy things off the internet, that instanly makes building a robot extremely difficult, its like scratch building a car and not alowing yourself to go to any mechanics or breakers yards.
you will have to buy somethings off the internet if you want a good, solid little bot.
if you have a local rc shop then thats great, see if you can pick up a 2.4ghz transmitter and reciver there. i would highly advise staying away form mhz frequancys these days. you can also pick up some servos, wich need to be opened up and modifyed to drive your robot and a maybe a 6v nimh battery pack, you could also find some foam wheels aswell.
doing this would get you a simple little bot that could bumble round a table and maybe push an rc car, for a little more money a much higher standard of robot can be made:

i would recomend a look round a website such as the robotmarket place in which to buy motors, and speed controlers (radio gear too)
if you are building a 150g ant, these motors are good little units, for 1lb ants, bigger motors needed
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6V-300RPM-Torque-Gear-Box-Motor-New-/220767144125?pt=UK_BOI_Industrial_Automation_Control_ET&hash=item3366bf48bd

you can buy HDPE plastic and polycarbonate sheet off ebay easily but try looking though your directorys for small plastic/metal firms who might be able to help.

hope this can help
shutta your gaping noise void woman!!
