Armor's Plastic 10. In real life, the bot's gonna have Poly Carbonate Armor.
Man, my wedge is going to get killed like Roadkill.
First, what weight class is this? Is it still LW?
For a good wedge, you want three things: Durability, power, and traction.
Don't use polycarb as your main structure material. It is a tremendous material if used correctly, but in this case you want to use something like this: http://www.onlinemetals.com/merchant.cfm?pid=1200&step=4&showunits=inches&id=1271&top_cat=60
This is aluminum square tubing. It is a standard on many successful bots, like sewer snake and Original Sin. For a wedge plate, the best is titanium, but for your case something like this: http://www.onlinemetals.com/merchant.cfm?pid=9668&step=4&showunits=inches&id=814&top_cat=0
This is chromoly steel. It's super strong if used right.

I don't know what kind of motors you want to use, and I'm pretty sure that Ampflow motors are out of your price range. Consider this motor:http://www.robotmarketplace.com/products/DCWD-D02.html
This is the Dustin motor, over volted to 36 volts it makes over two HP, and has a gear box ready to go, and is set to a good RPM. A pair of these motors will allow you to shove pretty much anyone. Use the Battlekit wheels and use a 1:1 chain. Coat the colson wheels with WD-40 to improve traction.

The other bits should be easy to figure out. This Vantec along with this radio will allow you reliably control your bot. As much as the other members will recommend it, I strongly recommend you stay clear from the cheap Lipos. If you have to use cheap lipo, go with Turnigy Nano-tech. Try to use Power Edge or E-Flite. Also, please stay clear of the Hobby King chargers, go with AstroFlight 109, and get the Blinky balancer and the power supply.

WAAAAAAAAAAY to much text.

It's like wrestling, we all know what's really going on but we play along anyway.

Yeah, i'm properly going to build a team and a robots.
Here's the current Pixel Mockup of F.M.

I'm probably going to get some Aluminum for the armor, not sure about the drive motors and the wheels. Any suggestions for the Batteries?

For starters, knowing the weightclass would be nice.
