Because none of them wnat to fight spinners. Vertigo explained it to me once and it was long and conviluted so I forgot why. But he sounded pretty sure there would never be any more HW spinners in England.

I agree as well, and to my surprise, I have talked to a lot of European/English folks that think its ridiculous to not allow the simplest of spinning weapons -circular saw?- to fight. I really doubt RW will see a Last Rites or Hypnodisc anytime soon. Just allow spinners.

THose folks obviously aren't the builders or organizers, otherwise they'd know that the UK arena isn't safe for spinners.

But yeah, I'd like more variety. It's 90% Flipper, 8% Axe/Torque Reaction, 1% rammer, and 1% whatever Cherub is.

There will be one for each event. The Portsmouth one will be coming soon.

The commentator isn't the best but unfortunately he's the only person who has the time to do it so there isn't much choice.

As for the flippers are boring, bring back spinners comment that arises in almost every thread about the UK, there are three main points.

1. Shows are still selling out. Until it becomes a problem, as harsh as it sounds, nobody is going to care if a small group of people don't enjoy the fights. It's only the people who pay to come to the events rather than watching it for free on youtube who's opinion is heard, as they are the people who support us.

2. The cost of making a spinner proof arena is monumental.

3. There are too many events to have spinners. Next year there will be 12 full Robot Wars shows alone, plus Robots Live and all the demo shows like we've just done in Tyneside. If you were a roboteer would you have the time and money to completely rebuild your robots after every event?
