A random fact Sir Killerlot had only 10 weeks to be built and prepared for series 2 this is why the claw in series 2-3 weren't as big as they were in the other series's the people didn't have time to make the bigger claw the wanted for series 4-7.

Typhoon 2 was the most deserving champion, but I really wish that Tough As Nails won the competition.

On that note, Tornado was the least deserving

They didn't cheat. It complied with the rules, it was just a smart way to get around them... the gits.

Anyway, Isn't there already another thread for this?

Gonna change the subject since tornado annoys me(opinionated)

I remember hearing on a video (by votesaxon07 I believe) that mentioned the only reason typhoon won S7, was because the judges outlawed rammers or anything with static weapons and they didn't like storm 2 because it rarely used it's lifter and the final judge was biassed, anyone else heard this story?

Robot wars. Favourite thing since I was 2. Favourite robot... Dantomkia. Why don't they do smaller replicas of house robots (real obviously and/or even use R/C ones for Featherweight's), put panels up like they used to back in 05- whenever they took them down, let heavyweights have spinning weapons, keep the pods like they are now, remove the wire because robots still get thrown through, have a main UK tournament that gets televised and keep the other events untelevised? WHY????

Yes, it's true. It's on storms' website. On his video it also said in Tornado v Storm 2 Tornado was pitted but they raised the pit. Shocking as Storm II was a great robot that was brutal and equally entertaining.

The featherweights are massively more powerful than the RC House Robots, and larger.

let heavyweights have spinning weapons
That's a matter of health, safety and very high insurance bills.

have a main UK tournament that gets televised and keep the other events untelevised?
Good luck finding a station willing to take RW on.

It's unreasonable. And please, a mod, somewhere, move this topic XD it's driving my OCD insane.

How about the GOOD moments of the show because we don't need another rant on how the competition stands now, the storm2 contreversy and the most boring of all whenever tornado actually cheated or not.

I think my favourite bits were just mainly whenever Hypno-Disc or Panic Attack were performing well, although I did enjoy PA24K's last match, being ripped open by Matilda etc. The lower weightclasses were always fun too.

I try to enjoy Robot Wars but I keep finding myself getting pissed off at how manufactured and/or rigged it always appears to be. The obstacle courses from the original couple series were enjoyable but the combat has always felt lacking. I guess it's also because the house robots are pretty much a full weight class above the competitors so the damage done there's less of an instance of impressive engineering and more of a demonstration of what ~40kg of extra weight can do for a weapon system.

Also, there are so many robots that just don't move when the battles start. :(
The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated.

1. This is why I suggested the arena panels like in 2005 and roboteer pods. Insurance... Touché
2. BBC, Even Dave or Challenge who currently aire series 2 now?

ohh series 7
has my favorite robots in it but has those dumb static weapon rules
i really wanted to see atomic win
also X-terminator
typhoon 2 was the first eliminated in the annihilator
kan opener won so that had nothing to do with the results of the main competiton
the middleweight division had some great foreshadowing of the outcome

oh and TERRORHURTZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
why did you not go farther in series 7
i mean he won the competition the year afterwards and couldnt even compete
