if a robot fighting show were on tv how would it survive
« on: May 26, 2014, 03:46:23 PM »
if robot wars / battlebots or a new competiton were on tv how would it survive by taking ideas from other entertainment
i think that if 1 came on tv they should travel around the country and have more tournaments this way people felt the champion was under more pressure also it would keep people from investing 100000thousands of dollars on robots for the sake of it getting torn apart
it would keep the sport competetive and not just have 1 bot that rules them all. for example biohazard's design was expensive and that allowed it to do very well.
also by traveling the country they could get people who competed full time while having people who just show up to the event
any other ideas?

Well if a new robotic combat show came out, how and where would they market it? What channel would accept it? Would the ratings be good? But for your other ideas, I don't understand how traveling would keep people from spending tons of money on there robots. Could you please elaborate?

there would be monthly competitions to keep people cautious about using a lot of money
and discovery or syfy maybe one of the obscure espn channels
the ratings would probably be good at least
i mean at battlebots peak it was # 1 on ratings
so it should be at least good
they could have people like the mythbusters, engineers, old roboteers. they could have a lot of hosts i dont think they would have to look too hard
and yeah it would be like roaming robots but with more competitons on tv
would that not be great
