What qualifies as external? there are a few with Protection on the outer edges, and the one I'm thinking of buying has a rollcage.

I think they'll want a full rollcage, and won't let you enter with that one in your link.  If I'm not mistaken, the purpose of the rule is to keep their ceiling from getting damage - a damaged ceiling is a lot worse than a damaged floor.
