you will become a "that guy" so if you do it, you need to do something epic

you should do something stupid like add a pinata to it or a fishing line.

have it shoot nerf darts at the drivers from inside the arena.

have it drop bouncy balls.

Do all of these at the same time?

Flying robots are allowed, but exposed propellers might not be.  You should probably double check the rules.

Put something really menacing at the bottom like a saw blade then as you fight you can lower the bot on top of the opponent and let's the carnage commence.

Last time I checked, having external propellers/blades was illegal.

What qualifies as external? there are a few with Protection on the outer edges, (http://www.hawkin.com/2-4g-4ch-quadcopter-x3?CAWELAID=720016520000001836&CAGPSPN=pla&gclid=CjwKEAjwns6hBRDTpb_jkbTv1UYSJACBhberomMPCIP7UxDy80PilpOlxJ4egPf54Gn6WNW4h0vNiBoCO5Xw_wcB) and the one I'm thinking of buying has a rollcage.

I think they'll want a full rollcage, and won't let you enter with that one in your link.  If I'm not mistaken, the purpose of the rule is to keep their ceiling from getting damage - a damaged ceiling is a lot worse than a damaged floor.

That's great, because I'm buying this. (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/131285895249?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&ops=true&viphx=1&hlpht=true&lpid=108&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0-L&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=108)

Somebody (Not Somebody) convince me why I shouldn't.

Happy to see that this joke is still relevant 6 years on.

Also, do it, but only if you film it. And hang some tiny spiky ball off the bottom for a "weapon".
