Apparently this is the website, translated. Can't work out how recent the show is. Basnik96? You seem to know everything about it. :P

2008-2009 is its age
All the more hilarious it is that most of the British and American robots from the 2000's would maul these bots

Eh, They were pretty good for a country that was new to robot combat at the time. They would beat the Safety Hazards Robots India 1st made

There's one or two decent designs, particularly here with the Little Drummer Boy clone.

It's a shame we don't see that many (if any) eastern robots competing in western events.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the information on the website seems to say 75kg weight limit on competitor robots.... What weight class would that be? Middlishbutalittlebitheavybutnotbymuchweight class?

Every other country who has any knowledge of robot combat in that fashion seems to take into account the same standards as the rest of the world. The Dutch, the Germans, the Australian, the Italians and the Caribbean all take the national weight classes into account, it does seem odd that the Koreans are trying to be so different.

If your wondering how I know about the Caribbean's, I've got family in Trinidad. Mind they did get Robot Wars Extreme Warriors on TV!

My apologies if my post sounds somewhat negative, it's more inconclusive if anything. Just wondering how genuinely though out this is or if the Korean's have done another cheap copy of something European, like their clothes industry.

I can't figure out how the knockout tournament works.  The hexagon robot finished last in Stock Car but didn't get eliminated. Also, REX2 is painted red later in the episode for some reason.

I watched it muted, expecting the childish irritating sounds.  :gawe:
Sounds like it was a good decision!

Its this.

Fastest bot auto goes to fight finals

2nd fastest takes on slowest
3rd takes on 4th.

Winner of those go to fight eachother

winer of that takes on fastest bot
Lone Star Domination.

I like how there seems to be no restrictions on weight! Odd. Strange that a Korean team never took part in the us or UK.

Easterners tend to look past weight being an issue. Thinking that the speed and agility a lighter bot brings to the table is enough to trump something larger and more powerful, easterners see agility and speed as the key to victory, idk why but it's the same for Japanese and even Chinese. Not necessarily on robot combat alone. But in other sports as well. (Chinese boxing/Kung fu, I remembered Japan's PRIDE had at some point just allowed any weight to fight each other and there's a video of a 154lb guy taking on a 300 pound sumo wrestler).

Also, how many of these bots do you guys think actually weigh 65+?

I like the one guy who built like 3 identical horizontal spinners and none of them do well, but you can tell he's having a good time.

Also there's a 2010 season and a 2011 season in addition to this first one

Most robots seem to be around 30 kg according to the final match profiles instead of the 75kg max. Perhaps they meant 75 pounds? Still an odd weight limit.
