I didn't think it was possible to flip nightmare over like that. Or bully Warhead. Watching those minibots getting splattered was awesome.

The battles were fantastic though. In the battles after the initial ones I'm hoping they shorten the team bio's (because we've seen them now, not necessary to see them twice) and fit more battles in.

Gotta agree. Hopefully they'll do a few interviews with people repairing their robots.

Bill Nye wouldn't be a bad idea, Bill Dwyer is someone I can live without.

And yeah, the new logo is generic and boring compared to the old one.

In the last season Dwyer was corny but he did genuinely like the robots and I felt h was a pretty great announcer. These two new guys I know nothing about and are interchangeable in my mind.

Dan was chill as hell. He seemed very smart while still being polite and down to earth. Zappa was cool too.

I've talked to him before and he's a cool guy. He sent me a picture of one of the Robotica Gauntlet bricks that he signed.

People keep talking down about Wrecks but I've got to give the builder (Dan) props for making something out of the ordinary. A friend of mine in the comments on YouTube summed it up nicely:

"hey man after 10 years of fighting the same old designs we get tired of them. Wrecks does something that to us, the builders is very cool. to create a true walking robot with a weapon that only has two motors on the whole thing, and to use the gyroscopic precession created from tilting the disc to give it forward momentum is rad."

I did in fact say that but I say a lot of things I don't mean when I get mad. I did not actually mean that, it was a very stupid thing to say and I probably should not have been on the internet that night. I loved Warhead and wanted to see it advance, that was the reason I went into ragepost mode, I do take back what I said about the builder and team, but I still have a very strong dislike for Bite Force as designs like that kill ratings if you have two of them against each other there is a possibility of a boring fight, the general public does not want tactical battles unfortunately. In retrospect it's probably best Warhead lost so it did not get destroyed later.

I think Icewave will win this season though it is a scary bot and for the most part they seem to have fixed their reliability problems, and yeah Wrecks has a cool design which is why I don't get why people were ripping on it in the Plan X fights comment section.

To me Warhead seemed weaker than last time on BB. I don't see whats wromg withBite Force. It's a good design. So is the design of wreck but it doesn't change the fact that it sucks in combat

Robots have come along way since Warhead was last on Battlebots, and I heard they basically didn't update it at all.

I believe they did update it, but yeah, robots have come a long way.
In a world where most competitors either follow the Razer design rule (design the robot around the weapon - see Last Rites/Tombstone, Brutality) or the exact counter to that (fancy wedges - see Bite Force et al), a bot that spends a load of it's weight on aesthetics and not the weapon or the survivability is pretty much doomed in my opinion. Warhead is, in a sense, this season's Snake or Mechadon, as is Plan X

. Its flywheel wasn't all that destructive, actually.  They took out the pitiful armor of JC slammer and ripped a wheel off of Nightmare, but couldn't damage Overkill or matador.

Considering that if they keep at their current pace, they would have to rush through the Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals in 3 weeks. I'd venture a guess and say that you're more than likely right- we may just see six to all eight remaining opening round matches this week.
