This is the thread for discussing BattleBots' return. PLEASE do not post any spoilers as far as matchups/results are concerned. Everyone involved was asked to keep quiet about results, we should honor that. Also no one wants to be spoiled.

the "no weight classes" thing confuses me but as long as we get fighting robots back on TV I'm happy.

its a new weightclass (something near hw), so no old robots
they gave everyone 5 months notice
i doubt this will be good

So there's some good and some bad in here. I'll start on what I think might be the lower points here, the fact that there won't be any weight classes or whatever or making there be only 1 weight class. The multiple weight classes in Battlebots's original run really gave it some good variety, but whatever beggars can't be choosers. I also hope we don't get focus on the people too much. I sort of care about their stories but I rather watch some fights ya know. The article is also pretty brief so I don't know if this is actually in the works or not. The good part is that I'm happy to see Roski and Munson are working on it. They didn't sell out to Comedy Central years ago so hopefully they still respect the name. And just the fact that people are considering a robot combat show is always nice.

Then again it might just be like every other announcement and come to nothing.

...Probably could stream it. Unfortunately the only American channel I got is CBS
