not another thread on your favorite robots this is about the best matches in robot wars, I was watching some of my robot wars seasons and just was thinking some were really ahead of others, nominate yours

Can't think of a top 10, but my favourite two were Hypnodisc's first bout, against Robogeddon, and also Razer vs Onslaught in that Annihilator, when Razer dismantled Matilda. :D

btw has anyone watched the Tornado vs Dominator 2 match ? the ending is really good, just think of what may have happened in series 6 had tornado gone down that pit

I remember Gravity flipping Matilda after it had won or something... That was a good fight.

I don't believe Matilda was flipped since getting the flywheel Gravity vs Lightning, Gravity took out Shunt and Dead Metal after the match

How much would you say that flywheel weighed? The spin would keep Matilda from tipping over if the wheel was going fast enough

as far as I know I heard 27 kg (60 lb) with weight distributed to the outside of the disc, Defiantly destructive way better then a 30kg hammer *wink wink* :-D

exactly :-D *sigh* why does Matilda have to be such an incompetent worker lol, there are rumors that the tornado frame lead to the breaking up of team Razer but its exactly that ...rumors not really facts

I personally just don't like pushers (that is really what tornado was) in competition like this, I mean destruction is the aim of the game pushing is just to boring (with one exception ... storm 2 was an awesome rammer, even got steel avenger out of the arena)

The anti-pit-frame? That one really ticks me off. I suppose it shouldn't, though, because my CC entry does the exact same thing.:|

Also, Terrorhurtz vs Panic Attack: Seems like an unfair ending.

Har, I hated Razor. I thought it was smart of Tornado's team to put the frame around it.

My favorite match from RW was Hypnodisc VS Bigger Brother.

Well, as long as Tornado said they had the frame and got it officially weighed in and such, they could use it. Don't remember WHEN they made it but it was a risk, and it paid off.

Both are great robots, but Tornado has the very customizable design and the team smarts to back it up.

the second version of the frame with the flywheel was ok but the first it just seemed so stupid beating a robot by pushing it around

gravity & behemoth vs Psycho, Growler & Cassius was one of the better ones with technically all house robots got defeated, also the first round melee of the series 7 veterans/all stars tournament with Firestorm, Panic Attack, Cat 3 and Bigger Brother was good.... Shunt was over in the first 5 seconds lol
