Chatterbox / Re: arguing about dubstep
« on: January 18, 2013, 11:35:45 AM »
lol that's just the typical close minded meddul head argument against Electronica in general. "hurr yur just pushin buttons plae a real instrument fag xddd"

That said dubstep still sucks, but saying sh** like that is pretty ignorant.
I stopped using that argument against electronic music when I started listening to Massive Attack.
but yeah dubstep is annoying, pretty irritating and just generally bad compositionally.

BTW Dom, I was initially repelled by death metal but I got used to the whole vocal style and aggression and whatnot, so it's decent when you get used to it. Got some swell riffs as well. Perhaps the same could be applied to dubstep, but I have no idea and I doubt it considering it revolves around the genre stereotypes.

OH NO I CANT GET MY CALL OF DOOTY  :'(

I am more worried about the fact it would literally destroy the indie game market. I don't even like most Indie games, but people have a right to make them. Same with mods.
^

Hopefully Britain won't do a similar thing, BBFC is superior to ESRB IMHO, but they don't rate every single game.
Yeah, this could be a major issue. Really the whole "violent games are bad" thing is a dated and well-disproved idea so I don't get this.

Looks alright. I actually prefer the rear to the front, since the latter looks a bit too steep on its front edge. Interior doesn't look amazing but its tolerable enough.

9 A*'s (Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Religious Studies, Biology, English Literature, Latin, French, Geography)
2 A's (Art, English Language)

GCSE's are stupidly easy.
You are scary.
HE IS ASIAN MAN, HE IS SUPPOSED TO GET HIGH GRADES!
Hahah, I suppose. Saddly I don't know many hugely intelligent Asian dudes, only one who got A*s in everything other than economics where he got an A and where everyone else got a B or below.

So far I've got:
2 A*s (History, Physics), in my favorite subject and one which is just related to a lot of my hobbies respectively.
5 As(Geography, Biology, English Literature, English Language, Maths), all pretty much expected
1 B(Chemistry), a bit dissapointing but whatever all my chemistry teachers are annoying
1 C(French), because I'm English and I suck at every language I try to learn.

More to come.

That's not nice! ..... you should have said the overweight guy was wrong handed or some such.
Doesn't matter, still obese, still becoming closer to the American's dream body.

at least I don't wear a skirt.
To be fair kilts are still pretty cool. And I rarely saw anyone wearing one when I went to Scotland.

Wait until you get to Owl!

Also does anyone have any clue what the upgrades do? I can't read japanese, unfortunatly

I like to think that this would be mine:

lol kiss
I still think it's kind of weird that he went from being a dubstep guy to a Kiss trooper. Not something I'll complain about since Kiss does have some good songs (WAR MACHINE man).

I played the harmonica when I was little, I now beatbox (horribly), and does a microphone qualify as an instrument?
No, nor do guitar amps.
If effects pedals counted I'd have like 10 instruments I play lol.

I'm alright at biology, I got an A on my GCSE exam but it's a pretty dull subject for the most part. I much prefer Physics and in some aspects chemistry.

my school is like top 100 in the country or something like that

plus we got dodgeball and we can choose what we get to do in pe so nyeh
Mine is like top 5 of the state schools in the country apparently.

and we get to do dodgeball too so nyeh and mountain biking and other stuff
We don't have health class, instead half of it's been condensed into a biology unit and the other half no longer exists (but I had it in middle school so it's OK)
What's the point of a health class? It's not something you need to go over too heavily, most people learn about it from the media anyway.

Illinois geek turd's parents got dodgeball to be banned from public schools. Y'all are lucky.

Same here in Connecticut. Good thing I go to a private school and we spent most of last year's one-semester gym class playing it XD

Can't wait for next term, hopefully we'll be able to do that again...
Lol ur a privie.....
It's pretty sad that your state schools are so bad. I go to a pretty awesome one here in the UK.

I had a weird dream that wasn't nearly as awesome as Scraps but still pretty cracked up

Basically it starts with me entering a theme park that was meant to be Alton Towers but it was really more like Canada's wonderland I guess, and I head towards what might as well have been Behemoth and enter the empty queue line. So I get into the station and it's like some sort of Singaporian hotel with this weird hot woman who claimed to have ran it. She's kind of aggressive though so I kept my distance, and then I went to bed (one of those weird dreams where you fall asleep in it) and I then get woken up by some 30 year old bald guy who sends me into a room and bam that woman has been decapitated and her head's been replaced with a horses head, and by her bed there's a mark on the wall which is basically a red circle with a black dot in the middle.

So I go outside and then for some reason it's Cambridge (but it's more like the shipping district in Ipswich) and I have a walk around some of the areas. Suddenly some fat kid starts a punch up with me; I kick him in tha bauls and he runs off. I go in a few shops and buy some stuff and then go into the main square (which of course Cambridge doesn't have) and a bunch of people are congregated there, and they're crowded round some guys including that fat kid. Each of the people is missing 3 toes for some reason and they don't remember being attacked, and there's another set of red and black marks on the nearby walls. I leave the area through a backpassage that for some reason leads to an abandoned metro station which had been converted into a cafe. I walk through and end up going home. I eat a steak for dinner and go to sleep again.

In the morning of day3 of the dream my wrist is all messed up and has like a burn on it. I look around for what might have caused it but I find nothing. I then head to Cambridge again, and walk through a fairly empty district which has a furniture store which is closed and stuff, and find a couple of yellow and black marks a bit like the red ones earlier. So I head back to the city centre and there are some school dudes I know and they start another punch up with me, I win. I go to the cinema (IMax I think) and watch The Ring, then I go outside and the dudes who started a punch up also are missing 3 toes. I go home again.

Day 4 I find myself heading back to the abandoned metro station and I find some kids slumped against the ground with 3 toes missing. I end up concluding that since nobody knows why its happening that it must be some supernatural stuff, and again a red and black mark is on the wall. I head up and out, into the main square and for some reason there's a sheep farm (only in a dream set in Cambridge), and all of the sheep have yellow and black marks on their eyes and are missing some of their hooves. I end up feeling unsafe as hell and dicuss the events, concluding that some sort of crazy weird creature must be doing all this stuff. I go home.

Day 5 is like the weirdest bit, I head to the main square and some guy says it's not safe in the countryside and in settlesments inland, so I head to like the cornish coast and it's cold as hell. I end up setting up a tent along with like 3 other dudes. Suddenly there's this flash sound and all the clouds dissapear from the sky. I drop a rock for some reason and it bounces back up to my hand and suddenly a huge tidle wave shows up, I head into my tent with the other dudes. For some reason I have a TV and the News says that all major civilisations of the world have been destroyed by the wave but for some reason the coast didn't actually get hit. It goes on to say that a gigantic alien creature caused the crisis. I turn down and there's a red and black mark on my chest and I have 3 toes missing. The dream then ends.

It's pretty weeeeeeiiiiirrrrdd.
