That'll likely be because it's not an aspect ratio RA2 was meant to have.

(also nice dp)

Dunno what's going on with your cfg then, mine works as per usual in dsl2.2.

You sure you're opening ra2.cfg and not .cfz?

CADing (cardboard aided design) the Snappy ant (we all knew it was going to happen)

Largely just a dimensional test. Hoping to get the whole lid acting as the lifter.
Next task - maybe transfer it to sketchup or inventor and then get the 2mm HDPE out and try it in something a little more robust than a cider box...

its still a cool bot

For sure. It's a nice build, but not suitable for the tournament, in my opinion.

That's not accepted in Standard. You build with what you have and you don't 'pretend' you have other bits. It's not a 'you COULD do this', it's either it's possible to do with those parts or it's not.

It should be largely similar, if a little more lenient, with IRL. Any extra leniency should be at the discretion of the tournament host, who has said it's not cool.

I think a gap could be cut through some of the panelling and skirts to ensure it could get through.

...Even the vlad lifter thing on top which is directly cut in half?

Each half could theoretically be welded to each side of the front skirts.

Then theoretically in DSL Standard it should be fine for me to cut through a skirt hinge right? Because each side could be welded to the robot?

The axe cuts straight through components, it's way too skirty and most of all it's obviously trying to get in as a pop-up. This would be declined if it was my tournament.

Very nice, reminds me of my original concept for snappy. Guessing it's a lot of fun to drive? :)
