I'll be back with Snappy. Can't promise anything on the replica front though 😛

Bugglebots is an upcoming beetleweight web series, airing in December on YouTube

You can find more out on the Bugglebots website
www.bugglebots.com

Those of us that were there for filming can attest to how much of a fantastic time it was and honestly, it'll be worth watching. Awesome fights and great production too!

Also I finally got to meet Nate so das good.

Several GTM entrants so tune in to see how we all do ;)

It's the same disc from the original BB series, been used all this time. They knew there was a small crack in it after the Minotaur fight and were aware of the metal fatigue so pretty much knew it was a matter of time!

K isn't a useful contribution dude come on...

Unfortunately the RW mod has very little traction in terms of showcased bots here. Most people, if they use the mod, just utilise the provided replicas. Why not start a showcase in the Custom section of the forum to try and start that change? :)

Problem is with saws is they don't really do /that/. It's very dependent on the opponent's armour. The saw I fought was just scratching the titanium wedge but cutting through the thick plastic like it wasn't there.

We could add different component classes or a variable called resistance. Some parts have a high resistance, some have a low resistance. Sort of like fracture. Parts with high resistance will be untouchable to weapons with low resistance damage. We still have HP though. In component classes you could add stuff like plastic aluminum titanium and steel. And respective damage types.
pretty sure we can't just go around adding variables and such at will since its coded into the exe

and even if we could it would be a tonnn of work for relatively little payoff

This to a tee. Sad but true.

I've got to replace the wheels and side panels on Snappy because of a saw. Saws are super viable in a bunch of weight classes, especially where plastic construction is more common.

Video of the weekend. Won't spoil any results but I'm super proud of how Snappy performed 🙂

Very worried this is going to be a quiet one. Has taken the most organising by far but we'll see 🙂

Over the summer I'll actually be upgrading it with a 270degree servo so we should have a decent shot at self righting!
