Holy crap, it's been a while:

Here's some bots I built just today:

Mongolo:
(Image removed from quote.)
I bot inspired by Towering Inferno.

Vertigod:
(Image removed from quote.)
An experimental VS that I TRIED to make realistic.
(Image removed from quote.)
Due to wieght restraints, the disc is only supported on one side.
(Image removed from quote.)
Due to EXTREME gyroscopic tendencies, I added some tacky side bar stabilizers.

Both are pretty good, though the second one seems messy to me.
I had to make sure the second one was as realistic as possible. Once I get back to my mom's, I'll provide a download link.

By the way, any suggestions?

Are you using standard NPCs or the fast variants?

Looks good so far, although I'm not too fond of the Mercenary's wheel guards.

Don't get me wrong, you're off to a great start. Not too much else to improve here from what I can see.

SSF MK looks like an emo Dantomkia on steroids.

Another bot that's been in need of a rebuild; Iron Awe 2.1.  This one can self right with its axe.

You forgot to add drive to your Turbo replica but other than that everything looks good.
Thanks for letting me know.

I miss when IRL was about building cool s***, rather than efficiency.
It's kinda a mix of both, but yeah, I see what you're saying.
(As a try-hard IRL builder myself.)

You should just make your own topic tommy  so you can update the OP and stuff.
Good idea. Next update I'll post in a new topic.

Installed, and all seems to be working well.

So far the only issue I really have with the pack is that the components for the robots aren't hidden in the botlab, so the botlab gets a bit cluttered. If you could put them as cheatbot2 components that would be awesome.
Some of the skins could be a bit more HD as well, but that might just be my preference. Either way, I'll have a go at polishing some of them up, and if I do any well enough I'll send those your way as well.

I actually have started on making AI for some of them, I'll send you the ones I do when I've finished them all.

Overall, I'm having fun with it so far. I combined it with Wham's Robot Wars pack, which makes for some good battles :)
Glad to hear that it works! :approve:

Wait, do we use DSL 2.1 for this or DSL 3? Or do we combine the two like last time?
You combine them.
Eep, I have not been paying attention. What do I paste over what? I'm assuming I start with DSL2, paste DSL3 over that, and then the battlebots stuff over that?
That's how you do it! Tell me if there's any problems with the pack. ;)
EDIT:
I would appreciate it if someone could AI them for me.

Sorry if this has already been answered/made obvious, but will my bots from DSL2.1 be compatible with this already, or will I have to make any changes to them to allow them to work?
Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing this released.
Unfortunately, you'll need DSL3 for this:
(You'll need to remove the components CFZ first)

Quick Update:

Tested all the bots.
Some of the components glitched out but it's an easy fix.
Please note that not all the bots showcased here will be in it. There's still a lot of them, nonetheless.

AWESOME NEWS:

I've officially begun beta testing!

So far, I've managed to get these bots to work:
Abbatoir
Complete Control
Dark Steel
Diesector
Doom of Babylon
Dr Inferno Jr

This is a VERY small sample of all the bots that are currently being tested.

Bottom line is, this mod is nearing it's first proper release. :gawe:

Alright, I'm back and I need ideas. I've gotten kinda rusty.
Welcome back! Would the recommendation of Y-Pout be possible?
Possibly...

Of all the HW's I've tried to LWify, this has to be the most difficult.

(Image removed from quote.)

Not entirely happy but weight constraints, youknow?
I need to get back to making torque reaction bots.

Have you ever tried eating a clock? It's really time consuming.
