Awesome! Could use a little more detail though.

Stock Showcases / Re: Clickbeetle's bots

Saw there was exactly one stock tournament open for signups among a flood of DSL IRL.  (That's Lightning S.'s Revolution 3 in case you couldn't tell.)  Had to build something for it.

Here I have a perfect opportunity to arbitrarily switch to Roman numerals and call this "Drumblebee X"... but I'm taking the high road and sticking with 10.  I did decide to change the traditional paint scheme though.  The diagonal warning stripes were getting old.  Bonus points if you know what bumble bee species the skin is based on.

Drumblebee 9 is OK, but it's kind of lacking in speed, and I always wanted to get 4WD on it.  But how to make weight?  I've tried 4WD Drumblebees in the past and they always turn out too fragile.

The answer turns out to be LESS RAZORZ.  Drumblebee does not really need, and has never needed, 36 razors.  The weapon motors always break before all the razors do.  24 is enough.  With some caster optimization too, I fit in those extra 2 wheels AND an extra battery, which keeps it running at full power for the whole match and also helps with self-righting.  The chassis is slightly more vulnerable with less caster coverage, but the extra speed makes it harder to hit, so it sort of balances out.

The drum is wider for better motor protection.  At first I had the traditional 2 extenders in a row with more razors per extender, but that was too fragile.  Even though this has less total razors than Drumblebee 9, it's overall more resilient.

Wedges are actually pretty good for once, so long as the weapon isn't spinning.  Can out-wedge NWB and Hot Wheels head-on.  (But not Backyard Gut-Ripper, the wedgiest bot I ever built.)
A standard stock robot with aesthetic value? WHAT IS THIS MADNESS?!

Here's a thing. No actual clue what it's meant to be really. Perm 132 for the weapon, dual TWMR2s for drive. Twin slow mags for the srimechs

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
I love the chassis work on it.

hot
Thanks guys!

Here's another one. Speed Demon is probably one of my most successful bots but I still have ideas how to improve it. This is the result of those ideas: Speed Demon V.

Compared to the previous version it's upgraded in just about every aspect. Drive has increased from dual TWMR2s to dual NPC fasts, the weapon motor can no longer fall off incredibly easily, angled armour pieces have been added around the weapon axle to deflect HS hits, and a quicker, more reliable srimech powered by a Vsmall VDMA has been added.

Weapon motor is a perm 132, drive is 2 NPC fasts, srimech is powered by a Vsmall VDMA. Weight is 799.7KG

Beautiful. I have no clue how you're able to pump out so much skill in such short time.

Hard truth. I do like the Panic Attack sequel bot though.

Hi! I did Mecha Rampage! I think I could be more accurate with custom skinned parts but i sit on that version since two days so i call this a day. :p
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]    [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
It has a 4npc normal drive (Overkill, i know (See what i did there for a joke? xD))
and a 6mag motor inside the spinner. It has custom parts in it because that design is just too heavy so some plates are coloured lexan panels. xD
Its a heavyweight btw and i did a middleweight version of that too!

Ok, thats all for today!
Bye and have nice day! :3
Don't forget to like lol

Nice! I didn't know you were a replica builder! I must've forgotten.

I have an idea: Plastic extenders and armor. Or maybe fibreglass. Think about it, making decorative bots takes up a LOT of weight. Imagine trying to re-create Mega Tento's shell with aluminum, the lightest building material we have. It's too hard! Same goes with making Matilda's shell from scratch. I imagine these plastic extenders would be really light-weight yet fragile, kinda like real life.

Guys, I just made a CHEEEEZBUGGA!

May not be as good as Arcane's (lighting makes it look terrible) but this one is actually under 800 KG, which means I can use it for the GTM Battlebots replica tournament. The weapon sucks too, just like the real thing! (Well, ok, the real thing can't get it's weapon to work right in the first place.)

That's great, considering I might end up not being able to use Petunia or Gamma 9 due to the fact the use Razer Crusher Motors, which weren't greenlit for the tournament.

Can I use the Razer Crusher Moter? I need it for my crusher bots I hope to enter.

Me: Edit RGS2
Inner me: NO BUILD A ROBOT
Me: oh okay then

Meet the Stinger Missile. A Bombshell-inspired 'bot with 4 different modular configurations to run for just about every scenario, with an axe, a cutting blade, a spinning bar and a clamp. Mostly happy with this one. ^_^
Awesome work! I didn't enter Robogames so I don't mind the bot.

ok. who is andy?
He is, I think, a permabanned user since 2015, for being toxic and hacking someone's account

Also, his account's name is HurricaneAndrew

Toxicity and multi-accounting
Ah yes. I remembered when he reappeared under the username of Shootingpost, acted in a toxic manor against certain users creations, and then created the infamous wiggle post before being banned again. Such was times.
Wiggle post? I never heard of that.

Tommy gets the points for the skin and non-exposed motors.
Cringy gets the point for the weapon.

Tommy wins on a split decision.
Thanks. But mine actually DOES have exposed motors and stuff. They stick out of the chassis in Botlab, but are invisible in testing.

The weapon I'm not too happy with, but it was the best I could do. The skin is based off of the Season 2 version of Razorback.

By the way, my Razorback replica is on the BotExchange.

Aaaaand with that, here's the finished product.

It took me SEVERAL hours to do the skin. The top and bottom plates were diagonal, which made things tricky. (You could see in my previous pic.)

Practically my first attempt at making a replica, doesn't look great but hey you gotta atleast start somewhere
Nice! Looks good to me.

Here's a WIP shot of my paintjob for a stock replica of Razorback.

(Yes, I use MSPaint, don't judge me. It works just fine.)

Petunia is sweet man, IIRC Doot has an End Game replica
Thanks, and yeah, I do recall someone making an End Game replica that was pretty good, except the disc wasn't too accurate. Then again, it's be hard to replicate that disc without using custom parts, AND make it effective in combat.
