Discussion / Re: Any bot names?
« on: April 01, 2013, 03:59:24 AM »
For example, I had one team named predators, with bots like wolverine, Black Leopard, etc.

(Image removed from quote.)

ARE YOU TREMBLING IN FEAR YET?
Haha, I forgot that thing has a wiki page. Man that was when I first joined the forums as an eager newbie. That bot was the pinnicle of my building prowess at the time. Note that my second BBeans entry was Shebeast... ;)
That was certainly a turnaround :laughing
But yeah, I'm lazy so I usually pick song titles if I'm naming things. Try something like Reciprocal or Electric Rattlesnake. Me and Enigma tend to use Cryptopsy song titles a lot, so those might be worth trying.

No, shut up, goldenfox. You have no idea of what you are talking about.
In what sense?
Drawing parallels between the Joker and Noodle is about as bad as comparing people with Hitler because you disagree with them.
Or calling me a communist :P
Seriously though, stop making comparisons of that sort.
Hey, I didn't mean it in a truly serious sense. I see what you mean certainly, but by that, I meant that the circumstances behind it (Decent enough guy beforehand, something happens, radically changed character) reminded me of the story. If I did offend anyone with such a comparison, I apologise.

But about the bit regarding Hitler- not even I'd stoop to envoking Godwin's Law here, especially when it's totally unnecessary.
Yeah, I never seriously meant I thought you were a fascist :P Don't worry, but I'd still recommend not mentioning stuff like that. It's never been that drastic with Noodle, he was never that friendly.

What happened to him anyway? When he first showed up he was a nice guy who was improving in Stock well, then he left, came back and became one of the biggest trolls this forum has ever seen.

Not been around long enough to know the full story, but one would assume he got bored, left, rediscovered the forums and no longer cared. Doesn't seem to be much more to it than that.

Seems to be something like that.
Yeah. Unlike HA or MrAwsum he isn't particularly funny either, which indicates that he just thinks this place is beneath him.

There is no more need to report more spam by noodle, nor to send more messages to trovaner because of spam. So don't do it.

I have partly solved the problem, I just wait for trov to permaban.

Thank you.
Surely an IP ban is necessary? Last time we banned him he just made a bunch of extra accounts to keep spamming.

NotNoodle

Enough said.
Uh yeah, exactly, that got annoying pretty fast.

Still waiting... Just start the damn poll already.
What poll?

The voting on the songs... The whole point of this entire thing.
You don't vote the songs by poll.

Got another entry, few to go.

Then how are we going to vote? If you're going to have us send our vote to you, we might as well just go ahead and say that your entry wins and be done with it.
It mostly involved the people voting saying what score they'd give the songs in the thread, and letting them count up the points for each song. It was annoying but unbiased.

1. Yojimbo
2. Seven Samurai
3. Sin City
4. Princess Mononoke
5. LOTR : The Two Towers
6. The Dictator
7. Monty Python's Holy Grail
8. Beowulf
9. Braveheart
10. Shrek 2

I'm not a film-watcher, at least not a lot.
I need to see the first 3. Not a fan of borat so 6 isn't of interest and I've seen the rest.
