I dunno, I really don't care about her death anymore. I think at this stage the whole thing has spun out of proportion, like you guys. Much while I dislike her, she doesn't deserve quite this much hate, or this much media attention.
Thank you, that's much more reasonable. Even though I can't say I really knew a great deal about her, her demise certainly shouldn't have been met with revelry by ignorant young tossers who don't know a thing about 1980s politics.

I mean, an old woman's died of Dementia, and the first thing they do is rejoice, openly proclaim she's burning in Hell and throw big parties over it. It's absolutely disgusting.
TBH, I think both reactions need to pretty much end. There isn't much point in getting too defensive of her, either; really the media and public attention might as well just end, because it really doesn't mean much at all.

Whatever, she was pretty badass, being the most powerful women in the world and all. I'd say she deserves some respect. She was good friends with President Regan too, so as an American, I see that as a positive. Also, why is this not under "Politics"?
She was pretty powerful for sure, and I respect her for that, but not her actual views and actions.
It wasn't initially a political discussion, but it's head that way now.

BREAK OUT THE CHAMPAGNE, MORTALS!
That's sick.
I wasn't exactly being serious, but dear god, she was one of the least caring people on the planet, so it may well be appropriate.
I can't stand Obama at all but I'm not gonna go around gloating if he kicks the bucket.
The fact that you said you weren't even serious just shows how frivolous you think this is. Show some respect.
I'm sorry, but I'm not going to show respect to one of the most despicable people on the planet, dead or alive.
You're a dumbass. Margret Thatcher was probably the best Prime Minister you've ever had besides Churchill. She wasn't a pinko commie like all your leaders these days.
She really didn't achieve much at all. Churchill wasn't great either because as soon as the war was over he spent far too much time dealing with the West Indies. I cannot see how she was a good leader at all.

Besides, we don't even have any actual left wing parties in the UK anymore (besides Green but no-one votes for them), so we really don't have any leaders who come close to being "commies".
She didn't take sh** from anyone, esspecially not Argentina, and that's what's important. Also, she was good friends with Ronaldus Maximus. And all your parties are left-wing compared to America, so they're commies.
It's true that she was admirably tough, but it doesn't make her tough for a good cause.
Also, the democrats are about as left wing as our main parties.

I know my opinion means squat, but I thought she was a rather good Prime Minister. Either way, everyone's allowed to have their own opinion. It's a shame she's passed, but I suppose she's been ill for a while. Good leader or not, it's best we show her the respect that she deserves now she's no longer with us.
I've got nothing against the woman she was post-retirement, but prior I feel her political influences were mostly negative.

There is definitely an element of that, but the fact does stand that she did lots of damage to the UK economy and caused major unemployment, although she did manage to start repairing it. However, her excessive privatization definitely did not really work at all, and her ridiculous spending on the justice system was an obvious waste.

Also, believe me, all my senior relatives who were around at the time (that's everyone but my brother and cousin) are celebrating, and I'm aware of what she did.

Great logic
+1
Perhaps it makes me despicable, but then again, there are many people we've celebrated the death of. Even if I exaggerated my general reaction with that first comment, it doesn't stop the fact that we are glad that (admittedly much worse) people are dead.

wot
Margret Thatcher just died, apparently.
Just noticed it from the finnish news-website... never knew her, so I don't really care.
She's extremely unpopular here in retrospect over her time as Prime-minister.
