As long as you consulted me first, I'd have allowed you to increase entrant size. Take this post as an invitation to do so (only for this tournament) if you change your mind/a lot more people want to enter.

*Special Thanks for Thrackerzod for giving me the idea for this.
GENERAL RULES: - Stock, DSL 2.2, and Ironforge MW - 8 Teams will compete - 3 Bots per team, one per game (See Team rules) - I'm willing to AI if you are not able to, but don't complain what I AI'd your bot - Custom .pys are allowed, but I will not allow AI with melty brain tactics - You cannot enter unless your bots are received and accepted. - I myself will not enter unless there is an open spot when signups close.
TEAM RULES: - Three robots per team - 1 bot in Stock, DSL 2.2 and Ironforge each - 1 person can 3 bots for a team, 2 people can send 1 bot and 2 bots respectively for their team, or 3 people can send one bot each for their team. - If that one person is taken for just one bot, then he/she cannot build another bot in a different mod for another team. - Please specify if you are going to be in a team with someone.
BUILDING RULES: - Middleweight bots only - You cannot use BFE, AAM, Hax, .txt file editing, etc. - Smart Zones will not count toward weight, but you cannot use them to act as a ballast (I will be using Mad's Smart zones for this). - Crawlers are banned. - SnS will not be AI'd with melty brain tactics. - I will allow one wheel drive bots as long as it's a rammer. Any other 1WD style bot is banned. - I will allow bots that are the best of your ability, so Jokebots, replicas, IRL style bots, etc. are allowed, but I wouldn't recommend it if you don't want to being laughed at. - You can only send an update to a bot once and only once. No exceptions.
Multibot Rules: There will be some special portion for multibots if you wish to enter them. Here's how it works folks:
- The maximum number of multibots allowed is 2.
- Both bots must stay within the weight limit.
- Bots can weigh differently as long it does not go over the weight limit.
- Both bots must defeated by KO, TKO, WBP, or a Forfeit to move on.
SPECIFIC RULES: All of the above rules meet here, but these are the restrictions for the metagames. Stock: - General Stock 1.4 rules apply - Weightclass: 249.1 - 399.0 kg - The only cheatbot2 part allowed is the flamethrower. - AI parts are allowed, including the 140 cm extender. - The only custom components that are allowed are from 090901's and/or Sage's Skin Pack.
DSL: - Standard building rules apply - No cheatbot2 parts at all. - Weightclass 249.1 - 399.0 kg
Ironforge - Standard building rules apply - No cheatbot2 parts at all. - Weightclass 90.1 - 200 kg - You can use up to four ballasts without it affecting your weight.
BATTLE RULES: - 1 vs 1 match format - 2 minute length matches - Best 2 out of 3 - Double Elimination Bracket - Ring Arena (Reskinned) - If a robot havoks once, costing the match that bot who caused it gets a free restart, If it happens again, that bot who caused it will be disqualified - Judging will determined by the damage points at the end of the match
Restart Rules: More than one of the below criteria can happen and not penalize you. If once, that bot gets a Free Restart. If Twice, that bot will forfiet the match if any of the folling criteria occurs:
-Havok Restart: The bot does a Havok Explosion which costs the match for it's opponent. -Second Chance Restart: If the loss was from being pinned, (i.e. getting stuck for a reason) But I will only restart if:
- A)It has controlled movement.
- B)It has enough battery life for it to actually matter.
- C)The control board warning is not is on yellow or below.
If none of the above is met, then the first match will be the final result of the match.
My (Possible) Entries:
This will also be the splash format: tl;dr A tournament with a team with one Stock bot, DSL bot, and Ironforge bot. Builders may vary.
This will most likely be my last tournament for this game. So I'll have this go out with the three major mods that have different meta-games out there.
Thoughts, questions, or concerns?
This is now a signups topic and the rules quoted may not change. You've got 9 months, enjoy :)

Yeah, I swear the DSL Arena is longer (more rectangular.)

It's a redundant rule. For a robot to be a popup, it must have a wedge. If I were to get nit-picky, I'd say that the rules on chassis wedges would allow for the use of chassis wedge flippers because they don't gut rip. However, you've got that loophole rule, so no one can act on it, unless you made this point specifically for the exclusion of chassis wedge flippers, but I highly doubt that. I think it would have more simpler to just say "this includes chassis wedges."

I will allow this to be approved, however, please focus on wrapping up The Forge and signing it off before you start an opinion poll.

I don't think you should be discouraging participation. Just encourage taking time when making the robot, making the splash look nice and honing bot making skills in showcases, as well.

I think you should look at side hammers, too because you have definitely built a side hammer. I am genuinely surprised as to how you don't know how to build a clamp. Just look at something IRL for a better picture, like Complete Control.

I suppose so. I actually think I have an aversion to Machines in Yugioh. I'm not a fan of the artwork of most of them, especially Dinomist. Anyway, Allure seems to work fine as I usually draw into what I need or I get rid of D/D Fodder (Galilei). So, I have one more spot in my side deck because rip Wavering Eyes. I'm thinking about Poisonous Wind for the rogue Majespecter match-up because, as a guy that used to run them (may get back to it), I know they can be a b*tch to handle. What do people think?

Yeah, looks alright. Not the biggest fan of r4nk gadgets (or r4nk spam at all, much.) Is Double Summon necessary? I'd imagine you won't need it when you have that Fish along with Dino pendulums. I've tried adding Starlight Road into a Evilswarm deck of mine but it always ending up clogging a bit, how well does it work for you? Dinomists don't show up often for me, match-up wise, but, for the ones that I have faced, I've beat them. Do you do well with this deck? With Dinomists and Metalphosis, I'm not sure I'm liking the pendulum archetypes Konami are putting out. I actually like PePe, believe it or not. Artwork looks nice and plays (played ) well. The only other I think I like are DDD's but they're more of a pick 'n' mix archetype with everything going on and I never set scales with my DDD's, it's just fusion and xyz.

Tbf, I'll just be happy if Upstart goes back to 3. Until then, I gotta throw in 2 slow cards in my DDD deck. Actually, even though I have no idea why a DDD deck would run Allure (because we don't like things out of reach, we like targets in grave), I may test out Allure and swap my Upstarts with 2 Allures. I'll see how it does. If I end up without fusion/Ragnarok fodder, I'll have to find something else suitable.

You have to join the group to see it :P
Anyway, apart from the Adjusted List changes we already knew about, I think this ban list is terrible. I just don't want to keep running into Kozmo and BA, two decks I really hate. I really couldn't care less about Monarchs because they're just a glorified draw engine, now.

I was annoyed when that commentator kept saying 'Survivor' in the Night Fury-Fissure match. Did Serveyor have drive issues that you couldn't sort out? It never really seemed to get going properly. Btw, I love Amnesia almost as much as Satanix

You are right but people usually run 1-2 Norden, anyway and then just run 3 IF because you only usually see people getting Norden out once a duel. I've heard it said a few times on YouTube and Reddit that, with Norden, just leave him alone or ban him, there's no real point in doing anything in-between. If any of them should be banned, it's Norden, if any of them deserves to be limited, I think IF makes more sense than Norden. i dont really mind the new banlist, i run level ones so thousand eyes restrict coming back is something im completely fine with as it allows me to branch out (first level one deck i made was for dystopia the despondent, i realise now that was dumb) and in terms of the draw power im not bothered too much provided they STAY FAR AWAY from heart of the underdog since i run a couple normal monster decks such as gigos, normal pendulums and level 6 synchro spam.
Eco, you obviously don't mind the ban list because you don't play competitively ('running level ones' will land you in the 'Other' statistic at a YCS.) Heart of the Underdog will never get hit because it isn't broken/even that good.

Oh yeah, of course but the meta decks have something to replace Upstart with, such Kozmo and BA with their new Allure. People on Reddit think that they're hitting Chicken Game and Upstart because of Monarch F/OTK or just Monarchs in general but they don't need Upstart. Perhaps Magical Explosion Monarchs do but why don't they just ban Life Equalizer and Magical Explosion? They're the real problem.
Oh well, I'm still gonna be running a 39 card deck with D/D/D's. I've lost 2 cards from my main deck and one from my side (Wavering Eyes.) People are throwing around DD's name in the Reddit thread but I really don't think the ban list helps us at all. Allure banishes my lovely fusion fodder and I can't pick them up from the grave, either. Can't wait until we're past Kozmo and Monarchs in upcoming formats because I despise them. In fact, I could put up with PePe more than them (I hate Kozmo because they're actually too strong, I mostly beat Monarchs but everyone plays them, so I get annoyed when I see them.) With pendulum decks, spell destruction is key but it's so easy to side that stuff in, so why are they getting hit?
Also, it shouldn't have been Norden that got hit, it should've been Instant Fusion.

So... I wanna kill myself because of the new banlist. Upstart at one? Why? They may as well just make a public statement saying they wanna screw over older decks that don't have much draw power compared to all the new decks. I'm glad Chicken Game is gone but limiting Upstart just wasn't needed.

The only difference is that he learnt how to use the Magic Wand tool. TRB, you need to get rid of your black backgrounds and not use 4 different fonts.
He also didn't build a bot that was just a horrible mess. So there's that.
I suppose. It just looks a bit bland, this time.

Ugh. 0 votes again. Back to the drawing board.
I thought yours was a lot better than your entry last month, if that means anything.

The only way that the RA2 Wiki seems to seemingly define a difference between a popup and a hammer is a popup uses a short extender and strikes using a weapon that's concealed within the chassis. A hammer uses an extender of 60cm or longer and strikes down. I think KoK's robot is more of a hammer than a popup, by definition.
In popup, it also mentions that they use short hammers to 'gut-rip their (the opposing robot's) underside'. The way in which KoK's robot went about destroying TRB's was by hitting the top of the robot (most of the time.)
