On my HP laptop the pause key works perfectly.
As for your problem, you could use an external keyboard on the USB.
I use sometime.
I might try that; can't believe I forgot about a fairly obvious solution

As far as i know, the new pause button binding (as found in newer keyboards) doesn't work with RA2, cause instead of a system pause its a media/music pause.
Could be wrong tho, but pause don't work on my laptop either.
Likewise, my HP's pause key doesn't work, and given all the issues I have with wedges I've found RA2 a nightmare to operate :/

DP: Did a recording of part of an old song with it, quad tracked the guitars, sounds better than the original so that's good.
No post EQ on the guitars, might be on the old bass but not on the current guitar tracks.

i've always viewed irl building is about trying to replicate the feel and functionality of real robots.
i'll use my bot "contender" as an example.

what i'm trying to say is as long as there is a real life counterpart in looks and performance, a robot is realistic.
irl is not about putting spikes all over a robot (nary) or building a bad dsl bot and calling it irl.
While I agree on your last statement, it's evidently far easier to replicate the potency of some bot styles in IRL building (GODDAMN DRUMS) compared to others, so I think there should still be some level of moderation regarding the efficiency of IRL bots, because otherwise stuff like Rammers (generally pretty powerful IRL in the right matchup) will be pretty much entirely redundant. So I don't think it's necessarily to have bots to realistic levels of efficiency, but I don't think it should be greater levels, instead perhaps just lower levels, because that way there's a flatter efficiency line so any given RA2 IRL contest can feature a greater variety of bot types without it getting overly swerved towards VS, Drums, Sheck Spinners and HS, because, let's face it, those are the bot types that are most effective in IRL building simply because they have better damage potential. Given that IRL is mostly just for aesthetic purposes, I don't think it's even necessarily a good idea to have tournaments for it, seeing as it's unrepresentative of the intended features of the builds.

We didn't exactly carve the thing strait from the tree, but we did initially just start with two planks of alder and it's the way it is now, so I'd argue that it's close enough. Let's hear sound from it.
There's a crappy demo attached to the first post, I'll run it through a proper sim or borrow a mate's SM57 and mic up my amp so I can get a proper sound from it (might want to tune it this time too XD).

Yeah. Admittedly, my dad did most of the work, but the design is all my work, and it turned out pretty great.

Looks nice, but I'm not keen on the neck. Might be the light maple against the darkness of everything else.
I get what you mean, but it plays amazingly, one of the best necks I've played. 9/10 Would play if I knew how.

I would so use that as a slide guitar.
Maybe if I get an appropriate slide I'd use it for that. Works well with blues and stuff on low gain so it would be cool to try.

In production since 2011, and it's finally playing.  The juggernaut in the flesh. Gloss finish (Nitrocellulose), Alder body.  Pickups are Seymour Duncan SH6s, bridge is a Gotoh Zinc Tune-o-matic.  Neck comes off a Jackson Dinky MG of some sort. Maple with Rosewood fingerboard.  24 frets.  Bolt on neck, tried doing an angled section in front of the join to improve upper fret access, works reasonably well.  Grover tuners, as you can see. Overall it's pretty killer. Here's an out of tune demo through a bad amp sim XD. Tonally it's pretty damn trebly, but that makes it good for thrashy stuff like Exodus, and the attack is tight as  .

I'm not sure how many musicians/producers there are on this forum, would anyone here be interested in creating a sort of unofficial collaborative GTM music project? Like one large Bandcamp album full of tracks from anyone who wants to join in?
I have some tracks that i can probably add, since I have instrumental versions of each.

Looks cool. Not sure if the motor setup is optimal for any SnS-ing but it looks good.
