After the habitual procrastination, I have built something and am going to send it asap.
Although I notice my rival hasn't send anything. It will be very dishonorabru if he bails out >:O

Blade Assault. Has 5mm aluminium, if I remember correctly. Not done for NAR AI, although since it's a smaller Blade Wave it may just end in Team Z. The bot itself is for Rival Rumble (prepare thine buttocks, kossokei) I put some slight wheel protectors. Not the most efficient but that's as much weight as I want to spend on wheel protection :O Also it must be the only poker with decent airtotal. It lasts through most of the 3 minutes, which is exceptional by my standards.

As for myself, I like having a chainsaw in the game, even though it's probably not going to end up very practical compared to sawblades. Cool, at least.

a few points:
-pinning is the main tactic for rammers/wammers, hammers and quite a bit of gutrippers. does the fair play rule bans them outright ? that seems unreasonable.
-equally, hit and run should be a valid tactic for fast bots. isn't back-and-forth what rammers do ? (May not be exactly hit and run, though)
Besides, hit and run has no point unless you are very fast and agile and your enemy isn't. also there are no ranged weapons, apparently, so it makes it even less worth. Not to mention that hit and run tactics will just let the opponent being rammed if you follow him closely.
-entrant liability seems quite harsh. besides i think if someone is always late, people will become aware of it and stop wanting him in tournaments, so it will be an unspoken rule.

>asks why r01 thinks unity is a bad choice for RA3 >asks why mnb doesnt like steam as a platform for distributing RA3 >warned for offtopic flaming

You weren't warned for flaming, but for offtopic. When a mod happens into a thread and says "enough offtopic" or something of that sort : can we not have arguments, accusations and off topic in here please.
you're supposed to stop any flaming or offtopic that happens in the thread. your post just after was offtopic. hence the warning. _______ R01, what core issue do you have with Unity? I just dont get why you think its not suitable for this game.
MNB, what issue do you have with Steam's DRM? I get that its against your principles to buy something and not have legal ownership of it, but functionally its identical to having the game on disc once you've logged into steam.
But if Steam ever goes down, you will never be able to play that game, which you payed for, again. With something like GOG, you can keep a copy in a disk and always have it.
wouldn't worry about it. Steam games get cracked all the time. Not sure RA3 will be much of a priority for the scene groups but you can always start Steam in offline mode and play. Unless you mean goes down as a company, which I don't see happening for a long time unless you know something I don't.
hey, MORE offtopic...

Is it just me who notices that you can build past 800KG's without an antiballast with this mod?
It's been posted in the OP. He used his no mass limits mod as well.
Oh, didn't know the OP had been updated.
Anyway, V2.0's taking things too far, especially in terms of DSL and Ironforge. Like, with Stock, I get it - gives some more life to the base game, and all - but for DSL, Ironforge and all that? ...Sheesh.
Wrong. This is what we've been waiting for. Now we can do artbots, walkers, IRL designs, and complex/crazy designs properly. All that we need is removal of the max sphere, if possible, and RA2 v2.0 with mods will be a worthy competitor to RA3. Maybe even superior to RA3.

If you think you've contributed in a serious, meaningful way to the development of RA2...
lol

User pages are meant for users that contribute in a meaningful way to RA2. (AI-ing, modding, tournaments, AI packs, etc.) Or the really old people/people who have marked GTM for a while.
