ED was probably worse but I still play it sometimes... has anyone got a save file for ED that's near or totally completed? When my computer got wiped a while back I lost mine, and I dunno if I can be bothered to suffer the horrible lag of the Japanese Rooftops much longer.

@Craaig: That is not restricted to the top builders - as long as you can build decently, you can be in.

Ah, I see, sorreh ^_^

But yeah kreiven you need to learn about DSL and i recommend starting a showcase (again :P)

According to my iTunes, it's one of my own songs... which is quite alarming... but no, it's New Born by Muse... I think. So many to choose from XD

Argueing over the fact that someone doesn't want swearing in their own, unrelated forum probably is though.
So why don't we all calm down and be happy, like internet communities should be - you know, where groups of similar minded people discuss things that... well... they think similarly about XD

I'd set up a showcase so we can all see your level of building - NAR AI teams are generally only made by the top DSL builders.

Welcome to GTM by the way! Enjoy your stay!

Apologies.
The other bot looks nice btw.

i see :P. Ooh, another spontaneous idea (ruins the funnel thing, and probably the whole point of the bot - sorry :P) is get 2 servo pistons/linear actuators or whatever in place of the bursts, and trap them with the pistons (move whatever you're using across the gap). This wouldn't do any damage though... and probably fails hard :P

What you could always do (would make it harder to operate, but yeah) to make it much more trappy, is have the hammers starting closed, so you fire them when you wanna get something in. Then the opponent gets stuck as the bursts have closed on it.

I dunno if that's the approach you wanted to take on that bot, but that's what I would try.

I did say without the hazards! :P I know people get quite tetchy about the pit

Well personally I'd like an arena with low walls - makes it easier for ALL bot types. Something like the RW arena, but maybe without the hazards that everyone seems to hate.

No, up to. People could always be entered in more than one if thats what the team elect.

I just had an idea. Shoot it down if you wish

So we have these teams. There can be UP TO 6 representatives from each team - and hence 6 mini-tourneys
Stock LW
Stock MW
Stock HW
DSL LW
DSL MW
DSL HW

And then obviously the team with the most points in all the tourneys wins.
You could even have a DSL/Stock SHW tourney, and/or Stock/DSL AW/BW too
