This took me nearly 4 whole hours of work. Probably longer.

Here's a mostly finished Timmy:

And here's a replica I am VERY proud of, due to the detail, effort, and overall accuracy: ShowFlake:

Ok, I found the problem: The thing I downloaded is only capable of decompiling files. There's no compiling option on mine.

HALP! I have a Timmy replica and an upcoming Scrap Daddy LW55 coming up but I need HALP!

WARNING: The last 2 House Robot videos will be posted tomorrow, and will be followed by the opening of signups either tomorrow evening or Sunday morning. Be prepared, 36 spots only!
I hate to be obnoxious, but do you know whether or not my prototype ring-spinner design will be acceptable?

686
CRAAAAAAAIG! Did you get my PM regarding a possible ring spinner design I had in mind for the tournament?

Are ring-spinners allowed?

Yeah, I need to be sent the actual bot file to be able to make any decisions on it
Ok, I'll send him to you some point today.

DP:

I'd like any house robots to be sent to me within the next 24 hours please, just so I can start making some videos including them and get some testing done.
Did you get my PM?

Rust Spawn is cool but a bit messy. I like this clamp of yours however.
Thanks!

Here's' a possible house robot design for Craaig's upcoming tournament:

Trainiac.
(Notice the giant evil eyes on top with the spikestrip eyebrows)
Since cheatbot2 was allowed, I made the best use of it, adding the Razer damage zones to his front plow so that he can do more damage. It's untested in battle, but during construction I was having issues keeping him within the 2500KG weight limit.
Whoa, I really like Rust Spawn Stage 2, shame I didn't see that sooner. While I like 1.1, I for some reason quite adore how II looks. I'm conflicteeed
Well, at least you have Goblin Shark II's chassis in Steam Soldier. I was a bit too lazy to show off Rust Spawn Stage 2 when he was first built.

Few notes:

Updated rules, you may have a maximum of 1 of any of these, total: Mechavore disc, Microvore disc, Moros blade, Frenzy hammer, Minion disc

Also worth bearing in mind for everyone working on House Robots, I'm only using 4-6 of them and several slots have already been taken. Please be aware.

Could you at least have a mini-tourney featuring the house robots that didn't make the cut?

NICE! I'm still trying to think of an interesting design for a house robot.

Expect a house bot and entry from me.

I may also include some of my new Battlebot's replicas, since the housebot will have custom-colored parts.

Oh hey there!

Welcome to GTM!

If you mean on if there's a limit, nah, but it will luckily mean more than one robot can advance to the single bracket elimination, if it goes over 30 maybe
Did you get my new PM?

Why is res 800 X 600?

Anyway i ditched chronic's multiple part bot... i has just way too many issues... ima make it out of 2 or 3 (excluding the flipper... and skinning also sucks..
I dunno.

Also, I would rather have armor panels and stuff come in multiple parts, rather than just be one big shell with some accessories like in the Robot Wars modpack.

Also, I'm sure I won't need custom armor panels for Chronic's chassis. However, judging from what I've seen from you so far, I think you CAN help me with something a bit better:

I'm planning on finishing a Chinkilla replica, but I can't get the replica flipping arm. If I provided you with the robot (minus flipper) do you think you could model the chin component?

Alright, here's a little teaser for the next robot I'm replicating:

Question is, who is it?
Here's another view:

So here's one that's been sitting on my computer 90% done for like ever that I decided to finish.  Brutus Maximus.  IRL robotics has been eating up all my time mostly, but we'll see if I can get back into this.

(Image removed from quote.)

Nice to see you're still here!

With the decompiler:

When the program is open, go to the component you want to edit. Double click it so the program pops back up/flashes like nothing happened. That means it's currently working. Now type in a name in the box you want as a placeholder for editing the component

It should give you a confirmation. Now you can edit that name you typed in the box, in Notepad++ or similar. When you've finished editing, go to the compiler, and do the reverse. First you double click the edited named component, then when it pops back up/flashes, double click the component you WANT edited so it compiles your edited version into the now NEW version of your component

Example:

Decompile:

I want to edit A. I open the decompile up. Double click A. Name B in the box. Drag B into Notepad++. Edit things.

Compile:

Open compile up. Double click B. Double click A. Complete
Ok, new issue:

I did everything as required. I decompiled Name B or whatever, but it's no longer a gmf. It's just a regular old file. I can't compile it anymore. I opened it up on notepad and copy-pasted it over a blank copy of the gmf file and tried compiling it as specified in your instructions, but it ended up being blank.
