oheycool a discussion about Google+

*clicks topic*

Never got anti-abortion. I feel that it's justified if it's not going to have a fun life because of lack of cash and stuff.

Never mind..

Grab yourself this program

https://gametechmods.com/Robot_Arena2/Tools/CFZ_Compiler.exe

And decompile RA2.cfz (its in the same place as the .exe)

Then jump into "Armour Definitions" via notepad and the rest should be straight forward.. Copy/ Paste for new armours or edit the existing stuff.

< Warning do this in a separate copy of RA2 as armours are written into bot files not read from by the game files themselves upon loadup >

When your done with your edits, recompile the .cfz and make sure its back in the right place (RA2.cfz in the main index folder)

Thats easily the biggest deception in this whole community..

3DSM isnt a simple program that pops out any component you think of.. you need to still manually piece together the GMF file yourself. Infact you need to learn the notepad stuff prior to tackling 3DSM exporting to know exactly what your doing / writing into files.

I cannot recall doing a whole component start to finish in 3DSM.. I usually model some display mesh stuff in Max then put it together / edit it further with notepad.

My preference is Notepad but it depends on your ability to visualize objects based on co-ordinates.

  • power = x y   How powerful this motor is. x is the maximum speed and y is the gain (something like torque).  For burst motors, this is how powerful the motor is when it is winding back up.
  • burst = x y z For burst motors only.  x is the initial force the motor fires with, y is the maximum speed it can reach, and z is the gain.

Neat, I would add a touch of colour though.. just subtle not blinding but makes it more inviting then a newspaper..

Watermarked colours or tinted colours might work best as they wont overpower the rest of it..

You lot sure are going to hate me for this but let me address everything..

IF Freeziez or someone else wants I can send him the bots and they can continue from there,

It was declared ages ago back when we first implemented a system that bail recovering would not be accepted.. if you want a tournament you start your own now, not pick up the pieces of someone elses.

Not to mention the fact that

1) Freez has a tournament in discussion which violates 1 tournament per person rules
2) Freez isnt a Major league host

If I get muted for this, IDC. but I'm just too busy to run this big a tourney right. now.

Tad over dramatic isnt it?

You only get verbally told that you may not make any tournament discussion threads for a set period of time, not that it would be of any bother to you if you claim to have no time.

I don't think this should be classed as bailing because Badnik's reasons are justified and as PR said, real life comes before video games.

How easy is if for someone to claim something believable on the internet using nothing but text? Not saying this is the case now but its fairly obvious why there is the same clean cut rule for every single person.

--------------

The situation is this.. since Badnik has no current desire to host another tournament at this moment this will remain active untill either the allowed time period is up or Badnik ends it one way or another...

I will close off discussions until told otherwise by Badnik, he can either pick it up a few months later, etc or shut it down whenever he likes (and take the "gift" that comes with bailing)

Attention GTM customers.

Some green ticks have been found in old tourney threads, could the owners please make their way to page 2 and remove them.

Thanks.

Tournament Sign Off

Basically, once you are finished with your tournament just toss Geice/Guldenflame a pm saying "tournament completed", "tourney finished", "I like pink bicycles btw I finished my tournament", "when's the forum hierarchy coming out btw i finished my tournament", whatever..

This is to let the tournament staff know that you are done with everything (including the awards thread if you are having one). Your tournament will be removed from the active tournament lists as the recipient next logs in.

What not to do list:
  • Please don't inform the tournament staff when someone else finishes a tournament, its the hosts job to decide when its done.
  • Please don't send more then one pm "sign off" if the information isn't updated as fast as you want (we all have outside lives too).
  • Please don't start a new discussion topic before signing off.
