Hey there stranger. Thanks for the help/input. Wham it might help if you were more specific about what you're trying to do...

If BFE were permitted, there is no way it could be regulated/monitored. I understand why one would want to use it for certain kosher things (some mentioned above), BUT it would only make major headaches for all involved. For this reason, legalizing any BFE mods in regular tourneys cannot happen. But if certain 'freak' tourneys ok it for everyone (i.e. ACAMS' BOTM), then it is what it is.... .

RM, I'm not sure what it is you're asking about the bot mesh(es). In the bot file there is only a collision mesh and a display mesh. And via BFE, you CAN alter one without affecting the other. I'm not sure I understand your objective here either, except that it will be either a 'FPS' or 'racing' game. Could you explain more, with text and some better pics...? .

Even though I've have no prob with someone doing it when it could be done in the Lab anyway, I always wondered whether to 'make public' or even a 'tutorial' about BFE. Talking with ACAMS and CB, I never could justify explaining publicly how to do it, else it would open a can of worms. So I haven't, nor did I add it to the " Tutorials Poll" as an option (though tempted to). Probably building's better left in the BotLab, because of the potential abuse of anything else. .

SSG, FRAPS work great for me, but I know 'results may vary'. I think the quality is better because the adjustments are for higher resolution, more FPSs, and/or larger screen size. FRAPS has these adjustments for high quality recording, but the files also get huge and the cpu starts to feel it. .

..... I would be happy if you were to team up with me, for I am having trouble just building the one robot, But it's up to you Well, Doom, I wouldn't mind that, but Pys and I already agreed we'd team up. But thanks for your offer. LRA2, someone will team up with you; just be grateful and not arrogant for whomever you team up with... (and work hard on your bot...)

Joe, can you get on MSN or Yahoo. I have LRA2's bot up and going... LRA2 says he doesn't have an IM. Try me later, after work--(about 6 hours from this post).

LRA2, if you send me your bot file, I'll see if I can find why it doesn't work... Else, build another.

Thanks, Trov. Yea, that's the 'how' of the 'what'. I left the APs on the SZs 'universal' for some custom apps (like this) of attaching components anywhere needed even away from the bot. Didn't let this fact be known because of potential abuse, though a few already discovered it, and now it's public. BFE would work fine here too, though more involved. Joe, 1. I just thought if the plates were all located in the same spot on the bot, then all would be equal, and everyone would know where their weapons need to aim toward. 2. It really doesn't matter to the game if the bots are a tad over 800kg, due to a SZ (or anything else for that matter).

Thought: Joe, what if you, the guy running the tourney, placed a plate (1) in the middile of the bot, (2) at a certain height just above the bot, (3) facing forward, that the other bot is to knock off to win. They are ALL in the same spot on every bot. Then whatever is done beyond this, is up to the builder to design. But it is a 'common' target for all. I'll help you place them if you want..

A client emailed this to me this morn. It is a sign posted to make sure that men know that this fence is not a bathroom. Probably effective: .

This was a 'He said... She said..." scenario. I do know one of the insiders of that scenario. I don't know all of the facts, not sure anyone does. But both were angry and mean to one another. Having counseled more than a few couples, I know that men tend to be insensitive jerks, and women tend to pull the 'victim' card to justify whatever they 'feel' like doing to their husbands. Women's Rights groups rallied behind her, as do ethnic and racial groups to vindicate their own. She should have just left him, not taken a knife to him. If he'd have dismembered her in some way, they would have hanged him by his... well you know. Although later aquitted (legally), she afterward also admitted to beating up her very own mother, while the elderly women was just sitting and watching TV: http://www.nytimes.com/1997/12/08/us/bobbitt-s-ex-wife-charged-in-assault.html?sec=healthHe also carried his anger issues with him after their divorce,...manifested by several assault charges. A sad scenario, for sure. BTW: No I'm not prejudice, just factual. I am a white male; my wife is black-from Kenya, is a teacher, like me, and teaches math and physics. She is also often appalled at Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton for their intermittent lapses in objectivity. WASPS have their Archie Bunkers too. No matter what happened, be careful what you accept as true. It takes sometimes months for me to get to the bottom of things in counseling couples. BTW2: She married again;.. don't know how someone could fall asleep in the same bed with her. "Sweet dreams" scenario: .. . .... ... ... .. ....! .

I'll give it a try with another bot. *Thinking of a new kind of tourney...* Goodness me. Well, seems he deserved it.. Don't you think talking out the issue might be a bit more productive?

Of course SC and ACAMS are both excellent bot builders. The problem is that they often find each other subject to 'friendly fire'...

I think I have a couple AI bots for this... Run by " Lorena_Bobbitt.py" Technique: Attack before they're even awake and active....

Cool. I've never seen the snake one... LRA2, why don't you get one that is NOT self-deprecating,... for a change? Most probably thought that we did that to your avatar. Do something nicer.
