More answers to more statements hurrah
1. We know people will do what they want despite our polite requests, so I added an Easter egg for those who do. Hardly difficult to get rid of. At least Maz took it as the joke it is, unlike some. 2. Some classic roboteers were uncontactable or didn't want to be a part. Their reasoning is honestly nothing to do with us or you, their own reasons and we never demanded reasoning. Going official helped increase the reach of the mod and help attempt to bring more robot combat fans into the ra2 community. Everything we did, all the hundreds of hours of modelling, skinning, researching, contacting, pr, we did for the community for free. May be wise to take heed of that.

<3 So why was this exactly done :P I didn't know about a 2013 pack and was a bit surprised to see some old machines not in the pack(guess it has to do with licensing?). By the way, do you know what's up with the licensing now and if Robots Live/Roaming Robots/Robot Wars still has the original music tracks? Would love to have the original ones(I know there's some game rips but they don't have everything and every version).
I tried out the pack some time ago, it's very well done and I enjoy it(sadly only 2 classic house robots?), wonder if it wouldn't have been possible to use a limited hinge for Sewer Snake's top armor and to add something to help with the ground clearance(I tried to fight shunt but couldn't get under him while other bots can).
oh we wanna play the million questions game huh? okay. 1. other mods have inferior quality replicas. rather they weren't mixed with rwra2. no secret. 2. we tried to get everything we could but had to get permission from every single builder who has a bot featured in the game wow i've typed this at least 600 times over the last year. we contacted a LOT of people. some of them were good, some of them didn't want to be involved, some we couldn't contact at all. that's life. 3. idk what's up with licensing but that's one of many reasons we stopped. 4. no idea we used the game rips. 5. only 2 classic house bots oh no there's like over 150 bots dude 6. we tried lots of things for sewer snake. the fact it works like the original at all is a miracle. k?

The arena floor thing is because both arenas have floors with the same skin name, so the game loads one then uses it until you close the game. In this case you must've played in the Lumazone before you went into the test lab. I've usually had it occur the opposite way around.

AS's points are definitely solid and a lot better thought out than many other 'GTM is dead' posts. 100% open ears to what we can do to get the place foxed up.
(I realise I typoed that second to last word but considering I'm wearing my Foxic tee it's too fitting)

Decided on a whim to transfer some robots from the 2013 AI pack to the RWRA2 pack.
I can only assume this is some form of trolling by the dev team.
Well played.

Thank you. Was surprised nobody pointed this out before now :) Seem as though we can't deter people from doing stuff we didn't want them to do, I figured I'd make it awkward ;p

Anyways, Storm2 should have good chances for the 2016 reboot, but something just tells me that they are one of those teams that didn't have enough time and will lose for some reason early on in the tournament.
Storm has been running for years pretty much in it's current form, I can't see any reason they wouldn't have had enough time.

DTK team are lovely and Mike entrusted them with her knowing they'd run her well. It likely drives better with tail up for largely obvious reasoning. Shane hit it for dramatic effect, don't get hung up on it. Didn't even put a dent in it. And yeah. The cold. Oh wow the cold. I wore 3 layers on top and I was still freezing. Valves freezing up is why a lot of pneumatic weapons, from thz to tr2, had issues. Finally the Toxic 2 team didn't apply with that bot, not a lot extra to say there

On that note.. im not totally up to date but roaming robots live tour was full of robots wasnt it? is their something im missing? why do we have MDF robots built 5 days before the competition and not so many of the proven, solid robots from the circuit? licensing issues? or have they all since retired?
Most of the notable live circuit non-flippers are in the series, problem is there's so many flippers on the live circuit the series would've been full of them if they all got accepted. Plus they wanted cannon fodder for the more powerful bots.

Urgh, another weak heat with barely any robots functioning to their full potential. The BBC really needs to give a bit more notice to competing robots next time, it seems that every melee has half the robots saying there's something wrong that they haven't tested after repairs.
This. So many bots were barely finished when they went up to Glasgow, what does Mentorn expect when the timeframe is so ridiculously short.

Difference between being lucky and being on a 2016 heavyweight team involved in RW.

TONIGHT:
Some Dutch lads with GF93's favourite bot, Harry Potter (Sorry Will totally borrowing from Dave), A Whale Wrangler, a trio of foxy boiz, some spinny ones and more take to the arena. 8 and a half hours to go.
Who is everyone's prediction to take this heat?

The engine etc is basically hardcoded into the exe, you'll have a hell of a job getting into there. As for the sounds, best thing to do with RA2 is just give it a shot and revert if it doesn't work :)

It's the skins that need the update more than the models in my opinion.
Also for the 50 flips thing, are you using only an extender? If a motor has very little weight on it it can havok and freak out. Try adding some more.

More weight on fewer motors will displace the axles from the motors. Add more motors or reduce the weight (1200kg is a good target if you want to go heavier than 800kg as that's the official GTM SHW limit)
