What, No Luv?

Also, I'm planing on releasing another alpha test with the bots and their components, so if you're interested, send me a message.

I made this for Rob's Boxing Tournament:

He's even on the BotExchange as he uses no custom parts outside of DSL 2.2 and the IRL Packs.

The bot is looking sick AF!
(i see that you still use 800X600)
Thanks!
(The image quality on my monitor is not that advanced.)

Anyway, here's a trifecta of triangle-based bots I made into replicas:

TriMangle:

During testing of this bot, I noticed the weapon system destroy every robot in it's path. This is, without a doubt, my most powerful replica yet. I'll need to nerf the weaponry for the sake of accuracy.
Bermuda Triangle:

This bot may need to be revised with a simpler chassis, since this bot seems to enjoy freezing and/or crashing my computer at times. His weapon has invisible matilda teeth that do damage.
Aggressive Polygon:

This bot was a lot of fun to work on. Nuff' said.

I've also retextured Timmy and Mecha Tentomushi, who's getting a revised shell. I tried making Hypershock but I suck at making drum spinners, so I failed pretty badly. I'll probably some time later.

you got so dmn good at this it's insamne.

have you ever considered to make some of the ABC Battlebots like Hypershock?

Agreed.

...maybe I can make one for my BBAI pack, spare Sonny of the work. He seems to prefer Robot Wars whilst I prefer Battlebots.

TGM and TPI are official wizards of replica making without really using the chassis
To be honest, TGM is better with the armor plates and what-not.

Anyways, here's The Locksmith:

Real one:

Eruption, hoping to one more quickie after this before the year ends in the US.  Due to havok issues the claw doesn't move but it still is good at holding bots that can fit inside.

Dude, how did you skin those armor panels to have decals like that? I have SO many replica ideas that can't be done because I can't skin armor panels that way.

not really new, the nar ai deadbeat has the same setup and is old as sh**

how havoky is it? i made one in stock and it had massive havok problems

Mine doesn't havok at all. The ballast at the side of the mechanism seems to keep the robot stable.

"...hello showcase, my old friend..."

Anyway, I've got something revolutionary in hammer-bot technology:

I found a new way to make a 180 degree hammer!

...and his name is JOHN CE-

His name's pipsqueak.

He uses a chained-burst motor setup I thought of about a year ago, but it wasn't as efficient in stock, so I didn't showcase it.

BUT, can he self-right?

Nice stuff TGM.

Not to be out-done, here's some stuff for my BBAI modpack:
Blade Runner
(Image removed from quote.)
I added a secret, invisible 3rd wheel near the front so that he can spin a LOT faster. It's driven by a small cheat motor concealed withing the arm of his pickaxe. It performs much like the real one.
Scrap Daddy LW55
(Image removed from quote.)
Still not fully tested yet. Still looks good. I went a little crazy making sure every small bit was accurate. (Even the blue plastic bin thing is there, at the back.

is your BBAI pack released? If so where can I find it? If those two replicas are anything to go by it looks amazing
It's still a work in progress. You can find the thread in the custom components showcase section.

Craig: And, everyone suggesting a texture - can you provide a image of the material in question, as a basis to research? The more the merrier as it helps narrow it down faster.

Baconus: Weapons  will be getting it's own pack, not every weapon will get every colour/texture variation, but most weapons will be included.

Tommy: Pink is something I may include as an additional colour. I won't be doing any gray shades as there's already three metal types in 2.2, it just feels redundant to include minor variations.

Badnik: it's not a huge deal, but it would have been nice if they did line up. As for the flame suggestion, would it be similar to the flame wedges in Ironforge, or an all over one like the current lava paint texture?

The issue is what If I wanna make light grey steel extenders?

Speaking of which, would it be easier if I did those for you?

My BBAI pack can use a few colors for armor and extenders:

Pink
Dark Grey
Light Grey
Grey

Aaand that's pretty much all I can think of. Nothing too crazy, just simple stuff. I could help you if you'd like. You know, get the GMF stuff out of the way.
