another MP bot. sort of a hybrid pusher and HS. very agile and stable, seems great on arenas where it can push opponents into hazards. can actually self-right with a little time if it spins both weapons the same direction. the weapons being in that orientation mean if it gets flanked (big deal in online) it isn't as big of a deal. they also help center bots it's pushing while doing damage at the same time.

It's good, but it feels off from nor having more weapons on it.
what it needs more is stronger drive. like most complicated designs it'll probably work better on a HW.

notttt really sure if this'll work but I liked the idea. pretty much exclusively for online play, and even still only in arenas with hazards. need to test it. it's a grabby control bot that should be able to force opponents into hazards and stuff. the gimmick is that the servo piston can be extended in the event of fighting opponents that can flank or out-wedge it, since many bots don't have wedges on the sides the idea is it can pop them in the air just enough to mess up their footing. it's basically a thwack wedge if it needs it. otherwise its just some extra stability when it's retracted so in THEORY it's a win-win. the claws are closed in the starting position btw.

This mini tourney was really fun to participate in. I really need to get used to the speed of ironforge bots now lmao
6/7 qualifiers have been filmed. Once I get the last one will put up the compilation of all 7

Fun fact: Clickbeetle has experience in online tournaments.
If you can call "getting to the semifinals with a noob bot because half the competitors dropped out due to scheduling issues, and then getting completely destroyed by a generic HS in my one and only fight, but not seeing what even really happened because lag had me jumping all over the arena and even winning at one point" experience, then I suppose I do.
you'll kill us all Test match. no bearing on the actual tournament. trying to get editing and format locked down (and to get people pumped cause boyeee look how much more fun it is to watch than ai tournaments).

Badnik, cringey, trackerzod and 8bean all did their qualifiers today. some results were... interesting once everyone plays their match I'll combine them all for the first video, then we'll get to the main bracket.

SPLASH BRACKETS Warning: SPOILERS! Don't look until you've watched the matches! VIDEOS QUALIFIERS Due to having 7 entrants, one competitor will receive a bye. Rather than assign it randomly, a mini challenge was held to see who could kill the dummy bot (driven by me) the quickest. The best time automatically receives the bye and gets to skip the first round.

just not really sure where else you'd get weight besides shrinking the chassis. that may not be a good idea though.

should be pretty solid. not much else you can do with the weight restrictions. you can probably get away with less weapons with the arena hazards and good driving.
