remember playground? me neither
I don't remember the Playground. But its still mentioned on the TV tropes page for this site. If anyone reads the page on Tv Tropes anyway?

542
Might as well join the bandwagon for no real reason.

Will we ever see some glorious robot boxing?
no
Don't say that! We have to wait a see if Rob actually posts the first match in the next 24-48 hours, before deciding this was a waste of time.

(Image removed from quote.)

it's ass but it can SOMETIMES beat v4 fury so it's actually marginally ok for this design
Seriously? Out of any bot design you could of built, why did you build this? It does have a good controlling ability and a good weapon choice [The Razors] , but that front wedge will be ripped off despite its reach and it just lacks the weaponry. Needs more Razors, that all I can say.

How much does it weigh anyway? It may be a heavy-weight but is there any weight spare or something?
I'm assuming it's a MW, both from the pic and because he's testing against Fury
I should of looked up Fury but I wasn't aware of Fury in the Starcore AI pack. To my view it look like a Stock heavy-weight but it was only assumption because Badnik didn't post the weight so I guessed. Well thanks for correcting me that Badger.

Contests / Re: BOTM APRIL 2017
« on: March 29, 2017, 10:49:34 AM »
We need a balance of good quality robot BOTMs and meme BOTMs.
How about if we just make next months BOTM meme themed then? Some of the memes may possibly be dead by the end of April, but at least some people can have a laugh about it like many of Thrackerzod entries (no offence Thracker, but you do make good skeleton bots) .
But seriously call me a kill joy, when most of the low quality meme splashes are funny at first, they lose their humour and taste later on like many of the poor quality BOTM meme splashes. We laugh at them first, then we look back on it and we think "what a load of ****" despite some still being unforgettable and still funny later on.

This of course comes from last months BOTM when 3 out of 13 splashes were parodying Asbstar's quality of his splash for February's BOTM and yes as I stated before, when it was worth the joke, the taste of the splash quickly becomes outdated and some of us will find them a pile of ****, when we compare them to the higher quality of other BOTM splashes. Whoever really does look back to older posts anyway? As before, just persuade Meganerdbomb to have a Meme themed BOTM for next month or just ignore me and carry on with what you are doing because I'm talking like rubbish here.

needs a more shallow chassis wedge and maybe go for just the one wedge for more razors?
I can go with three on one of the connecting extenders as seen on my WIP heavy-weight if you want me to? I've tried it before on this bot, and it pushes the weight to 399 KG dead on which is on the limit of most Middle-Weights on the forums. I was also debating that before I debated on the wedges.

This showcase feels more dusty than my DSL showcase. Still, this is a Pop-Up that I've been working on for Crapcan Derby 2.
Yes, it's still in the line of the amour-pop up series but I thought this is one of the best middle weight pop-ups I've built.

Now I'm debating about the wedges as one of the extenders of each wedge appears to be vulnerable to damage. Should I keep them as they are, or reduce the total length of them both?
Edit: More Razors?

lol @ this mess
It started out funny. It's mostly just annoying now.
If it's annoying, just end it or don't post anything like anyone else. I may be stating a obvious point but, it's better just to end it.

You're the one who called Demon autistic for playing IRL.
haha that was obviously just a joke
admittedly a bit harsh, but it was right there.
Look, just because someone focuses on a certain meta, doesn't mean they're Austistic
yea no ****ing sh**
it was a meme
Well I sorry, it wasn't a good one. I might as well not of posted in the first place. But do carry on.

Look, just because someone focuses on a certain meta, doesn't mean they're Austistic Despite Demon being Austistic. Demon may just prefer that meta over most other metas. This meta may be over used but at least some of us have fun with IRL building but not everyone.
But Seriously, this should argument should just stop. When IRL is overused by lots of users, maybe it should be up to other members like you to bring more variety to the tournament boards someday. Which is hardly ever these days with IRL everywhere.

553
What a good idea. It's helps out if you want to enter a tournament to know what the weight-class is and the build-meta. Guessing this is will be kept on the sign-ups board due to this having no reason to be on the videos board, except being about the same reasons above.

Your Weapon motors will be heavily prone to being ripped off by another VS or a pop-up. You can save weight by building the weapon off a single snapper and try putting moving the weapon motors in the chassis, using the snappers or snapper.
Your Drive is also heavily exposed and don't use those wheels! Use Shiny hubs because they better grip compared to the ones you're using.
Not bad for a first attempt but seriously, do have a read of ClickBeetle's tutorial here: http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/ra2techs.htm
Edit: Need to just say some more about this.
Edit 2: Good use on DSA, it's much better  in Stock compared to what it is in DSL.

556
Multiple weight-classes you say?
I'll be happy to enter this tournament seeing it's sounds similar to other tournaments like Swords of Glory when you can build any bot for any weight division without having to enter them all.But seriously, I don't know how difficult is it to build a realistic Ant-weight in a game full of top heavy parts and from someone who can't build Ant-weights (If anyone can give me an example, please PM me), it might be possible but I'll probably give those weight-classes a pass. Apart from that, I'll give the other weight classes a good attempt, even when I don't win. Overall, I'm up for it.

557
Okay, another early morning update. Following Shield's advice, I made more improvements onto my Beetle-Weight. I've resized the chassis, change the drive motors and put iron spikes onto my machine. The reason for the astroflights is to prevent havoking which I encountered during numinous test drives. I tried putting on iron spikes on the old verison, but it kept pushing the Robot overweight. So here's the new design:

It should also weigh about 174 Kg to the nearest whole number if you want to know.

558
What's your armor? You've still got 5 good kgs which can do a lot at this size. And have you tested how long 2 ants will last you?
It's Plastic 5 and I don't know how long the battery power lasts. If you want to play around with it, I'll post the link from the Bot Exchange.

559
Okay, since no one answered my question. I've made more improvements onto my BeetleWeight. This time without stacked batteries or ***** DSL Razors.
Is this better or worse by any chance?

Quote from the DSL-Standard Ruleset.
-Stacking (putting a component inside another) is strictly forbidden.
Thanks for letting know, I didn't realise that Stacking in DSL-S was forbidden, I made a few changes to that.
dont use razors, they are straight up trash in 2.2
I didn't realise Razors were trash because I remember seeing the old BBEANS tournarments and Razors were being used. But that was DSL 2.1 and things had changed. So what do you recommend then?
