Stock Showcases / Re: Neon Tries Stock

You might want to read this section of ClickBeetle's tutorial: http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/ra2techs.htm#extenders.
This Section is perfect if you need to know about how to use extenders effectively, without needing to use angle connectors as seen on The Messiah and knowing where to connect perfectly. Remember that in Stock, longer extenders like the 60cm extender, has the same amount of health as a short 20cm extender. For your Pop-up, try using multiple 20cm extenders for the wedge of your Pop-Up instead of a longer 60cm since the multiple 20cm will give you more health over the single 60 cm. Also try to avoid using the Square extenders if you can since while they appear heavier and easy to use than the round ones, they have the same amount of health as the round ones, being less useful, since you could use the spare weight from the round extenders for more weaponry like more Razors.

Tournament Archives / Re: Complete Carnage [STOCK HW/SHW]
« on: April 08, 2017, 07:26:33 AM »
The idea sounds fun and the demonstration match is brutal. But because it's Stock HW/SHW, I'm afraid, I'll pass on this unless one of you guys can persuade me to enter.

523
I might build something else when I do feel like it. Also just to be politically correct, my SHW is just "Drum of War", but the "the" part makes it better if you think so.

7. Dark-AI
Edit: Sorry Meganerbomb, it's Dark-AL! not Dark AI. I know some people on the Discord had be saying Dark-AI but the I is actually an L.
This seems to be a running thing with you...
I'm afraid so. But I'm already used to it.

7. neon calypso
7) Guldenflame
7: Ugh. If you think a robot is a bit sh**, no offense but just don't post it for BOTM. Guldenflame.
7: Feels like Guldenflame quality to me, but iunno.
You really thought 7 was Guldenflame or Neon Calypso , but it me Dark-AL all along!
Yeah I thought it would be fun to do something else for a change and yet, no one guessed me despite the bot's looks. The Bot going in the bot exchange if you seriously feel like you want to make improvements and you'll glad to hear, I'll be not making a BOTM splash for next month.
Now you're all saved.

Headed inthe right direction but you could consider reinforcing the supports (I.E making them form a triangle for better shock absorption etc.) But its already lookin p cool actually
Thanks very much. I've been a little concerned that when I've been testing it, the bot tips onto it side. Should I change the sidebars near the end to be vertical, despite this maybe not solving the problem?

Ok, After following Shield's advice, I followed on to rebuild my SHW into something like REDRUM after it looked like if Counter-Revolution 2 and Daisy Chopper had a baby. So without further than do, here it is:

Also the battery that looks like it's intersecting the other black is actually on top of the motor before you complain its not IRL.

Yet again another bulk Post since A. No one is having anything to say (Due to posting at the wrong time) and B. Because I have built something better despite being the third Bulk post I've done.
So moving on, this is SHW that I have be building, since I had a brain storm while having my Dinner. While I was forced to use the component intersection tool on the sergepatcher, I think it's pretty good to see the end result. Also the paint job will be coming soon.

After saying that I wasn't intending to enter DOOT tournarment, I'm feeling that I do want to have a go, but only in certain weight divisions!

Another Bulk post. This is a little flame thrower bot that I cobbled together in around five minute or so for fun, this is purely experimental so feel free to have a say on this and do say for any improvements.
Also no, I don't intend to give this bot ago in DOOT's tournament due to me lacking the interest in IRL bots and having to go though the hassle into making them look good when I really want to build something quickly despite last time. So I may give the tournament a miss and just watch it.

533
Why is it Reeetooled?
Life is simply unfair.
It's times like this that we need to get use to it.

My verdict and possible guesses:
1. Well if you didn't want to build a IRL Heavy-Weight, build something on a theme. Still cool looking.
2. Could of done with better weaponry but I love the character behind all of this. Gives the bot some personal identity behind the nervous wreck.
3. Nice chassis paint job. Could do well in a tournament.
4. Call me a long-nose Jew. I've seen better Nazi-bots than that like what 090901 built for Light Vs Dark.
5. True Thrackerzod quality here. Moving on!
6. This make me envious to build an awesome and workable IRL bot.
7. Yeah. It's really "Impractical" for whoever to make spelling mistakes on the splash.

Noob question: When do Sign-ups close by any chance?
I just need to know when to start building.
They'll start closing when I get 16 entries in each weightclass or if entry flow slows down considerably.
Thanks, got into an unnecessary panic when the sign-ups were opened. Will be making a least one entry soon.

Played a lot of Mafia online back around 2014-2015 or so. When I may be a bit rusty, I'll be so down for this especially with the Gimmick of RA2.
But it will possibly turn an entire Tournament into a massive role play, comment filled board with the RA2 element.

Not bad. Though for some of Robot's like Bruiser, the chassis is too large. You could make the chassis smaller to save weight so you can use it for more weapons or anything else that might take your fancy like replacing the single mace with a chain of spikes. Just remember to build your chassis around your parts, not the parts for the chassis if you need an idea.
For Devorcatrz, don't use Standard axe heads for the teeth! There are more powerful weapons components in the game that can deal more damage than the axes head like Typhoon teeth for example, if you struggling to put them on, try shave off some weight like replacing the heavier bicycle wheels for more smaller wheels with better grip like shiny hubs or something. Also for your Cruiser, avoid using the PC265 batteries, you get enough power for your cruiser using some of the long black batteries or a couple of ant batteries and these will save you some weight of your Robots, you should have enough power to last a three minute match in most cases.

Overall, not a bad start into DSL IRL. As you learn, you builds will get better over time so don't worry about it. Also what Armour do you use anyway?

Thank you for the advice! I tend to use the Steel armour across my robots apart from Crumplezone which I picked aluminium for.
From a lot of sources like the defunct wiki and Senior members like Naryar, Armours types like Titanium and plastic 5-10 (don't use 3mm in a serious bot but 1mm can be handy for lighter bots I think) are recommended, because both types are good for bot protection and good on bot weight management as well. Armours like Steel and Aluminium are particularly useless due to the later being somewhat weak and the former being a waste of weight, try avoiding them if you can. At least you didn't say DSA (Double-Strength Aluminium). When DSA is required for Stock building due to DSA being toughest out of all the Stock armours, DSA is incredibly weak when compared to the strengths and toughness of other DSL armours. Hope this help anyway.
