Hooray for more rules
one things are not very clear
what if a perfectly mobile robot just simply doesnt break count ? (it does happen) and becasue the owner AI'd it they cannot appeal ? yet Clickbeetle does issue restarts for that ?
My ThoughtsHavok rules should be specified in the rule set, that is a requirement so no debating over that one.. thats at the hosts discretion what happens in a havok situation.
AI errors are AI errors and shoudl be fixed and trialed to see a difference in results, if it improves the match is refilmed. people will complain about its unfair the match restarted but what about the first match ? your opponent had an incorrectly AI'd robot? and thats fair is it ?
if a robot doesn't use the strategy you want (different python, controls wired, etc) and you didnt specify with the host what you wanted,
you have no case we are not mind readers so we cannot predict, its your job to wire everything correctly and specify what you want it to do. In this event I usually fix it for the next round but there is no do overs for that match.
(this one is my own personal rules so people may not use it)
while these can be used as a sample or template I dont agree with them imposed on all tournaments, it should be up to the host to use them otherwise they have some aspects of there tournament out of there control
