Well guys, I found THIS in the manual:
"This PS3 has LIMITID backwards compatibility with PS2 games."
So my PS3 has BC?
You would have a second Gen I mentioned above.. software emulator in the PS3 OS that was limited and buggy lol You actually would've been better off buying a current gen ps3 & a ps2 as it is actually cheaper than the $300+ price point of the older ones (A mistake I learned the hard way a couple days ago). That is unless you got it when the backwards compatable ones were still being sold. Then my advice holds no meaning
Exactly what I did.. instead of running around trying to find an old fat one just brought the latest model slimline and have a PS2 handy for any old school play, the slimline PS2s dont really occupy much space..

First Gen PS3 had a literal PS2 inside it (hardware, etc) pretty sure this was the big fat 60gb one
Second time around was software emulation but was rather buggy for some games and didnt support anything so they gave it the axe.. (early releases of the fat 40gb and 80gb ones)
Thats just from memory though lol, did a lot of research into it when buying my PS3 because I own countless PS2 games..

Nothing against anyone.. but the layout now drives me insane, too many sub forums.. it used to be a lot easier on the eyes..
In any case my extremely limited RA2 time is spent... elsewhere

Depends how long your going to take, geez :P tossing about the idea of rejoining in BOTM at some point.. my general building standards would be lightyears behind by now.. I wish keyboards had analogue sticks. Keyboards suck for gaming, what with their 'on/off' nature.
Couple of $$ on eBay you can get your hands on a PS2 to USB Adapter (or im sure there is an Xbox one out there) super cheap way to play PC games easier..

Most computer time is spent with my head in Illustrator and Photoshop.. so it only makes sense to use Mac.. Also the Magic Mouse is awesome... just saying.. :P

Ive noticed the forum seems to be getting a bit more cluttered in the tournaments section too.. hopefully thats a sign of a lot of activity..
Except boot camp.. did anyone ever figure out how to run RA2 on Mac? I just brought a new Mac with Lion.. Basically dont touch my old windows XP anymore..

Mobility isnt even present like this in the games engine :P The physical turning of wheels has nothing to do with a robots movement,
Also motors only operate on an axle within the game so you couldnt motorize a free moving object like that either to my knowledge
