All it takes is for something to get under that, or hit that hard, and it's screwed. Be careful with the tactic you're attempting.

I really like the defensive tactic you seem to be taking with these. Looks sweet! :D

I'm no modder, I can't get rid of the spikes. I realise I can't please everyone anymore so, youknow, the cube is being used. I've tried to find something everyone wants and it just wouldn't happen.

Discussion / Re: Using RW:ED Textures in RA2?« on: June 06, 2012, 11:40:24 AM »
I'm not sure the rest will be so easy, as the components aren't the same as they would be on the RW Hypnodisc - the wheels aren't even perfectly round in, and the teeth sure aren't that shape, but they could be used with a bit of work.

Magical ninja my friend, magical ninja.
If anyone wants that, just extract this to your RA2 directory, and overwrite as necessary. (Didn't want to upload a bmp to the server :P) EDIT: Thanks JB :P Also, YAY POST 3000. :) 4669

The Hypnodisc texture would be quite easy to implement though.
*goes to look through files* In the file Robot Arena 2>Components>Hypnodisc>maps there is a bmp file for the hypnodisc disc. It would be fairly easy to size down the image you pulled out of ED and put it over the still-very-nice version in there. 4671

It'd be much more difficult for the RW arena I guess, because all the dimensions will be slightly different. In fact, I believe everything is flipped horizontally in the RA2 RW arena.

I'm not actually convinced anyone's done this yet. Nice job.

Modifications / PokAImon: Releases« on: June 05, 2012, 07:24:04 PM »![]() Beta released! PokAImon (about 38mb) PLEASE take note: You should install this onto a completely clean version of DSL 2.1, after DELETING the AI folder. Remember to press Yes to All when overwriting files :D Please let me know of any issues with it, so I can fix them all up for you :D Apologies for fail UI, I did all that with no internet connection, using images I found on my laptop and rubbish paint.net skills. What is PokAImon? PokAImon is a Pokemon related RA2 DSL mod, where 6 teams are replaced with Pokemon bots entered in the 'Pokemon: The League Of Getehem' tournament. It also features a Pokemon Stadium arena, Pokemon UI, music and sounds, more hidden components used in other bots, and a few other little hidden tidbits! UPDATE: 8th February 2013 There's not really a lot I can do to update this pack, however, I realise most people aren't interested in replacing their AI bots with random Pokemon. So, because of that... PokBOTPACKmon PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF ANYTHING HERE DOESN'T WORK. Hopefully I included all components necessary for all the bots in the designs folder. PokMUSICmon I changed the DSL 2.1 music for PokAImon, and I really liked it. Fancy a change-up? Here you go. PokUImon Finally, the little bits of UI I made for PokAImon, including custom battle status indicators and eliminated/knock-out messages. 4674

Paha, I do take what you say as wisdom, this is true, but in this case I fully agree with what you're saying - this is why I really liked the Containment Cube idea, enough hazards to be a little hazardous and fun, but nothing gamechanging. This is why I'm fully against the COmbat Arena, and don't really want to use DSL Tourney again. XD

That thought did cross my mind, but I'm no good at arena editing and don't want to force anyone else to do it either 4677

Gahhhhh, the community never wants what the community wants, unless it's like a completely bog-standard tournament.
I'm not putting it in the combat arena, and that is the end of that one. :P 4679
