Woah, those are better than the ones from when I was a kid.
They weren't always this good. 8 years ago I made crude replicas of Comedy Central Battlebots competitors. That crusher is a thing of beauty, and I love the 4 bar lifter. However I think Shadow has got this one
Thanks! You were close when you guessed Shadow, for he DID make it to the final, BUT... ...the winner of that heat was the 4 bar launcher DEBRANATOR! It was a pretty quick final. Debranator was unopposed throughout the entirety of the heat, one-shotting opponents out the arena, including Shadow. I believe one of Debranator's fights lasted only 3 seconds. Anyway, on to the next heat...which, in my opinion, didn't look too spectacular. You'll see why in a moment. First up, Turret Syndrome: (I can make this joke because I myself have Tourettes Syndrome.) This offensively-named robot is a newcomer, armed with a hammer on a turret. It's a little underweight and the design is untested, but that hammer could be deadly. https://i.imgur.com/3Grj2Vh.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/ZsSpWRk.jpgUp next, Oscar: This robot started the trend of sub-par looking competitors coming on to this tournament. To be fair, this is a hearty robot, with a lifting tail that gets under everything and can trip up spinners. The front plates however can be broken off. https://i.imgur.com/iGqmIbO.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/j0fmqLd.jpgNext up, Metal Scorpion: Another crappy looking robot, with a flywheel that does no damage and a bendy lifter. However, this bot's ability to lift and flip itself around with the lifter makes it impossible to pin down or grab ahold of. He can also use confusion tactics against his enemies, and has a "scorpion attack mode" that's mostly consistent of him showing off. It's also vulnerable to crushers and spinners. https://i.imgur.com/ExnCQEM.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/n0QHxfR.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/1K5fmy5.jpgNext, Son of Doris: This bot has been around for YEARS, starting off as a wedge named Doris, later we got Son of Doris, who attained a crushing jaw, this machine has lots of experience and is very durable. Problem is, his crusher can easily bend itself out of shape, and can only damage certain types of robots. Those are really his only problems. He also features a self-righting tail. https://i.imgur.com/HIpSpLF.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/43SX25Y.jpgIron Golem: Any Minecraft fans here? Anyway, Iron Golem has been around for a little while, but hasn't had much success. It's got a big reliable hammer on it and is reasonably durable, but I'm still not to confident in this robot's chances. https://i.imgur.com/1IjvxrF.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/uHENYHL.jpgAnd finally, Silver Scarab: This bot is a newcomer and one of the 2 horizontal crushing robots in this tournament. It's a cool looking design but it's also untested. Obvious sri-mech is obvious. https://i.imgur.com/KVluKMC.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/kF7VKt8.jpgHopefully the images work, Imgur was being difficult with me, probably because I was uploading 13 pictures at once. Who do you think won out of this turd-fest? Leave your guess down below!

going for Beta Dragonis
Aaaaaand YOU'D BE CORRECT! It was a final between two rivals. Despite the upgraded flipper, Futerra 9000 lost not once but TWICE to Beta Dragonis, first in the round of the final 4, and then in the very final. Now on to the next heat! First up, from South Africa, Shadow: This massive foreign flipper has a lot of oomph in it's weapon. And with an improved wedge in the form of flipper fangs, they could be a potential champion. The only problems are inexperience, and the fact it will ALWAYS flip something over when it fires it's weapon...either an opponent, or itself. As such, it can also self-right. https://i.imgur.com/GIw9pIr.jpgNext up, Debranator: First Debra, then Debranator, then Debrastator, and now back to Debranator. The 4-bar launcher reminds me of RFL SHW Ziggy, and perhaps we'll see the same kind of performance as well. Problem is is that this is a revamped version of an old, outdated design, and has never been tested, until now. The weapon just barely doubles as a sri-mech. https://i.imgur.com/bjW5XFr.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/y3YxLsN.jpgFrom Japan, Fallen Angel: This bot doesn't play nice. It's essentially a pop-up flipper. You'd think the narrow blade would struggle to throw robots, but you'd be wrong. This bot's main weakness is the placement of it's drive system, way in the back, making steering difficult. It's a sturdy design, and can self-right from any angle, due to the sri-mechs and weapon, although it's tricky getting off of it's back. Does better righting from the sides. https://i.imgur.com/G2mNGnj.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/wQmKzNp.jpgAlso from Japan, Gaspy: You're probably wondering why we have so many Japanese entries in this tournament. Don't ask. Anyway, Gaspy is an adorable little flipper with decent power and great maneuverability, but those wheels are VERY exposed, and cuteness won't get you any further in Bot Wars. https://i.imgur.com/tCrwjA8.jpgUp next, All American Redneck: AMERICAAAA, F**K YEAH! *Ahem* Excuse me, uhh, this bot is based off of Revolutionist, not from Robot Wars Extreme Warriors, but from MLU4 Robot Wars, and the likes of Hypnodisc as well. This bot has got a lot of history, and has come in many forms, from axebot to VS. Lots of experience, speed, and power in this bot. Problem is...he's got a HUUUGE ground clearance under that blade. He's susceptible to flippers. https://i.imgur.com/3rtP5LC.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/EHo9x30.jpgAnd finally, White Privilege: You better check your god damn privilege, or this bot will check it for you. It's a big crushing arm with sri-mech arms and very high durability, in most areas...except the wedge. This bot is relatively new too. I wonder what he'll do with our South African black robot Shadow... https://i.imgur.com/PQJZjJz.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/cUV2FHW.jpg Who won this heat? Leave your guess in the comments below! It's what keeps this thread goin'.

And the winner of last heat waaaas...Zerschlagen! It was a close final, between Germany's Zerschlagen and China's Snap Dragon. Snap Dragon proved durable and did defeat Zerschlagen in an earlier bout, but this time was different. Zerschlagen got a lucky hit on Snap Dragon's rear, which housed the "electronics" and such. With that being said, on to the next heat! First up, Gory Glory: My own personal entry into the series. It's an outdated but cool looking design that I just can't give up. Decent weapon, but he's vulnerable to both flippers and the rebound of every single one of his hits. https://i.imgur.com/9dPh3PL.jpgNext up, Pumpjack: A Beta-style hammer bot that used to be more brown. The weapon is powerful but also has a tendency to break apart. His weapon enables him to self-right. https://i.imgur.com/h8bAkQN.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/5ULKaJm.jpgUp next, Chain of Death: A newcomer to the series, Chain of Death has chisels and chains, hence the name. The crooked bar on top enables him to self-right but I'm not to sure about the effectiveness of his weapon. https://i.imgur.com/OpEMWHm.jpgBeta Dragonis: One of THE best flippers of Bot Wars. He's toppled over both Mr.Psycho and Sir Killalot, and he's won a few tournaments. He's our current All-Stars champion. Only problem is...he's vulnerable to spinners... https://i.imgur.com/Lsu3B3n.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/Pr7oJaN.jpgFuterra 9000: And here's his arch-rival. Futerra and Beta Dragonis have had a recent history in both the war of the weapons and the all-stars, each bot defeating the other once. Futerra is a well built robot with a COLOSSAL flipper that is resistant to spinners. Those newly installed fangs on his flipper give him the ability to get under anyone. At the same time however, he's vulnerable to other flippers, his own kind. https://i.imgur.com/iMAAX7B.jpgAnd finally, Technofreak: This marvelous design has a giant swinging knife installed in it's flipper, which ALSO has fangs for getting under bots. The knife moves fast, but his design suffers from durability issues. https://i.imgur.com/wRwmHyY.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/dMqqKgd.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/Lg2EIHo.jpgWho do YOU think won the heat? What do you think of these robots? Leave a comment down below! (I'm gonna say that EVERY heat.)

Man some of those made up bots look sick :O you should remake a bunch in RA2
Lol I actually tried doing that earlier today. Didn't work out too well. Going with Tornado of Terror
These LEGO bots are what I wish my old LEGO robots would have looked like, keep up the awesome work!
Thanks! Also, it's interesting that you went with Tornado of Terror, because... Tornado of Terror won her respective heat! It was a close final between her and Creamsicle, but in the end her flipper was lower to the ground, thus she was able to send the Dutch robot oota. I'm going for Rhino but my predictions have about 10% success rate when it comes to robot combat in any form
Well, you were close. Rhino was in the final 3. Anyway, on to the next heat, the heat I did today! First up, Loong Boi: This newcomer has the longest flipper in all of Bot Wars history. But is does that translate to good flipping? Or will it just be a big, floppy, useless hunk of plastic? Only time will tell. https://i.imgur.com/IRgGXtf.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/BHNZkOz.jpgUp next, from Russia, Andre: This Russian robot is underweight an inexperience, but has a deadly looking spinner. It's also invertible. https://i.imgur.com/7Ji34SC.jpgUp next, Caustic Caution Reborn: An old veteran of Bot Wars has come out of retirement with a revamped design. The new flipper has spiky teeth that act as wedges. It's been over a year since this bot has last competed. Can it compare to modern day competitors? https://i.imgur.com/DLp3arB.jpgNext up, from Germany, Zerschlagen: With a name that roughly translates to "smash", Zerschlagen lives up to the German name by being an effective overhead spinner design. The crooked pole on top helps in self-righting and the hammers are reinforced to better withstand impacts. Will the German leave it's opponents squirmin'? https://i.imgur.com/vSWSg0I.jpgFrom China, Snap Dragon: Sheesh, what's with all the international competitors? Anyway, Snap Dragon is a Beta-style overhead hammer bot with tough red armor and a steely resolve to never die. This bot is known for taking a VERY long time to disable, even against the most powerful spinners. But that's only for the front of the bot... https://i.imgur.com/Wp3uCcI.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/uD91avj.jpgAnd finally, Poseidon: Another veteran from over a year and dozens of competitions ago, this bot was one of the original "full-body-spinners" to swoop in to Bot Wars and leave a path of destruction. It also features a scri-mech, which may seem unrealistic, but since I can't make ring spinners, this will have to do. https://i.imgur.com/iKXN4AZ.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/jPbOqXl.jpgSo, which of these bots do you think has won the heat? Leave a comment down below as the comments are what keep this whole thread afloat.

Modular CW clusterbot, all three robots weigh half the weight limit and I can pick two to fight for any given match. Blossom is a Backlash style vertical spinner with a Flatmotor and three Large Typhoon Teeth, Buttercup has a Perm 80 with a Mechavore Disc, and Bubbles has a Storm Burst for the flipper. All have 3 mm titanium armour and weigh between 299 kg and 300 kg.
OH BABY A TRIPLE! In all seriousness though, good job!

Ok, so that worked a couple times, but now it's not. The screen just goes white. I reload it and it says I've already posted it. (I haven't)
I reloaded, like, 7 times and it didn't work!

It's impossible to AI a piston or burst motor walker through conventional means. The game was never meant to do that. Would this be considered a walker or a shuffler? It's got articulated legs like a walker, but huge long feet (which are absolutely needed) like a shuffler. It works and everything, easy to AI, same as regular drive. And I've made it to where it doesn't havok while walking.

Wut, No Luv? (Probably should've expected that.) Anyway, the winner was Nonja. The upgraded design tore through numerous bots, including the promising newcomer Blue Moose, whom he initially lost to in a matter of seconds in one of the rounds. After pulling through the loser's bracket, the two met again and Nonja kept his distance, smashing into Blue Moose's armor until eventually breaking the sides, which contained the "drive system". Now on to our next heat! First up, Police Brutality: A newcomer to the wars, this Tombclone disc spinner is small and compact. But is it effective? Only time will tell... Up next, U.S.O: This Unidentified Spinning Object can be easily identified as the deadliest spinner I've ever made. It's supposed to represent a full body spinner, but it functions like a spinning top. Cheap, I know, but it works really well. You'll see several bots like this. The Tornado of Terror: Totally not a One Punch Man reference, this bot is also a newcomer, initially intended to be a spinner. But, I had a hard time finding the right parts in spite of having tons of legos. I opted for a flipper at the last minute, which can self-right, but I'm not sure if that was the best decision... Up next, Creamsicle: A robot representing the Netherlands, because I needed more competitors. He's a "shufflebot" and thus gets a TINY weight bonus, according to my rules. Very sturdy design, but the flipper struggles to get underneath anything. It also doubles as a sri-mech. And finally, Rhino: A durable axe-bot that can self-right. Not much else to it, the weapon isn't that effective. Who do you think will win? Please comment down below your prediction and I'll reveal the answer in my next post. Please leave a comment. I know at least 2 people are watching.

jesus tapdancing christ please put your image dumps in spoilers. It takes me like 10 seconds to load the first page and I'm on 100mbit down.
the replicas are neat tho, good work.
I'll keep that in mind. Here's the bots for heat 1: First up, here's Nonja: Used to be a crappy competitor, but now features a more reliable design. A powerful bar-spinner with 2-wheel drive and a self-righting "tail". He hasn't had much success in combat due to the fact his chassis tends to break, but this new version look pretty sturdy... Up next, Yin Yang: I sub-par sit-n-spin robot with multi-racial qualities. It has the potential to do damage but the blades can be damaged, due to the way they're built. La Machine Reborn: Basically a modernized version of the original wedgebot. La Machine nowadays features a front-hinged flipper to throw opponents around, and it doubles as a sri-mech. He's vulnerable to horizontal spinners, however. From Japan, Bigfoot: Another sit-n-spin robot, this one featuring interchangeable weapons. It can either be a flail or a hammer. It's got the biggest wheels in the competition, hence the name. The spinning forces of this robot used to rip the wheels off completely, axle included, but not anymore thanks to the reinforcement. But still, I'm not too sure about this one... [ Next, Hammerhead: A overhead hammer bot that won it's first ever tournament. He hasn't done much else since then, however. It's a powerful weapon, but those wheels are exposed. The hammer doubles as a srimech. And finally, Blue Moose: A Toro-style flipper, and a newcomer. He has a huge, bulky design and a flipper that can get underneath anything, thanks to those spikes on the flipper edge. He can also self-right. Place your bets on who's gonna win down below! The fights have already happened, and I'll reveal who came out on top next time along with the next heat line-up.

I can however introduce you to the bots heat by heat, and then just tell you who in that heat won. Would that work?

Thanks guys! The feedback means a lot to me. I'm starting up a new tournament today, and I'll be showing and explaining the competitors to you heat-by-heat. But for now, here's the entire cast: That's 54 robots that I laid out. Add the house robots and that's 63 in total. Here's their names, from left to right, top row to bottom row: Row 1: Dozer, Kill Bot Kun, Circuit Chipper, Skorpinoid, Vice Grip, Springer Row 2: Silver Knight, Onyx, Ramminator, Big Bad Biter, Beatle, Jester Row 3: Steampunk Reject, Junko, Shazam, Prowler, Maximus, Manslaughter Row 4: Turret Syndrome, Silver Skarab, Oscar, Iron Golem, Metal Scorpion, Son of Doris Row 5: Fallen Angel, All American Redneck, Debranator, White Privilege, Gaspy, Shadow Row 6: Technofreak, Gory Glory, Pumpjack, Futurra 9000, Chains of Death, Beta Dragonis Row 7: Poseidon, Zerschlagen, Snap Dragon, Andre, Caustic Caution: Reborn, Loooong Boi Row 8: Rhino, Police Brutality, Tornado of Terror, Triosk, Creamsicle, U.S.O Row 9: Big Foot, La Machine Reborn, Nonja, Blue Moose, Hammerhead, Yin-yang

Reptillion's drum looks OP, but awesome nonetheless. I also feel bad for the other bot, who's been completely over-shadowed by Reptillion.

Here's my last house robot, the Refbot. I made him a hybrid of the series 4 and series 5 refbot in that he has referee stripes, but also has a "counter system" (on one of his arms). The little spot on his plow is his "fire extinguisher"...located where his crotch might be. The model pictured here has been updated since, and I'll show you that in a moment. And here's what he looks like now: I know, this looks kinda ugly, but last tourney the robots kept getting tangled up, or wouldn't let go of each other or pinned an opponent down. So, I added a little thing I'd like to call "The Groping Claw". Then I added the classic Battlebots timer at the back. I think that part looks good.

these are amazing!
Thanks m8! Here's Mr.Psycho's pet pooch, Growler: And here's MY version of Cassius Chrome. The original model, which I don't have a picture of, was too impotent and followed the real Cassius Chrome's design. So, I made this version, capable of "pneumatic" punching combined with living arms that make for a powerful uppercut. He can also self-right. Notice that I gave him a Mr.T Mohawk. Or is it Clubber Lang? I don't know boxing...

« on: February 26, 2018, 06:29:40 PM »
Gonna try posting multiple house robots this time and see if this site can handle it. (It may just be my computer) Next we have Sir Killalot. This model has been flipped a hand-full of times throughout my dozens of tournaments, only because he's not heavy enough. The density of plastic makes it so that Killalot is more lightweight and flippable. Regardless, he's greatly feared since none of my lunatic spinners can damage him and only a few flippers can get him, and unlike in real life, this Sir Killalot can self-right. Next is Mr Psycho. Like Killalot, he's been flipped over before, usually toppling over. His hammer is over-sized because again, the density of lego, and I needed it to be heavy and dangerous. He's also got claws and...stuff.

Oooo very nice
Thanks! Here's Sergeant Bash. I didn't have a lot of green parts so I made him blue, to represent the Navy. Eventually I went all-out with the navy theme and designed him to look like an aircraft carrier, complete with runway lines and rear propellers.
