Hidden part? Never heard of it, I'll look it up.
Also, did you ever play Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds? It used the same game engine AoE did, so it played basically the same, and was really good fun actually.

Edit: From gamewinners.com :
"Saxon Revolt scenario
There is a hidden scenario named "The Saxon Revolt". To enable it, enter the "Goodies" folder in the game directory. Instructions for enabling it are in that folder."

Was this it?

I pretty much always used the Byzantines when I played. I just found them really good for whatever reason, iirc they get bombard towers which I always lined my base with.

Anyone else ever get the Age of Chivalry mod for AoE II? I didn't expect much but it was actually a very good mod.

it looks like it is built into the chassis
That's actually why I didn't like them, but I might actually change back to the original reskin and make all the spikes the same, so it looks like a solid block with spikes at the front.
Regardless, I reskinned them again, just to make them stand out a little more:

Remade Gula into Gula Redux.
Ditched the perspex idea, and made it a rammer rather than a wammer. Features (badly) reskinned carrot spikes:

I think this should be changed to: PSN Accounts and discussion

Anyway, who has Minecraft PS3? My friend and I have found this awesome Rome hunger games world and downloaded it, anyone fancy a game?
I have it, but I'm not gonna be on until my exams are done, I finish mid June.
I think my name on PSN is awfulninja. If anyone wants to add me, PM me here first, because I won't check for a month otherwise :P

It's all very well saying you like the chassis as it is, but if you take a look in any of the showcases of the really good builders, whether standard dsl or IRL, you will see that the chassis of their bots are only as big as they need to be  - enough to fit all of the components, with very little space going to waste. Making a big chassis for looks might be acceptable, but when your chassis is just a big rectangle shape there is no point to making it overly large. It won't look good, and the weight could be better spent elsewhere.

I don't get it. What were you trying to achieve by posting those?
Seems to me you could have just tried to improve your existing robot in the time it took to build those, and been a more respected builder because of it.
Posting these doesn't help you become a better builder, and doesn't exactly make you look like you actually want to improve or get along here.

And what do you actually mean by this:
im just gonna do it cause im a great burn it off
Does that mean you are going to try to improve your previous bot? Or were you referring to what you just built?

EDIT: You will need JoeBlo's "Narmour Be Gone" patch for this pack, you can download it here if you don't have it already.
From the Live Designs thread - hopefully the link works.

It's probably a hammerweight.

Looks really nice though.

Fairly productive night tonight.
First attempt at a transparent perspex type skin, on a really simple bot named Gula for now:

Was far more difficult than I thought it would be, especially since the skin put the top at an angle (due to the shape I guess).
Needs a border around the perspex and to line it up better with the motors, will do it eventually.
Some weird hammer thing, named Fleabitten:

Needs an HD skin.

@ powerrave - Wow, nice work there. I didn't think of using the side connectors on the burst. May give that a try eventually.

@ Natster - Thanks!

I like the colour scheme of the skin, it could probably look really nice if done in HD outside of RA2. I might even try that on one of my robots, thinking about it...
Here it is:
Front hinged flipper named Throwback, because I thought it looked like a series 2 or 3 robot wars bot:

Again, I reckon removing the wedge (whilst making it not as good in combat) would make it look cooler.
Bringing the disk forward a little (if possible) and making it slightly wider may offset this by making it easier to attack stuff :P
Skin looks alright to me, but a weapon slot would make it look nicer, and it would obviously be better done in HD.

475
Looks a little messy maybe, but I kinda like it. I reckon if the flipper didn't stick out quite so far from the chassis, and the wedges were removed,  it would look better.

Also, what are the hex-plates attached to?
Has potential, keep up the building :)

Oh yeah, I forgot those components already existed.... but I would keep it the same as you did it, it already looks awesome.

Also, I know nothing about BattleBots so feel free to ignore this suggestion, but Kritical Mass II looks like a cool robot, unless you have already done it/decided not to include it.

Those look really nice, you are doing some excellent work on these. :)

Here's Little Sister:

Seems cool, but the wheels at the top peek...
On the battlebots wiki there are two versions pictured, one without and one with wheels that peek, so you are both half correct I guess. Personally I think the peeking wheels look awesome, and it seems it was the most recent version of the bot anyway. Also I assume it would take far more work to make extra custom components so that the wheels didn't peek, so yeah.

Looks nice, as always :)

I was quite bad with wedges too for the longest amount of time. A good way to make a decent wedge is by making a 2-wheeled bot.
wheels in the back and a wedge up front that just slides on the ground.

At that point it is all on your driving skills and weapon effectiveness because you will either get under them or clash because they are just as low as you.(Image removed from quote.)
Now it by no means a sure win as I have implied. Both RA2 and reality can back that up. It is a good starting point though.
Actually Mystic was talking about wedges in RA2 specifically, where this doesn't quite apply.
In RA2 there are a few ways to make a good wedge, such as using skirt hinges, metal hinges and burst motors, all with wedge components mounted on them. A chassis wedge, as you suggested, will almost always be outwedged by one of these designs in RA2.
Welcome to the forums, by the way.

Robot with either a flipper or crusher variation.

Flipper uses a modded skirt hinge to make it front-hinged.
