^ point I was trying to make in the "direction this forum is going" thread ^
why are we not helping out ambitious people rather then just calling them 'n00bs' ? 4552

if I am not mistaken I think many AI packs use a copy and paste method (what I did for CC1)

Real Robotics Discussion / Re: Most Hated Robots« on: August 26, 2010, 05:17:58 AM »There WAS a size limit, and Tornado WAS within it. no need to caps at me I can read fine :P I understand you feel strongly about that ? (I also understand you hate razer) but it seems odd to me when a host for 5 years doesn't know the rules to the show ? I do feel that there is a plausibility to what I said due to obvious tainting the show has had before.. im not saying I am positive because it could be an easy flaw in the ruleset just giving food for thought, I love robot wars having grown up with them but there is a lot of changing and stretching due to it intentionally being TV over a sport 4556

my first team consisted of Warfare (from N00b Warz 2) and then the rest of the team filled with rookie and xtra bots XD

I dont know about the description but its constant attacking that maintains power
![]() quickly after one building is destroyed have them focus on another object straight away with little movement and they will maintain the power.. if they have to chase say an SCV the prismatic beam will "cool down" 4558
Real Robotics Discussion / Re: Most Hated Robots« on: August 26, 2010, 04:23:22 AM »What they should have done for Robot Wars is that if a bot couldn't actually fall into the pit then it was disqualified. I mean REALLY. well this comes to my point I made earlier.. Craig was under the impression they had to fit in the pit while Tornado said "they allowed that size" if you ask me.. with RW's known rigging I say they stretched the rules for it.. most likly to create more drama (its a TV show after all) otherwise the final would have been a win for razer straight away which would have been as exciting as Bigger Brother v Razer in series 5 with Bigger Brother having mass damage. 4559
Discussion / Re: A question...« on: August 26, 2010, 04:02:14 AM »
if you had to wedged robots, both pop ups and capable of 1 hit KO's moving towards each other straight on a flat plane (like the BBEANS v2 floor) the results should be identical
the AI in RA2 dont follow paths like you would find in some older racing games.. all they simply do is head for the opponent while navitagting around walls and hazards (the 'radius' tells the robot how far to say away from these) so basically anything between point A and B that isnt a arena hazard or wall is 'winged' by the AI... 4560
