So does this mean that you guys are counting 'complaining about rep' as an actual reason to downrep someone?

Lookin' at you, Frenchie.

Gonna be that guy now. Worked hard to build some respect to my rep counter with building and advice, and I'm back down to 1. Sweet.

On a different note, I feel sorry for Click. All the work he put into DSL 2.2 may only have a 5-6 month shelf if RA3 takes over completely.

I'll get in on this. Don't mind which ones I do.

That was pretty entertaining! I'd be happy to bash something together and send it over to you.

This has turned from the RA3 thread to the welcome back Madiaba thread. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it, I'm just making an observation.

Let's be fair, it's more interesting than the non-story that is RA3 at the moment.

They come in having watched Robot Wars/Battlebots and want to emulate what they've seen on TV, I expect,

For some random reason matilda never seems to use her fly wheel

It's an AI thing. CPU controlled robots never use rear weapons.

We got it. For early adopters (eg until we get a full version uploaded, which will be tomorrow now) just pushed out a patch.
Sorry about this guys, due to a few clashes.

Wow. That was quick, cheers Craaig!

We're aware of a few issues with Stinger and Steel Avenger at the moment - we'll be putting out a patch for these within a day - hopefully tonight. Bear with us!

There's a slight issue with Splinter as well.

Any specific parts you want legalised, Maz?

All the s*** I stick on at random to make my robots look awesome?  :dumb) :dumb)

That, and I used the Dominator 2 spike on mine. I believe the post originally said all were allowed with a limit of one judge, so I thought it was all fair game. But most IRL tournaments do it this way, no real reason to change what isn't broken.

sigh

it's the giraffe all over again except even more overdone

-insert 'maybe you should have entered' comment here-

EDIT: Actually, scratch that, Click couldn't beat it, nobody had a hope.

No worries, At the top of the list it says "I am forbidding..." "All cheatbot2 parts except 1 Judge burst"

Basically, you can't use any of the cheatbot2 parts, however, you are allowed one judge burst. I'll make that clearer in the OP.

Dammit.

I dunno about those front skirts, it looks like they'd just get in the way so you couldn't hit anything with the hammer.  Perhaps they should be farther apart so bots can fit in between, or replaced with a wedge(s) that can get under things.

It actually works better than you might think. The axe strikes just in front of the two skirts (which can act as a makeshift wedge at the edges, can't imagine the tournament will be too wedgy), while keeping other axes out of reach at the same time (in theory). I may try and improve it while looking at making the axe and supports cleaner like Reier said, though. It's certainly a very early idea for it.

Well, looks like we reawakened the cringe thread. And you seriously call me out for pointless bumping?

Be fair, we call you out for a whole lot more than pointless bumping.
