Also, you may use those extenders and armor packs if you wish. But if you wanted to know how to skin on some of Radioactive's nuclear symbols over some of the parts like armor plates (by skinning I mean adding a new paint job over the part you want), I have this tutorial here created by 090901 on how to component skin: https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?PHPSESSID=HYUoO-ZBgYC-r8m4GP1k03&topic=19913.msg724963#msg724963 You won't need any other programs except a photo editor like Photoshop for this and also Notepad++.

That is very nice for a replica! Minus the non-existence paint job, you've got everything that Radioactive has including the wheels pods and the important axe. Keep up the replicas and welcome to GTM!

I like the looks of your bots. But can't help to notice that the last two bots are critically under-weight for a heavyweight. The referee may be no problem because this is more of a show bot and not made for combat, the Beaky Bleeder may do with some more weaponry such as possibly using more Typhoon teeth not only for more damage, but to also use up some of the 113.5 spare KGs. If that's not for your tastes Orc, what extenders are you using? If you are using Aluminium extenders for the outer ring, you can swap them for steel or titanium extenders to increase the strength of the outer ring, allowing the ring to take more hits over using aluminium extenders for the ring. The Drive is decent if for something like a lightweight, though for heavyweight I often use Drive motors like the TWM3R just for a little more speed over the motors you're using, the motor that you are using may give a good moment of speed but they aren't ideal for Heavyweights, so try only using them for lighter weight classes like lights and beetles if you can. As for one last note, put some more batteries into Bleeder. Two battlepacks may be handy, but having more batteries when you apply the changes can allow the bot to have a longer battery life in the field.
Overall, try keeping up the arty bots but you may decide if you do want to take up this bulk of criticism. You may break it down a take little bits or take it all.

Shoot, I should of enter more Robots before the deadline after feeling a little bad for myself for not contributing that much. But knowing I have exams and not being able to build DSL-IRL that well, I had to put focus somewhere else. Still even when it's just the one bot, it will still be fun to see how this all turns out in the end. In the meantime, I'll be keeping some of my other bots for a future IRL Tournament. But have fun Demon, AIing all these bots and getting this tournament ready. Have an idea on the arena yet Demon?

sh** it was my man Pizzaguy's birthday?!?!? Happy birthday dude
Yeah. You've missed one of the best birthdays on the entire site for the best and most fabulous person to have ever set foot on GTM. But it's never too late to say Happy Birthday to Pizzaguy, the champion of Maths adventures and Ray Rice.

Look, I know you are asking for help on making your bot more IRL Herp. But shouldn't you be making a showcase topic for your bots instead of posting them on an tournament board? There's no harm in asking for help Herpderp, but like when you posted in the tournament discussion board, this isn't really the thread to post in Herp like if you make one bad post in a chat room that's on a different topic. So just listen to F1Krazy and please try and use the showcase section to post your bot and asking for help in the future. You're getting the help here but not only you can get more help from people, it stays on topic of asking for advice about your builds. Edit: Oh wait, you did make a showcase.

Battery power lets me down again *Sigh*. I should of used a battle-pack over two ants, but because at the time I didn't realize how bad ants were in 2.2, due to me reading an outdated 2.1 tutorial, I ended up using them. Still, it's too late now but I'll consider a re-build if possible.

>Sign-ups closed: Shoot. I should sent in my bot not only because of exams, but also if I wasn't so lazy enough to make a PM. I can always save my bot for later.

you guys had better say happy birthday to the best member on this site
But my birthday is in March.
You're lucky that your birthday is early in the year. Mine is in October but I still have to wait 365 days for my birthday to come. But happy birthday to the Pizzaguy anyway.

The legs on Xtremely average look very thin and flimsy. Apart from that, looks good.
Oh they are. Even angled outward it's hard to prevent quick removal by spinners. Probably gonna try to shorten them as much is functionally possible in the future.
The robots are cool, but what is BvW2?
Black vs White 2 (or whatever the kids are calling it these days). An IRLish tournament of smacktalk and tomfoolery.
Black vs White 2, do you mean Light vs Dark 2?
>he doesn't even get the obvious nickname/reference proceeds to spit out milk and roll on the floor laughing ass off I think we have a new Halitosis here. what a n00b Anyways those are some cool bots you have there JDG. As LRA2 said, you never cease to amaze me.
Move on, those are great bots jdg37! I not only like the fact that you skin the disk of Lin Fen, but I happen to like some of the character behind some of the bots. The mole for example just feels like a real mole with the paws and the black extenders, representing the black fur of a mole that make me what to fall in love like with Tor2uga that was so well made. I don't really have a lot to critique, but you're doing great.

Just call me out when you're free.
I didn't know what I was heading into. While in the chat box I boasted about my new MW, I wasn't too sure that I had to build in another weight class, thinking that we had to pick a weight class to build in and not build in three classes. but I feel I have as much practice as a newcomer to the sport, combined in with the lack of practice in building both a Stock heavy-weight and a Stock light weight.
FYI, you're only building one robot. It's cool to see somebody call RA2 a sport.
Whoops, I didn't see that typo it was meant to be a sport, but looking back over it it looks better. But even more so when I am only building one, pre-bot that I already made, I still want focus on my A level exams. But, I still give you a challenge match later when my exams are over.

I consent I'm sorry Dreamcast but if did you read my previous post on this board, I may withdraw due to upcoming exams though out this month. Sadly, I taking this up. You see, I doing my A levels and I need to focus on them so I can get to the university I want to go to. Though while I do have plenty of spare time between each exam maybe like a more than three days, I cannot be to sure if I will have the time to make a good bot or so, knowing that I never built an Stock Light-weight or finished my previous, WIP heavy-weight.
As for another reason why I'm withdrawing: I didn't know what I was heading into. While in the chat box I boasted about my new MW, I wasn't too sure that I had to build in another weight class, thinking that we had to pick a weight class to build in and not build in three classes. I could give it ago, but I feel I have as much practice as a newcomer to the sport, combined in with the lack of practice in building both a Stock heavy-weight and a Stock light weight.
Just call me a quitter if you wish. But just let someone like 09 take my place or carry on without me. I give you a challenge match once I'm done with my exams.

I was right about the pony bot being built by Apenx! But moving on, I was not expecting both Neon and the Orc corp to be in this BOTM to be honest. I didn't even have a clue about number 2 even when I was critiquing it, but it's good first BOTM entry from the Orc, better than mine if you ask. As for the later user or number 6, I honestly thought that someone like TGM made this one, due to the poor editing of the splash like the poor cropping around the bot. But since he doesn't build in Ironforge, I didn't know.
But congratulations 09 on your BOTM victory.

I had the same problem as you some time ago. But you should listen to Thyrus and play in windowed mode when you want to take screenshots of your bots. Don't worry when taking screenshots in windowed mode, hitting F11 for a screenshot should only take the game screen and not anything else unless you happen to hit Print-screen by mistake.

yes Fixed.
Can't do it Dreamcast, I've got final exams Monday.
Yeah, I might change my mind later Dreamcast and withdraw at any time. My first exam is next Friday, but it depends if I can fit some time in to make a bot or something.

Why I hate Chomp: 1. The captain of the team is a woman
I'm not a misogynist 1v1 me, edgyboy.
Stock v1.4 LW, MW & HW, best of three No robots upload to the Robot Exchange as of June 2nd, 2017 No AMM, BFE, unusual AI tricks, RA2CF, Hax Mode, ect Controlled movement required Multibots allowed Each user must build three different kinds of robots (they may each use the same, or not, who cares?) I'll fight anybody else if Fighting Bot doesn't like to play RA2.
As I was say in the chat box. I'll take up the challenge if Bot doesn't accept the challenge. Besides, it'll be my first challenge match just to take a breather from my upcoming Exams.

Still keeping up the lovely looking bots Ty4er. Do you happen to know about how it weighs, what Armour type you are using and the power of the drive motors if you have a chance? I'm not asking this to annoy you, I'm only asking out of pure curiosity if you mind?
no worries man, its a hw extenderbot without a chassis, could only get twmr drive without it looking ass sadly
No problem Ty4er. As long as you have some drive power into the bot, the bot should be able to act fast enough to us it's flipper when it receives an AI code at some point. Still, love the work so far. I would point out the obvious by saying that if it doesn't work when ramming, rebuild the bot to fit NPC Drive motors. But knowing how much time you put into your bots, it's not worth the hassle

Seeing that most people had gone with the Stock option, time to make my verdicts: 1. Good frontal protection, good drive and good Weapons. It would be perfect if it sacrificed the pink batteries for more weaponry or the Builder tried to fit in a SuperVolt or two. 2. Underweight, Chassis is too large and lacks weaponry like needing more razors. This is the type of bot you'll find on Banter Wars more than anything else. But otherwise, the skin paint job is the best part of this bot. 3. I think Apex might have a say in this for being a pony bot, or maybe someone like Playzooki for being a crawler. But despite this, it's a good crawler despite looking like it'll spin out of control from the fifth disc. Or maybe not? 4. Underweight Robots are starting to become a theme to this BOTM. While having good weapons and drive, the fact of this bot being underweight is just too hard to ignore. Edit: Ignore the Underweight part, since I ended up forgetting that IronForge weight classes are half of the normal weight class. Edit again: In fact this is a Ironforge SHW instead of an Ironforge HW. 5. You can't be too overloaded with that much weaponry. But I'm afraid that it could sacrifice some Weapons for more battery power like two, stacked Supervolts over the 6V. 6. While the bot may look nice to some, but I'm sorry the splash may need a little TLC. The cropping could of been better if the creator zoomed into the spots when the grey background of the bot lab shows up and crop there, instead of deciding to cropping onto some of the important parts of the bot and the black areas of the bombs. Even if this happen by an accident, it's best to try again from the copy of the image, then crop.
