I like the extender work on the flipper arm. The front and LEDs however make me want to call it The cockeyed hyena. What armor does it have?

A cool idea would be to make it so people would have to make a hybrid between to random bot types, then you would have to be creative with some of the combos.
That's pretty nifty.
Ye it is, but doesn't really work in IRL. Would be a great idea for a DSL-S tournament
What if this evolves into a HW DSL-S Chimera matchup, where each entrant is given 2-3 random weapon systems to combine and submit? Not gonna lie that would be way beyond my AIing level.

To play off the complaints of generic bot types, as well as the mention of potluck:
What if the irl elements are watered down, and the price of admission is submitting a design idea challenge privately to me (as host or whoever). These would then be randomly and privately redistributed.

What Cheatbot2 components would be allowed if any? The Vlad Burst and Overkill servo are ones I'd particularly like to see.
Well I've never really used any cheatbot2 parts besides a flatmotor so I'm open to any suggestions. The main aspect of this is looking cool anyway.

Good idea.. i prefer HW though
CW was just thrown out there since Gulden is running IRL HW, Demon has MW, and Badger has LW.

DSL 2.2 IRL HW anyone?
and if you want to make it a three way? (not being sexy)
Make it a 4-way rumble and I will be a happy :3
Sure! The more the merrier!
So now we need a host for this 4-way IRL HW cluster

So I made a thing. The batteries, receiver, and weapon motor are all inside the big drum. It's a HW. Here are internals. It can even self-right if it doesn't have the front wedge protectors on.

Name TBA Design Challenge Tournament
DSL 2.2, Cruiserweight, IRL
Ring arena. May try to lightly reskin, who knows.
4 heats of 4 bots each. Round robin matches with 3 points awarded for ko, 2 for decision win, 1 for decision loss, 0 for getting ko'd or oota. Winners of each heat then meet in the final, setup in the same style as the heats.
16 slots, one slot per person. Each of the 16 bots will be based on one of the 16 bot types listed in the RioBotz Combot guide, so: • Rammer • Wedge • Lifter • Flipper/Launcher • Thwackbot • Overhead Thwackbot • Spearbot • Horizontal Spinner (they include ring, shell, and FBS here) • Vertical Spinners • Sawbot • Drumbot • Hammerbot • Clamper (control) • Crushers • Flamethrowers • Multibots
These could either be assigned at random or be challenges (i.e. one of the entrants is selected at random, they then select another entrant to challenge to build in that style. That builder then selects another person to challenge, and so on until all have been assigned a style.)
Since some of these build styles don’t work great on their own (wedge, etc) or are vague on weaponry (multis), these would just stand as design styles to emulate. So a Wedgebot could have a flipper built in, but a wedge must be present.
Alternately, some classes like HS could be expanded to replace the weaker categories. So Shell spinner could replace flamethrower, etc.
I thought of this as a way to be forced to try something new design wise.

Seeing as Mass Accelerator is a very popular challenge for guys, and if it's ok with Rob I have a new upgraded version if anyone wants to fight it in an exhibition.
Eh, I'll fight it. Either my crap version for this tourney or its upgrade that's in Badnik's.

Went to upgrade BBS's drive, ended up w/ a SHW version.
(Image removed from quote.)
Tornado Mer Gearboxes for drive, cause why the hell not. Steel plating all around. 1150ish lbs.
On a scale of 1 to Series 3 Stinger, how wildly uncontrollable is that bot now
Because I have a feeling it's somewhere near "Series 3 Stinger"
Surprisingly manageable. Haven't let ai take the controls yet (that's probably where it will go to hell), but so far the cobra wheels have kept it going.

2nd try making this MW extender drum, 2nd time ending up with a (underweight) cruiser (550kg even w/ a steel back plate). Oh well, will chop the width down to 2 medium drums later and see if that helps. Drive is 2x TWMRs, and a flatmotor for the drums (since it was meant to be a 2nd entry for Demon's tourney). Oh well, right side drive intersects flatmotor anyway. Junkyard.

I'm digging Crumb's scuttley little crab look. Really looking forward to Bitibots.
I tested Tortoise this morning and it performed really well even with my poor driving.

Made a boxer for Rob. KickPuncher. HW. His kicks have the power of punches, and his punches have the power of bears.
