Hoping for a Poseidon win
OOOHHH so close! He made it all the way to the finals, and what an epic journey it was. Earlier on, in the main tournament, we saw abysmal performances by Poseidon in both his heat and the wild cards. This one was different. He destroyed Big Bad Biter and Iron Golem in his path to victory. He even tore off one of Mr.Psycho's treads! In the final, he faced Debranator, and although he lost, it was THE most intense heat final I've seen in a long time. The first half consisted of Poseidon ducking and dodging Debranator's launcher, getting in some hits but losing on aggression. At first he tore out one of Debra's flipping "fangs", but after that nothing serious. At one point Debranator launched Poseidon nearly oota, but he was stopped by an impact into Cassius Chrome's face. Then came the final 30 seconds, where he finally did more damage, tearing of Debranator's spoiler and a top armor plate. Final 7 seconds, Debranator launches Poseidon into the path of Mr.Psycho's hammer upside-down. Psycho takes revenge on Poseidon and hammers the vulnerable under belly, killing him. Last 3 seconds, and Debranator launches the dead Poseidon oota, in an epic conclusion to a great match. Usually, I get pissed when flippers beat spinners, but this was a great fight, and Debranator earned that win. Final heat, and this time there's 9 robots in it. So, let's get going! First up, U.S.O This bot is so powerful, when I accidentally bumped it with my finger when it was spinning at full speed, my finger started BLEEDING. IT was a tiny mark, but remember, these bastards are made out of plastic, PLASTIC! Anyway, this spinner could be a potential champ, as even the strongest of flipper quake in fear of this mighty machine. https://imgur.com/Y6N4ndTNext up, Steampunk Reject: A well built crusher, probably one of the most well made bots here. Mostly made up of Technic parts that are all joined together, this bot is truly a marvel of lego engineering. Also has some fancy srimech arms that can right him from all directions. https://i.imgur.com/zM8ZV0Y.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/vmsLL4g.jpgUp next, Silver Scarab: Eh, it's a horizonal crusher. Eh, it's got a srimech. Eh, it's probably gonna lose. Eh. https://i.imgur.com/KVluKMC.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/kF7VKt8.jpgNext up, Turret Syndrome: ****! PISS! Get it? It's everyone's incorrect interpretation of Tourettes Syndrome! Anyway, this bot's hammer seems vicious, but it also flies off rather easily. https://i.imgur.com/3Grj2Vh.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/ZsSpWRk.jpgUp next, Technofreak: Sleek, beautiful design here. Made it to the semi-finals of the main tournament. Let's see if he can do it again, or even better. https://i.imgur.com/wRwmHyY.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/dMqqKgd.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/Lg2EIHo.jpgNext up, Son of Doris: A good, tough, crusher-bot. Lots of experience and evolved design for this bot. Let's see how he does. https://i.imgur.com/HIpSpLF.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/43SX25Y.jpgUp next, Rhino: Pretty easy to see why this bot is called Rhino. It's a durable design, one that I tried to recreate in RA2. I failed miserably at the weapon. https://i.imgur.com/ZvO6y2f.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/vSxnra7.jpgNext up, White Privelige: A durable looking design, this crusher has the same claw design as Skorpinoid. Less experience and refinement though. https://i.imgur.com/PQJZjJz.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/cUV2FHW.jpgAnd finally, LOOONG Boi: So longg. The longest flipper I've ever built. Not sure how durable this bot is, but if it gets under you, prepare to become airborne. https://imgur.com/vFVUu5xhttps://imgur.com/2VreG1pSo, who's winning this beast of a heat? Who are you rooting for? Leave your comments down below!

i'll root for Silver Knight cause it looks like a cross from the RW Iron Man and Obwalden Overlord
also you're tempting me to make my own lego bots comp and post it on GTM, should i ?
Go for it dude, I'll check it out! As for Silver Knight, believe it or not he made it to the FINAL 3. However, the overall winner is...ONYX! It was between him and Oscar, and Onyx's signature grappling abilities made it easy for him to send Oscar over to Mr.Psycho's hammer. Despite getting hit FIVE TIMES Oscar still was in one piece and moved fine afterwards. However, the hammering swayed my judge decision in favor of the crappy crusher Onyx. On to the next heat! First up, Iron Golem: This depressed looking hammer bot isn't too durable but it's got a deadly looking hammer. Gotta love the little red eyes on it. https://i.imgur.com/1IjvxrF.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/uHENYHL.jpgNext up, Beta Dragonis: The runner-up of the main tournament, Beta Dragonis is almost unbeatable...except for the fact he get's trashed by spinners pretty quickly. https://i.imgur.com/Lsu3B3n.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/Pr7oJaN.jpgUp next, Big Bad Biter: This scary looking crusher doesn't open up that wide, but it bites down HARD. Hasn't had much success though. https://i.imgur.com/yyw1yYa.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/pKwDM0R.jpgNext up, Dozer: Barely seen anything from this newcomer, it's got a good 4 wheel drive system but it's back end falls off easily. The forks also struggle to get underneath anything. https://i.imgur.com/BOT5irx.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/qmiEqV6.jpgUp next, Debranator: This powerful 4-bar launcher is the Ziggy of this tournament. Made it to the grand final but got screwed over and thrown oota by Beta Dragonis. Well she get her revenge? https://i.imgur.com/bjW5XFr.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/y3YxLsN.jpgAnd finally, Poseidon: A good bot back in the day, a few years ago, but now he doesn't have that much to offer. Still can't help but root for the spinner though. https://i.imgur.com/iKXN4AZ.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/jPbOqXl.jpgWho's gonna win? Leave your guesses down below!

I quite like La Machine Reborn
Unfortunately, he didn't make it very far. The winner...was PUMPJACK! It was a bit of a weird heat, mainly because it featured one of the most vicious house bot attacks in the history of Bot Wars! It was during the 5 bot melee. The house robots present were Sergeant Bash and Dead Metal. The moment the match started, the 5 robots attacked the house robots. Sergeant Bash had several plates broken off, and was flipped a bunch of times. Dead Metal got it the worst though. Not only did his entire left side get smashed off, but he was even thrown OUT THE ARENA. It was a humiliating day for the house robots. Oh, and the runner-up was Shazam. I don't remember much about how the fight went, but it wasn't as notable as the house bot attack. Now then, on to the next heat! First up, Prowler: This majestic machine has an articulated chassis and saw blade on an arm. However, aside from good looks, it has no substance. We can all pray this bot does well, but it's just a waste of time. At least we have a beautiful machine in the arena. https://i.imgur.com/fMXcv4I.jpgNext up, Onyx: Named after the programming language, Onyx isn't a good crushed but is quite capable of grappling with opponents. That's how it made it to the heat final. https://i.imgur.com/0y4KLsv.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/EXKU1Ix.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/wCE9o6U.jpgUp next, Gory Glory: My own personal entry to the tournament, Gory Glory is an unsuccessful full body spinner that usually throws itself out the arena. If it manages to stay in the arena though, carnage tends to ensue. https://i.imgur.com/9dPh3PL.jpgNext up, Oscar: A cheaply built machine with a performance record that doesn't really match. It's able to tango with the big boys thanks to that rear lifter that gets under everything. It's not that durable though... https://i.imgur.com/iGqmIbO.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/j0fmqLd.jpgUp next, Beatle: This bot originated from my cousin. It's design has finally evolved to a point where the weapon is actually effective. Made it to the semi-finals in the main tournament but was out-classed by the flippers. https://i.imgur.com/tKcBoMI.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/jIqUYqC.jpgAnd finally, Silver Knight: This awesome "walker bot" is actually capable of defending itself against aggressive wheeled robots. It's got a low ground clearance too, but can never score well on aggression or damage. https://i.imgur.com/iDoMsoF.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/GIu7LC7.jpgWho's gonna win? Well, you know the drill.

I'm going with Futerra 9000 but I've always liked the design of Springy
Aaand...2 for 2, you're right again my dude! It was a rather interesting heat, with Springer getting torn to pieces by Nonja and Ramminator one-hit KO'ing Vice Grip with a stab right through the innards (I million in one shot if you ask me) and of course, the final between Futerra and Ramminator. Ramminator was clearly out-matched, which is probably why he threw HIMSELF out the arena, using Futerra's flipper as a ramp. Lawlz. Anyway, onto the next round! First up, La Machine Reborn: This bot hasn't had much of a chance to show of it's ancient fighting style, which the original La Machine used back in the late 90s. Can it do it this heat? https://imgur.com/0kfx541https://imgur.com/udrwGFzNext up, Caustic Caution Reborn: What's next? Battlebots Reborn? Anyway, Caustic Caution is an average flipper who consistently performed well back about a couple years ago. It's back bigger and better now. I even gave him a roll-over chassis. https://i.imgur.com/DLp3arB.jpgUp next, Chain of Death: This bot...isn't really good. It's capable of some impressive RPMs but it can't really do damage. Still a nice looking design. https://i.imgur.com/OpEMWHm.jpgNext up, Pumpjack: Considered to be the Beta of this tournament, this double cone hammer has a sturdy design and a decent success rate. https://i.imgur.com/h8bAkQN.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/5ULKaJm.jpgUp next, Shazam: A promising looking flipper, now with 4 wheel drive and an anti spinner bar at the back. There's no spinners in this heat however. I remember back when he had that un-needed sri-mech. https://i.imgur.com/P58AiFx.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/JWcAne7.jpgAnd finally, HammerHead: A powerful hammer bot, often considered the FrenZy of this tournament. It's a tad bit outdated though... https://imgur.com/16mANY8https://imgur.com/fliBUBiWho do you think is gonna win? Leave your guess down below!

I still like blue moose
Aaaaand YOU'D BE CORRECT! IT was a battle between newcomers in the final, with Blue Moose taking on Police Brutality, who had lucked his way through the heat. It all ended the moment Blue Moose launched him out the arena. Now then, onto the next round! First up, Nonja: Here's a much improved competitor who fought Blue Moose TWICE: First he lost, then he won. This lethal spinner made it through heat one this tournament, but showed a weakness to flippers in the semi-finals. https://i.imgur.com/YsnGzbw.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/tTH10Km.jpgNext up, Vice Grip: One of the coolest designs we have here, this bot has the capacity to do SOME damage, depending on the opponent. Usually though, this bot ends up being the one damaged. https://i.imgur.com/tYCuX29.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/IZ3mhVz.jpgUp next, Springer: This bot is a one-of-a-kind spring-loaded flipper, hence the name. It was recently discovered to not need it's sri-mech, since the flipper itself can in fact self-right Springer. Just comes to show that these redesigns only get tested in the competition. https://i.imgur.com/3L51URv.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/GvH27mf.jpgNext up, Yin-Yang I bi-racial robot-er, I mean, a black and white robot that was a pain in the ass to design, mostly due to the fact one half is one color only, and the other half has to be another. Easier said than done. This bot doesn't do much, other than a SNS attack, but it's nice to look at. https://imgur.com/TDEdeqGUp next, Ramminator: This tough ramming spike got humiliated in the heats, losing to a walker of all things. He's back now and he's pissed. https://i.imgur.com/HOGTLQY.jpgAnd finally, Futerra 9000: Also known as the bot that's the arch-nemesis to Beta Dragonis. This bot may look sturdy and reliable, and he generally is, however, he CAN be broken. https://i.imgur.com/iMAAX7B.jpgWho's gonna win? Leave your guesses down below!

And, so we have our winners: For the Russian qualifier, the winner, once again, is ANDRE! Despite being dominated the first half, Andre managed to exploit a SEVERE design flaw on Triosk: It can get stranded on it's side. With this in mind, Andre prevailed once again and become the Russian representative for the second time now. And as for the Japanese qualifier, the winner is...MANSLAUGHTER! It was in the finals, between him and Fallen Angel. Both bots drove quick and smart, but in the end, it was MANSLAUGHTER who made it through to the World Championships, via an OOTA flip on Fallen Angel. Now, it's time for the first of the American Qualifiers, let's start up with heat 1: First up, All American Redneck: This bot usually is the competitor I chose to represent America in the world championships, but now it's up for debate to see who is TRULY worthy of representing good ol' MURICA! https://i.imgur.com/3rtP5LC.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/EHo9x30.jpgUp next, Police Brutality: I like the look of this robot, but that's about it. Haven't seen much from it since it's a new competitor. Looks maneuverable and agile, but I'm not sure about the durability if the weapon. https://imgur.com/NsTK8IPhttps://imgur.com/eVfJofWNext up, Blue Moose: A very promising newcomer to this series, he mad it to the heat finals in both his debut heat and one of the Wildcard Heats. Can he go all the way this time? https://i.imgur.com/BnZhrX3.jpgUp next, Maximus: Known know for the vicious ass-beating it took from MANslaughter in the heats. Lets see if he can manage to not fall apart this heat. https://i.imgur.com/WABq2PH.jpgNext up, Skorpinoid: This bot lately has been doing rather well lately, losing it's main tournament heat to the future champ Kill Bot Kun. Can he once again pull through? https://i.imgur.com/zPL1WPm.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/xDZspPV.jpgAnd finally, Metal Scorpion: Another Scorpion, and also a heat finalist. He and Skorpinoid even met up in the same wild card! And now they're in the same heat again! https://i.imgur.com/ExnCQEM.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/n0QHxfR.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/1K5fmy5.jpgSo, who's gonna win this qualifier bout? Leave your guess down below!

Alright, we'll be having 3 different qualifiers for the World Championship. The first two, the russian and japanese, will be featured today. Here's the Russian Qualifier: First up, Andre: https://imgur.com/FzmlwaHLooks deadly, but don't be deceived. This underweight entry doesn't have much to offer. However, the last time we had a world chapionship and these two russians duked it out, Andre WON that match. Could the same possibly happen again? And his opponent, Triosk: https://imgur.com/DduMl5kI'd put what little money I do have on this robot, simply due to refined design and experience. However, you never know what will happen in the arena... And here's the Japanese Qualifier: First up, Big Foot: Another sub-par robot, nothing impressive here. The wheels are the largest in competition, hence the name. The interchangeable weapons are a nice touch, but this bot isn't durable at all. https://imgur.com/7rlcIrBUp next, Fallen Angel: https://i.imgur.com/G2mNGnj.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/wQmKzNp.jpgThis bot's pretty tough. Good weapon, good armor, only real problem is that the wheels are exposed. Up next, Gaspy: https://i.imgur.com/tCrwjA8.jpgLOOK AT THE GOOGLY EYES! This bot has become quite popular due to the iconic eyes. That flipper shouldn't be underestimated though. This bot also suffers from exposed wheels. Next up, MANslaughter: https://i.imgur.com/KSIrtes.jpgThis bot won a world championship before, being the apex design in his debut series. Can he do it again? We shall see. And finally, the new main series champion, Kill Bot Kun. https://i.imgur.com/PG0NYTK.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/uyCaJUZ.jpgCan you believe it? Still hard to process that this un-noteworthy bot fought it's way into the championship, defeating the bot we all THOUGHT was going to win! This miraculous competitor is the biggest surprise in this tournament so far. Who's gonna win the Russian Qualifier? Who's gonna win the Japanese Qualifier? Leave a comment down below!

Qualifiers first then split it up with other events, if that makes sense
Usually when I do things like "Bot Wars: Extreme" I tend not to mix together fights from different tournaments. I prefer to go one tournament at a time. With that said, would you prefer having the world championships qualifiers?
432
« on: March 20, 2018, 09:09:57 PM »
And our champion, by surprise, is.... KILL BOT KUN! In the finals against Beta Dragonis, the two bots exchanged flips, some nearly going out the arena. Eventually, it happened. Kill Bot Kun got in on the side of Beta Dragonis and flipped him out of the arena, thus winning the championship! https://imgur.com/EUggw0GCongratulations Kill Bot Kun! Here's the coveted Tiny Nut trophy of Bot Wars, to symbolize your status as the champion of the main Bot Wars Tournament. But the tournament isn't over yet. We've got some side events to do, such as the war of the weapons, US and World Championship, the rumbles, All Stars, Grudge Matches, and at the very end of it all, the house robot rebellion! Which should I go with first? War of the weapons, which is where we segregate robots by weapon type and have them fight until there's only one of each left? And then pit them together in order to see who has the best weapon? OR Do we start the qualifiers for the World Championship, which include the US championship, The Japanese mini-tourney, and the Russian qualifier?

Ok, I guess I was asking too much of you guys. Here's the winners of both parts of the semi-finals: For Semi-Finals 1 the winners are: And the Semi-Finals 2 winners are: And with that we have our finalists. One of these bots is going to become the champion of the main Bot Wars Tournament. Who do YOU think is gonna win it all?

Wait, so it that a 180 burst motor?
You can BFE a burst to swing as far as you want, although it starts getting pretty shaky after 2.9 radians (~166 degrees).
Oh yeah, I remember hearing about that.

And the winner was...FUTERRA 9000! It was a quick match between him and Shadow. After some flips and maneuvers Futerra got under Shadow's side and launched him out the arena. Speaking of arena, this is what it looks like: https://i.imgur.com/qqXFkzs.jpgNow then, on to the semi finals! First here's round one, where 3 bots will proceed through to the grand final. First up, winner of Wild Card 2, Blue Moose: The Toro of this tourney has made it through to the heat finals in both heats he's ever competed in. And he's just a newcomer! Only the strongest of spinners can match up to this impressive machine. https://i.imgur.com/BnZhrX3.jpgNext up, winner of Heat 8, Beatle: Tough machine that has improved massively this series. It's forks can lift a lot without the rear end lifting up like it used to. Reduced to a 2 wheel drive from last tournament, and may I mention that this bot was originally made by my cousin... https://i.imgur.com/tKcBoMI.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/jIqUYqC.jpgUp next, winner of Heat 2, Tornado of Terror: This rookie stunned us all with a powerful resolve to win, and an equally powerful flipper. https://i.imgur.com/ieeqXjd.jpgFrom Germany, winner of Heat 3, Zerschlagen: You could consider this bot to be rather luck, it made it through numerous play-offs and near losses before finally getting that lucky shot on Snap Dragon in the final. However, with 4 different flippers in this heat, he probably doesn't stand a chance, unfortunately. https://i.imgur.com/vSWSg0I.jpgFrom Japan, winner of Heat 9, Kill-Bot-Kun Stereotypical japanese sounding name sporting a chassis passed down from a now retired fellow japanese competitor. In addition to it's cat ears, it also has a formidable flipper that helped it dominate a fair few battles this tournament. I also accidentally forgot to post this bot's pics during it's original heat I better fix that up real quick. https://i.imgur.com/PG0NYTK.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/uyCaJUZ.jpgAnd finally, winner of Wild Card 3, Futerra 9000: Looking for revenge after a loss to Beta Dragonis in the 4th heat final. He's fought his way back up through the wild-cards and is still a contender for the championship. https://i.imgur.com/iMAAX7B.jpgWhich 3 bots from this heat do you think will succeed? Comment down below! Then there's round 2, featuring the rest of the semi-finalists First up, winner of Heat 4, Beta Dragonis: Speaking of Beta Dragonis, here he is! He looks confident and I don't blame him. He's one of the few competitors to have flipped Sir Killalot. His only real weakness is horizontal spinners. https://i.imgur.com/Lsu3B3n.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/Pr7oJaN.jpgUp next, winner of Heat 1, Nonja: Speaking of which, here's one now! A massively upgraded weapon helped this bot eke out a win, but will it go any further with all these flippers about? Usually I'd say no, but we saw him both lose to but later defeat Blue Moose. You never know, in this arena... https://i.imgur.com/YsnGzbw.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/tTH10Km.jpgNext up, winner of Heat 6, Son of Doris: This experienced veteran of Bot Wars made it through a rather bland and boring heat, but it ended it a good final. That crushing beak is double-jointed and capable of tearing wheels off easily. He's also got that self-righting tail and a low ground clearance. I'm not sure if that'll help him, because there's 4 flippers in THIS semi final round too! That's right, there's 8 flippers in the semi finals right now. It's like roaming robots or something! https://i.imgur.com/HIpSpLF.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/43SX25Y.jpgFrom Japan, the winner of Heat 7, MANslaughter: This robot is absolutely BRUTAL. He's won both a regular championship and a world championship, and is recognized as the best Japanese competitor in Bot Wars history! However, in his second tournament he got a redesign that ruined his effectiveness. Has that been reversed with this current version? Seems to be working, as he went unopposed in his heat. I still remember when he broke apart Maximus's chassis, just by throwing him at the arena back wall 4 times in a row. https://i.imgur.com/KSIrtes.jpgThe winner of Wild Card 1, Technofreak: Brought back because of his cool design, and won his wild card heat because of, well, his cool design! His giant knife blade strikes very fast and the flipper is relatively decent. Mostly average. He's also gonna be matched up against Beta Dragonis, the bot who won the heat Technofreak lost. I don't remember if they fought eachother in that heat though...hm... https://i.imgur.com/wRwmHyY.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/dMqqKgd.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/Lg2EIHo.jpgAnd finally, winner of Heat 4, Debranator: If you want to see a robot dominate a fight, watch Manslaughter. If you want to see a bot win a fight in just a few seconds, look no further than here. Debranator is using her 4-bar flipper again in this tournament after numerous losses with a spinner in the last 2 tournaments. I'd really like to see her fight MANslaughter... https://i.imgur.com/bjW5XFr.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/y3YxLsN.jpgWhich 3 bots do you think won THIS half of the semi-finals? The 2 groups of 3 will be fighting in the traditional Bot Wars style 6-bot format in the grand final. Place your bets! Which 3 do you think will win part 1, and which 3 will win part 2? Leave a comment below!

Going out on limb with Blue Moose
Aaaand...YOU'D BE CORRECT! It was between him and swede machine Junko. Junko's weapon wasn't powerful enough to damage Blue Moose's armor, so it was only a matter of time before he got thrown out the arena. He actually ended up skewered on one of the arena poles that poke upwards, at the arena walls. Time for the final wild-card: First up, Springer: This bot's unique design is probably why it got here. There's not really much else to say about it. https://i.imgur.com/3L51URv.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/GvH27mf.jpgNext up, Rhino: This beautiful axe-bot has a tough design and a good looking weapon, but can it cause damage? I forget, honestly. https://i.imgur.com/ZvO6y2f.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/vSxnra7.jpgUp next, Futerra 9000: This bot is a tough competitor. Won the war of the weapons competition last tournament, and only lost out to a very good competitor by the name of Beta Dragonis. However, he's not the only high-quality flipper here... https://i.imgur.com/iMAAX7B.jpgFrom South Africa, Shadow: ...like this one! This bot is such a dark horse it's rather impressive. Dark design, underrated weapon, and great durability. However, it's over-powered flipper tends to flip himself over, sometimes regardless of whether or not a competitor was on top of it. That COULD be a weakness. https://i.imgur.com/GIw9pIr.jpgFrom China, Snap Dragon: This bot's a little salty about it's unfortunate loss to the German bot Zerschlagen, which it lost via a lucky shot to the rear. A tough China-bot with a decent, but frail, hammer. I say frail because this bot has a tendency of swinging so hard that the hammer flies out of it's socket. I'm not sure how he'll do against the 3 flippers in this heat. https://i.imgur.com/Wp3uCcI.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/uD91avj.jpgAnd finally, Vice Grip: Given a Wild Card due to his good looks. Under the right circumstances, this bot can deal some damage. It's durability though...uh...no. Just no.
