On the components.txt, which parameter on the spikes is the damage causing thingy I never really bothered to tweak the game's files on a serious level. So I'm not sure. 1. Lack of customization You can customize your parts/arenas/robots a lot easier then you can, in RA2 2. Variety of enemies RA1 lacks Pop-ups, and saw blades are actually a thing. 3. Every time you came into contact with another bot, everything stops. Because the Opponent is constantly moving in your same direction, and you can't drive out of it 4. Bots EXPLODE after you kill them Explosions are cooler 5. Lack of parts RA1 has radar jammers, giant speakers, skull decorations, etc 6. Lack of part positioning 7. Chassis look really weird Why is that a bad thing? Different chassis lead to unusual designs, and further increasing the originality 8. Bots cannot leave the ground This is only due to the fact the forklift was never fully completed, so it's not a valid complaint, as both RA1 and RA2 fell short on budgets
6 is your only valid argument. And Andrew is right. Yes, RA1 is cheesy, but it's a good kind of cheesy. (And apparently one that I like to play around with)

I'm iffy on the 'Anything RA2' part.... Might enter, if I remember to make something.

Switchblade is in the same folder with everything else, labeled 'switchblade'. Also, when your done with this, mind if I see the final result?

This is why its a good idea to have RA1 in a separate folder(like on your Desktop or something), so you can always find it and keep track of it. Your 'Custom' folder in RA1 holds all your custom textures n' junk. Then while in RA1's botlab, just click the part you want to modify in the part list below, click 'Info', then click the 'Customize' button in the lower left corner of that pop-up menu. From there, just click one of the existing skins in the upper part of the menu, then click the skin you want to replace it with in the lower part of the menu, and click 'Apply'.
But as far as skins for robots go... It's best to look in Models -> Bots -> Maps and pick an existing .bmp file to work with, edit it, and save it with a different name in the 'Custom' folder I mentioned earlier. Said skin is only going to look appropriate on a bot with the same chassis layout.
Also, it's funny... I tried looking for a more in-depth guide too this off Google, and only this thread seems to pop up. I lol'd Anyway, I might make a video later, to better explain this.

how do you do skin mods? id love to give it a try
All it is is just editing .bmp files, really... Hell, you can do a lot of this with just Ms.Paint.

Some of those textures look like they came directly from RA1. That, or you drew inspiration from that game.
Either way, I like it.

DN has~ Rated duels, for if you want to get EXP n' junk Unrated, which is the same Advanced Format as Rated, but it's on a less serious level. Traditional, which is where every banned card is@1. This one is also unrated. Unlimited. Every card is @3. This one is more of an experimental section since it lets people play with past formats(assuming you built your deck on that level). Other then that, if your facing people at random, expect a lot of half-assed FTK.dek. Again, this one is also unrated.

@Kill: Unless its on even grounds, since if both players are using Chaos Emperor, then both of them will expect it. But if only 1 person is using him, then the other will be annoyed to no end about it. Also, apparently I'm playing this now: Deck is hilarious I picked up one of my old Yugioh games today. The AI's a bit silly about Partician of Darkness; they'll attack as if they don't know its effect, I just have them march their entire team into suicide.
Which game is this?

Rob, have I ever told you that I love your bot designs?

Type Zero Magic Crusher is situational, and a waste of resources. It's not banworthy at all. And most of the cards on the list are there for specific reasons.
Also Will was banned because of Cat Format. Hell, even if it came off the list today, it would still be nuts.

So lately I've been goofing around at this instant-spawn Trade Server, as a Spy. Way I see it, Spy is a total mind-game oriented class.
Either way, I always end up having to bust us out of our spawn if the rest of My team lets Engineers build an entire blockade at our door >___>
