After viewing posts from Starcore and Clickbeetle on the matter (admittedly from many years ago) it may be impossible. Just go to search, then input "repair time" to see the posts I was on about.

It strikes me that most userpages haven't had rr/fr updates in a long while. Does anyone want to team up and update them (Say one of us would change them and the other would judge it etc)

anything to get the best looking bot? Excuse me while I use WBC components to make a WBC rep, which is entirely unrealistic, uses hax mode and has a nifty.

Okay, make sure you have read that thread I posted, and make sure your first post has all the relevant information it requires. You will need to learn how to AI or find someone willing to do it for you (unlikely) if this is a tournament where you will actually have the robots battle each other independently from you and film it (go to any Brackets and Vids thread to see what I mean) If you need a good example of a first post in a discussion thread to see if you have everything, CombatAnts 3 ( https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php/topic,13117.0.html) is a good example, but BBEANS is the recognized standard, if you can find those threads... Please, drop me a PM if you need a hand. Also just remember everyone else, the guy is new, don't rip into him ;p EDIT: Okay, even if this is a voting contest (where people just vote for their favourite - to clarify), you still need to set out parameters like weightclass and glitches allowed. Remember, voting contests do not have match videos.

Friendly words from me.. 1) Can you AI? 2) Can you film your matches?

I look forward to seeing how this project develops. Do you plan do rebuild the AI? If so, to current standards or just as they were, but utilizing the new points, and possibly adding 3 extra's on each team.

Yes, and it's not hard to make one either, especially if you change the weight of a ballast from xxkg to -100kg or whatever. But yeah all these custom components aren't exactly legal in tournaments or appreciated in showcases*, just to let you know.
*unless it's a custom component showcase
Even in custom showcases, a random bot covered in custom components haphazardly won't be well received.

I'm also busy with a few other projects ATM and nobody has taken me up on my offer to co-work on them (it doesn't matter how much modding experience you have because I would be more than willing to teach you).
What are these projects? I may have missed them at some point, but I feel pretty good/ready for helping out with something despite my very lacking knowledge.

I think, basically, it's fair to say the only stuff we can fully mod right now are the folders you see in the RA2 directory.

Might be possible to get rid of the timer on screen but that itself is useless.. and I'm pretty sure getting rid of the countdown would also be a source code thing. Besides, robots that just sit in one place are either boring or dead anyway ;p

That is indeed a source code thing, and there's about 0% chance of us getting that - they probably lost it over the years that we kept asking.
