Really guys? No response for 5 days? Well, I guess I shouldn't be too mad. I mean, it's not like it's you guys' job to respond. Still hurts though. Anyway, the winner was Big Bad Biter, and...I don't remember who he beat in the final. I waited too long for a response for the previous post and ended up forgetting the entire final. All I know is that he won. I also remembered at the last moment that there was a fight that broke out between the house robots, specifically Sir Killalot and Cassius Chrome. What happened was that Killalot ended up throwing a competitor into CC's face, starting a brawl, with neither bot gaining any real advantage. With that said, here's something a little more interesting than crushers, or at least I hope so. It's the flipper frenzy! Basically an annihilator-style tournament, numerous flippers will fight in a series of rumbles, with 2 bots getting eliminated each rumble. Those 2 will then have a playoff bout to see who is truly out. It's my little twist off a type of Robot Wars fighting tournament style. I've also decided to separate some flippers due to their unique nature, giving them automatic qualification as a representative of their version of their weapon. These bots include- Aaand now we have our rumble of flippers. Let's check-em out! First up, Maximus: Not related to the SHW from the original Battlebots mind you. No, this bot is less impressive. Biggest flipper in Bot Wars history but he's been plagued with design problems. His current main issue is that he's kinda...fragile. He also got his ass kicked by MANslaughter, broke apart just from being flipped too much. https://i.imgur.com/WABq2PH.jpgNext up, Looong Boi: From the biggest to simply the longest, this flipper is seriously well endowed. He also usually flips bots backwards rather than forwards, so his OOTAbility factor isn't too promising. (Yeah, I just pulled a Johnathan Pearce right there with that OOTAbility factor, deal with it.) https://imgur.com/vFVUu5xhttps://imgur.com/2VreG1pFrom Japan, Fallen Angel: Vicious cutting flipper, almost considered a unique flipper, but not quite there. Although a good piece of plastic, this bot's poor maneuverability can be the death of him. I also forgot to give this bot a description in the Japanese Qualifiers for the world championship. https://i.imgur.com/G2mNGnj.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/wQmKzNp.jpgUp next, Caustic Caution: Or Caustic Caution Reborn. Just gonna call him his original name, from back in the day. This bot has a design flaw in it's flipper that makes it hard to get under other robots, so don't expect much from this one. https://i.imgur.com/DLp3arB.jpgAlso from Japan, Gaspy: #Gaspyforthewin. This adorable little flipper briefly set a new standard for flippers in recent tournaments, but now he's just, well, another flipper. He should be thankful that there's no spinners in this mini-tourney, cause those exposed wheels look preeeetty juice to me. (And with that I get a restraining order filed against me. By a piece of plastic. Go figure.) https://i.imgur.com/tCrwjA8.jpgNext up, Technofreak: You won't see it in the picture, but this bot's knife blade has been removed, so that he's solely just fighting with his flipper, which is arguably his primary weapon. I'm too lazy to take a new picture, because in order to do so, I first have to take the picture on my phone, then send the picture to my dead facebook account, then DOWNLOAD the image onto my computer. Then, get the picture uploaded to imgur, and THEN get the link placed. By the way, here's some pics These don't represent what he looks like for this specific mini-tourney. https://i.imgur.com/wRwmHyY.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/dMqqKgd.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/Lg2EIHo.jpgUp next, Blue Moose: One of the best newcomers this tournament, almost always making it to the finals of whatever heat or mini tourney he's in. Not sure how he'll handle against all the other flippers, but I can see why a lot of people put their faith into this bot's capabilities. https://i.imgur.com/BnZhrX3.jpgFrom South Africa, Shadow: A promising new flipper who's only real weakness is his exposed wheels. He's been mostly over-shadowed by fellow newcomers and previously mentioned Blue Moose. Let's see how he does here. https://i.imgur.com/GIw9pIr.jpgNext up, Futerra 9000: A good all-around competitor. He was also the previous flipper frenzy champion, grasping the win from his rival, Beta Dragonis. Let's see if he can win again, with this new tournament bracket, and new bots. He also has a newfound grudge against Blue Moose, who beat him in the American Championship's Grand Final. https://i.imgur.com/iMAAX7B.jpgFrom the Netherlands, and World Champion, Creamsicle: I'm still amazed this bot beat MANslaughter in the World Championship Finals. I wonder if he can pull off a dumb-luck victory again... https://i.imgur.com/c72ZDNI.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/kOdb4iB.jpgUp next, The Tornado of Terror: Don't ask why this bot wasn't in the world championship. Anyway, this bot has a lot of power behind the weapon that wasn't even intended for her in the first place. Originally she was gonna be a spinner, hence the name. https://imgur.com/HQ4Wq0YNext up, Springer: Last time I saw this bot, it was reduced to a bunch of lego pieces by Nonja. Let's see how the one-and-only spring-powered flipping arm can handle against these "CO2 powered" beasts of flippers. https://i.imgur.com/3L51URv.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/GvH27mf.jpgUp next, from Japan, and our reigning champion, Kill-Bot-Kun This perky little robot doesn't seem like a champion, but, it is. It is THE champion of Bot Wars currently and also Japanese "champion" after the World Championship Japanese Qualifiers. Can it win even MORE? https://i.imgur.com/PG0NYTK.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/uyCaJUZ.jpgNext up, Beta Dragonis: He did make it to the final two in last tournament's Flipper Frenzy. Now that the format's changed, how will he do this time? He's somewhat fragile to spinners, but this is the Flipper Frenzy, so durability isn't really his concern. The flipper is unique in that it can't flip itself over by simply firing, and yet it's fully capable of self-righting. Great engineering, if I don't say so myself. https://i.imgur.com/Lsu3B3n.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/Pr7oJaN.jpgUp next, from Japan, MANslaughter: The manliest bot we have here. Brutal fighter, can break robots just by flipping them to death. Powerful drive, powerful weapon, powerful attitude. His one weakness? He's not the best at getting underneath other bots. https://i.imgur.com/KSIrtes.jpgAnd finally, Shazam: Good drive and power, not the best at getting under robots though, and has an issue with his ground-clearance. Thankfully he can self-right. (Ok, all the robots in this annihilator can self-right.) Still, I don't expect much from this one. https://i.imgur.com/P58AiFx.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/JWcAne7.jpgWho's gonna win? Leave a comment down below!

Hey man, I read your story, and I can sympathize with you easily. I'm glad that you're now at a stable point in your life. I myself am tying to accomplish that. I'm glad to see another old-timer of the forum (who's only a year older than me) come back to the forum.

Well the download will you be your internet speed.
That's the weird part. It ran YouTube just fine, but said it would take over an hour to download DSL. Anyone know if there's any compatability mode issues or whatever that might be going on? Any reason why it plays Stock but not DSL?

pwnator is still active?
Your still active? If so, don't look at my replica of Peerless Zhuge. The red extenders will give you a heart attack. On a more serious note, congrats to doot for pulling off his newfound status as part of the tournament mod. He's basically the next Yug1tom.

Why? Also, I tried to install DSL2.2 and the new computer said it would take over AN HOUR. Then the download crashed. Oh, by the way, I'm using a new computer, and now I'm having this issue. Also, my new computer for RA2 is Windows 10. Not sure if that means anything.

I was thinking of maybe changing up the stats of the motors. Make them more powerful/more capable of moving heavy weapons. I mean, since when to IRL HWs use an E-tek motor for weaponry in RA2? It's usually perm or above. I guess that would also warrant a redo of the wheels grip and stuff.

Always snap dragon if he's involved
Well...he WAS close. He made it to the final 3, but was ganged up on Iron Golem and Rhino. Thus, it was those two who made it to the finals. And the winner was... IRON GOLEM! I know, it's weird, right? You'd think a bot as unimpressive as Iron Golem would lose to a younger, yet far more promising opponent. But, that's not the case. Although Rhino was very resistant to horizontal spinners, he was quite vulnerable to hammers. Iron Golem took advantage of this in the final. He even celebrated by getting into a fight with Mr.Psycho, and surviving, albeit losing an eye...and his shape. Now then, on to the Crusher Crunch-Up Part 2! First up, Skorpinoid: This seasoned veteran may have more promise than initially expected. Fast, maneuverable, can self-right easily, this bot's only real weakness is spinners, and there's none in this heat. His wheels are exposed and may be vulnerable to crushers. https://i.imgur.com/zPL1WPm.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/xDZspPV.jpgNext up, Onyx: Maybe not the best crusher, but definately one of the best grapplers. Also has a low ground clearance which my serve it in this heat of wedged crushers. His wheels however are also exposed. https://i.imgur.com/0y4KLsv.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/EXKU1Ix.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/wCE9o6U.jpgUp next, Big Bad Biter: Can the pioneer of crushers also be the king? Let's find out. He's not the prettiest, but he's agile, quick, and can self-right from any direction. But, once again, the wheels are exposed on this one. https://i.imgur.com/yyw1yYa.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/pKwDM0R.jpgNext up, Steampunk Reject: I used to think this bot was durable. Turns out he's not, at least, not when around fellow crushers. He's actually rather quite vulnerable to them. Especially his side sri-mech arms. His weapon however is quite powerful compared to the other bots. He's got good maneuverability as well. https://i.imgur.com/zM8ZV0Y.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/vmsLL4g.jpgUp next, Son of Doris: The most durable crusher here, as well as the most experienced. He's moderately successful in every heat he partakes in, almost always making it to the final 3 (I think). His crusher however is rather flimsy. More of a grappler really. Also is unique for his tail sri-mech https://i.imgur.com/HIpSpLF.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/43SX25Y.jpgAnd finally, White Privilege: Aside from the name, there's nothing really spectacular about this bot. Wedge breaks, sri-mech works ok, same speed and strength as most of the other bots in this heat. Who's gonna win? Leave some guesses down below!

Alright, here's the results: Crusher Crunch-Up 1: Winner is Vice Grip. He just tore Silver Scarab apart. Tor off his weapon, his decorative top, and his sri-mech. Then he flipped him over. Sit-n-Spin, For The Win: From first to last, it went Yin-Yang, Bigfoot, and Jester. Lift-Off: Dozer showed dominance through the whole thing, even when he got his ass literally handed to him (his rear drive getting torn off)It was between him and Oscar, and Oscar at one point got smashed at a certain angle by Mr.Psycho, breaking his chassis open. Then it got smashed back shut, then it got torn open again, and this time his robot guts came out. It was a really even fight nonetheless, until that KO. And now, on to the Axe Attack! (Which only features one axe-bot. The rest are hammers.) First up, Pumpjack: The hammer can be quite powerful, until it breaks. Until then though, expect nothing but sheer brutality from this bot. https://i.imgur.com/h8bAkQN.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/5ULKaJm.jpgNext up, Hammerhead: This bot has been around for a while, his design is frail but his weapon is fierce. https://imgur.com/16mANY8https://imgur.com/fliBUBiUp next, Iron Golem: Damn, it's been a while since I've played Minecraft. Oh, uh, anyway, this bot ain't too impressive. Vulnerable to spinners, but there aren't any this heat, so he may have a chance. https://i.imgur.com/1IjvxrF.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/uHENYHL.jpgNext up, Turret Syndrome: I REALLY wanted to make a bunch of profane, sudden, offensive tourettes jokes, but I'd rather not get in trouble. Truth is, this bot basically IS a joke. Flimsy weapon, slow moving, and without the hammer, he can't self-right. https://i.imgur.com/3Grj2Vh.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/ZsSpWRk.jpgUp next, Rhino: One of the most durable bots I've ever made. Also has one of the most disappointing weapons ever. You'd think something that big would do damage, but no, it doesn't. It just taps it's opponents. And finally, from China, Snap Dragon: When the weapon doesn't fail, neither does this robot. Also quite durable and experienced. He's also kinda...small. https://i.imgur.com/Wp3uCcI.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/uD91avj.jpgWho do you think is gonna win? Leave a comment down below.

Well... I started up the RA2CF.exe. There I clicked on Team HQ, selected a team and went for an empty slot to go to the botlab. there I drew the basic for for the chassis. after that I adjusted the hight and went to the components tab. I added a bunch, deleted some, rearanged some bits. After I was happy with the look of the bot I went to the paint job tab and exported the skin and template. I opend it up in gimp and resized the .bpm to 512x512 pixels. then I looked at the real robots as a reference and I made the skin for the bot ingame. I fiddled around with it and loaded up the latest skin onto the bot to see if everything sits right. after I was done I made some screenshots, edited them and uploaded them into this showcase.
Well, umm...ok, thanks for sharing. I decided to do just that, minus the skinwork, and got this: PEERLESS ZHUUUGE!(I did the female version because there were only red extenders. This is easily Sage's worst nightmare.) Anyway, this is one of my most sophisticated replicas to date, and my first major foray into extenderbots. It took me 2 hours and 11 minutes to finish this beast. This is THE best Peerless Zhuge replica possible in stock RA2. The proportions are different because even with the modded MaxSphere, I couldn't make it the right height. I also needed room to fit in motors. This didn't seem to effect the final product TOO badly, it's still recognizable.

Snap Dragon will always be my favourite I'll root for it
Unfortunately, he was the second bot to be eliminated. Strangely enough, the major world powers that were represented in this competition were eliminated early. China, America, then Russia. I think that was the order. Aaand our world champion is...CREAMSICLE, from the Netherlands! Yeah, it was a HUGE surprise for me too. Especially because it was against former world champion and Japanese representative MANslaughter. It wouldn't seem to make sense. Manslaughter was faster, had more flipping power, and was overall a more successful robot. Through dumb luck, Creamsicle threw MANslaughter out the arena, thus claiming the title. Now then, on to the next event, possibly the final event: The War of the Weapons! Basically, I have every bot of a certain type of weapon, or range of weapons, fight eachother in qualifiers to see who is the best of their kind. I then take those bot and pit them against eachother to see which bot has the best weapon. Some bots are the only ones of their kind, so they get an automatic pass. The automatic passes are- These bots won't be fighting per se, but, they will be in the War of the Weapons Grand Final. Now then, let's get to the smaller qualifying bouts first. None of these weapon groups can make a full heat, and I'm not combining them. I'll just cluster them all together as separate, mini heats. First, here's the Crusher -Up, part 1: Then we have Lift-Off! And finally, SNS, FTW. Sit-n-spin, for the win! First up, BigFoot: I initially said this bot was sh**, but when he's equipped with that hammer, things get serious. Can he turn his reputation around, and become something greater? https://imgur.com/7rlcIrBNext up, Jester: Don't ask why this wasn't in the World Championship. We didn't see much of this bot before, will anything memorable happen here? https://i.imgur.com/YqUF6bM.jpgAnd finally, Yin-Yang: Another robot with no memorability. Hopefully that changes this time around. https://imgur.com/TDEdeqGSo, who's gonna win the first Cruncher Crunch-up? Who's gonna win the Lift-Off? And finally, who's gonna win the SNSFTW? You know the drill.

Always Blue Moose
Correct! Blue Moose is our American representative! It was a tense match between him and Futerra 9000. At one point Futerra got in a scuffle with the house robots, and went as far as to flip Growler, Cassius Chrome, and even Sir Killalot! Mr.Psycho was too heavy. Anyway, he got sent out of the arena by the vengeful Sir.K, who righted himself. Another notable incident happened with Debranator, who was at one point thrown out of the arena, but then threw herself BACK IN. I forgot which round she lost in though. Now then, on to the grand final, which is ALSO 9 bots! First up, Representing the United States of America, Blue Moose: This bot never seems to dissapoint, making it to the finals of 3 of it's 4 heats. Didn't fare well in the grand final. But how will he do in the world final? Will he even MAKE IT there? He does certainly have a chance, I can tell you that much. https://i.imgur.com/BnZhrX3.jpgRepresenting the Netherlands, Creamsicle: A sturdy, creamy design, if that makes any sense. Not that powerful of a weapon, but it's durability is immense. Not sure how well he matches up against other robots though. https://i.imgur.com/c72ZDNI.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/kOdb4iB.jpgRepresenting the United Arab Emirates, Circuit Chipper: A legendary, deadly design that seems to be back in his element, at least somewhat. How's he gonna handle all these flippers though? Only one way to find out. https://i.imgur.com/qU3jkTC.jpgRepresenting South Africa, Shadow: This bot is the epitome of all dark horses. Powerful, new, and black, this bot is gonna have a major influence on this championship. https://i.imgur.com/GIw9pIr.jpgRepresenting China, Snap Dragon: This tough, Chinese machine has some potential, but that hammer can come off. It can also do damage. https://i.imgur.com/Wp3uCcI.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/uD91avj.jpgRepresenting Germany, Zerschlagen: If you replaced the light grey with white, you'd get the colors of the German Flag! Ain't that a nice little gimmick? Anyway, the bot struggles against flippers and is a massive diameter, thus making it a big target, but when it's up to full speed, it'll swat away any flipper, hammer, or spinner for that matter, and maybe even do some damage. https://i.imgur.com/vSWSg0I.jpgRepresenting Japan, MANslaughter: The meanest flipper in all of Bot Wars. This bot had a brief stumble after a faulty modification last series, but as we've seen this time around, he's back in his element, making it to the semi-finals of the main tournament, and then winning the Japanese Qualifier, which meant beating our new main tourney champion Kill Bot Kun. (When I say last series I mean the tournaments I had prior to me posting ANY of my Bot Wars stuff on GTM since before I posted my house robots.) https://i.imgur.com/KSIrtes.jpgRepresenting Sweden, Junko: Made it to a heat final of the main tourney, losing to MANslaughter, and made it to the Wild Card 2 final, losing to Blue Moose. Can he get revenge on either of them this championship? https://i.imgur.com/ZqPqARZ.jpgAnd finally, Representing Russia, Andre: Once again being the Russian representative here, Andre doesn't have much to offer, other than a lack of severe design flaws, unlike his other fellow Russian competitor Triosk. https://i.imgur.com/ZqPqARZ.jpgWho's gonna be the world champion? LEAVE YOUR GUESSES DOWN BELOW.

USO and SteamPunk Reject are both very nice, hopefully USO can pull a win. I like space themed robots
Well...you were close with one of them. Very close. USO destroyed nearly ALL the competitors at some point in some round, including Steampunk Reject, who wasn't as durable as I had thought. The 5-way melee was amazing, I saw 4 bots try to gang up on USO, and they failed to take him out. They all took damage, one getting completely destroyed and another I think was simply immobilized. It was the heat final between Rhino and USO, and interestingly enough Rhino was destroyed in a previous round by USO. It was the longest any robot had lasted 1on1 with USO that entire heat, but even Rhino's near indestructable design got obliterated in the final minute. However, he lucked out in the rematch in the heat final. All it took was a hit to the wedge and USO flipped itself over onto it's back, and lost. Rhino was technically the winner, but the true champ in my heart was USO. The pride of all the spinners in Bot Wars. Anyway, enough chit-chat, here's our American grand final, in all of it's glory: First up, winner of Heat 1, Blue Moose: I personally consider this bot the new Toro. He made it to the main Heat 1 finals, the Wild Card 2 finals, and the American Heat 1 finals, and won 2 out of 3. It's a tough design but he has been broken before. There's no spinners in this heat though, so he's basically unbreakable. https://i.imgur.com/BnZhrX3.jpgNext up, winner of Heat 2, Futerra 9000: A hardcore flipping design here. Known for his rivalry with one of our best flippers, who isn't in this heat by the way. This may be Futerra's heat, but he has fierce competition ahead. https://i.imgur.com/iMAAX7B.jpgUp next, Winner of Heat 3, Pumpjack: This bot's low ground clearance could give him an advantage. The hammer has a tendency to break though. https://i.imgur.com/h8bAkQN.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/5ULKaJm.jpgNext up, Winner of Heat 4, Onyx: This crusher is more of a grappler, and tends to be underestimated. He's vulnerable to flippers, but he can self-right. He can't get back into the arena after being thrown out though. https://i.imgur.com/0y4KLsv.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/EXKU1Ix.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/wCE9o6U.jpgUp next, Debranator: Imagine if this bot fought USO? Anyway, this is the only launcher in Bot Wars, and boy is she good. A strong symbol if female power in Bot Wars, we may just have a Miss America champion here. https://i.imgur.com/bjW5XFr.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/y3YxLsN.jpgAnd finally, winner of Heat 6, Rhino: This bot eked out a win against a superior machine, but it's not like USO would stand much of a chance against all these flippers. Rhino on the other hand is more maneuverable and agile, and he scores points with that massive weapon. https://i.imgur.com/ZvO6y2f.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/vSxnra7.jpgSo this is the American Championship Final! Next I'll be deciding which bots who failed to make it to the world championship should get a second chance. Anyways, who do you think is gonna win? Leave your guesses down below... ...and uh...real talk. The reason why these haven't been daily is because my depression is acting up again. I've lost motivation to do this thing consistently. It's comments like yours that really keep me going. Also, it takes forever for me to type these things out. That's the main problem.
