This is just the same reason as Click posted this for BBEANS 6, no doubt Clash Cubes will be a high demand tournament, so to get you all ready, since the sign up rules mean only 1 month max open. ENTRIES RECEIVED BEFORE SIGN UPS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. If I get bots before signups officially open, I will just delete them and you'll have to re-send your entry. (hehe copy and pasted from Click) Weight:
Its going to be DSL 2.1 Lightweight, Bots can weigh no more then 249.0kg.
Construction:
Realism Rules
No part can intersect another part that couldn't have a slot cut in it in real life. Example: Spinner blade passing through armor plate or chassis=OK.Spinner blade passing through wheel or battery=Not OK.There is a small margin of tolerance, though. If a spinner blade just nicks a motor or something, that's OK. Basically this rule is just intended to stop burst-enhanced overlapping spinners like you see in stock RA2.
Glitches in the game may be exploited as long as they do not violate the above conditions.
be wary however as you will only get one do over for the whole tournament if YOUR own robot has a havok that effects the outcome for itself, there is also one match do over if YOUR bot causes a havok that effects the OPPONENT bot
no AI parts or Cheatbot 2 only what is found in the bot lab of a "clean" DSL 2.1 copy
And all Robots Chassis must be a cube shape of any size, this means a square base, square top and equal height (so the bigger your base the higher your bot)
I will AI any bots that need it but if you do know how to AI please do, any custom .py files are ok as long as they are sent along with the bindings and only achieve a means of what would be normally possible.
Smartzones may be used including custom ones(so long as you send along the files) however they may only be used for the purposes of AIing no other use will be excepted.
No BFE or AAM everything must be done inside the bot lab with exception to chassis skinning. All Robots Must Show Controlled Movement.
My Skirt hinge collision fix will be utilized in this tournament rendering "Narmour" useless.
Multibot/Clusterbot:
Multibots or Clusterbots are allowed if you wish to make one, the rules are...
Limited to 2 robots only.
both parts must be in the same weight class (including AW and BW)
both parts combined must not exceed 249kg.
the whole robot will be eliminated if 50% of the weight is knocked out. Format:
The arena will be The Clash Cubes IV Arena (which will be shown soon)
The format will be basic this time around, A 64 Robot Double Elimination Bracket.
All matches will be 3 matches at a limit of 2mins each.
All 3 matches will be ran even if a robot wins the first 2
AI
as said before custom .py's are not an issue otherwise please specify what .py you wish me to use if you are not able to AI yourself (if you can please do)
if you do not know the best AI give me a brief description of what you want it to do and I will work out a suitable one for your needs if there is an AI issue you may dispute it if you have some evidence and can explain the issue, in a calm mature manor, in the case its found to have effected the match outcome it will be re-filmed. any disputing on no grounds *cough LRA2 cough* or straight out immature complaining will see you kicked out of Clash Cubes and stripped of all ranking data (KO's, W/L record, etc)

I recall reading somewhere it starts using history to load parts that haven't changed on a website so it only focuses on new stuff..
or something like that ?
I read it when I ran into the problem of looking at a website and not seeing the changes when I was told there was a new home page article... deleted the temp files, cookes, etc then it loaded the new article (it doesnt do this often but it was a small issue I got)

I would wire the flamers to the wheels so they would't run out.
no it will run out... for some reason the glitch of holding down the button doesn't apply to AI.. I usually AI mine to spin so its always firing but it does run out..

1. No Super SnS or SnSnS 3 D:
2. I remember Hell in a box 4... I TOLD YOU ALL I TRIED NOT TO ENTER AN SnS :P
1. D: I must have forgot to put them else where.. there was a Team Somebody, Team Urjak and Team Condor33 (instead of the legends) but I got rid of them... easy fix to just make a new team SnSnS 3, Super SnS and do you want to send SnSnSnSnS 2, 3 and the version of SnSnS 3 without the cheat parts? I cant remember but there was a different version sometime.. if you still have it. to fill up the extra places (or I will just leave them blank) 2. yeah but it was quite bad without its cheaty robot interference weapon :P

there is only 2 places next time and it will pop up as soon as Gazea and Nary hurry up :P random teams could be a turn off.. as could non random... so you could find an even balance... say people make teams of 3 then are randomly paired with another team of 3 and each person is given what robot to build. the "Enforced realistic rules apply" is another turn off... nothing against it but these types of rules always cause low turnouts (IRL didnt even make it to 16 robots) also from my experience with Backlash more people are against restriction on bot types then people for it... restriction on flails however would been fine.. SB had it for Lag reduction and his tourney still got voted in loose the different match types.. it makes it more confusing, just simply pick and choose each robot for each match should be the concept... you could even add in the LW can be picked any time for a bit of strategy (whether they put it in against a HW or predict when the other LW comes out) just my thoughts

Robot Exchange is the easiest way starting out..but it means everyone can see your entry
-----------------------------
build your robot that meets the requirements of the selected tournament (one in the signs ups section with a green logo next to it)
in your game click export in the team section...
in your games folder find the file robot designs...
==== optional =====
go to the Bot Exchange and find the appropriate uploader
upload the robot and tell the host the name of it and the fact its on the robot exchange
====== or =======
put the .bot file into a zip or .rar and use the file uploader on the home page of this site
it will then give you a download link to the file you just uploaded
send that to the host via Personal Message (its a icon below there avatar or a button on there profile page)
--------------------------
Wait for confirmation...

nah.. bindings dont need any tweaking
anything on a line after a # symbol in python is ignored..
so those team names in the bindings and such are just for our own reference the game does nothing with them..
you can put bindings anywhere in the file and if 2 robots are named the same it will use only the first one it encounters in the file, doesnt matter if its under a team heading or not....

though I don't like it you cant blame pit dumping on TaN.. its RW fault for adding a pit button.. should have kept the series 4 system when it opens after a robot is defeated IMO TaN were just exploiting the arena to great success

it would be Monster but you cant bulk buy them in Australia, where as I buy the boxes of Redbull otherwise single purchase can get quite expensive...

geez stop complaining...
you should be happy you got half the entry list size in votes..
everyone hasnt had a lot of awards voters all year..
I got 14 for CC3 out of 40 entrants.. thats less then half...
I will place a vote for Thwartoise for best design but I didnt watch a single video so I cant break the tie on the other one
