My technique for stacking is to use Sage's zooming tech, rotate angles if I get no results, still get no results, and then ragequit and play DSL.

I'm lazy so I'm recycling one of my old bots. This team probably has no synergy but whatever.

DSL TC Showcases / Re: Mad-man 3's DSL showcase« on: September 10, 2015, 04:08:40 PM »I like the idea behind Hubris - have you experimented with other weapons?I haven't yet but I might try a generic Hex - Large beaters - lds teeth setup. As for the juggler that would be a problem if the matches lasted a long time but it has a really huge damage output so it's not normally an issue. 386

Looks like the bot I posted last night but in stock so I see what you mean. Might be advisable to have it wider or to swap around the weapons so that you have irons nearer the side for durability, but I know basically nothing about the stock meta these days so :P

Ah, fair. I just kinda thought of it whilst building Maw; instead on the weapons approaching the wedge from their most obstructive angle, why not have them sloping the other way to scoop them better? Glad to see someone else had the idea. 394

Whammer/inertia flipper
![]() Going to adjust the front wedge beaters to see if I can get it to scoop things more smoothly, since it tends to go a little crazy on inpacts. Will also angle the flipping rack up a little more so it flips better. 395
Challenge Board / Re: THE MIGHTY NaRYaR vs madman3« on: September 09, 2015, 04:56:20 PM »lel even i have beaten naryartournament sets over me - 0looking forward to beating you legit, again. yeh but lots of dumb stuff happens in tournament, idk what bot type you used but my past matchups vs him were Juggler vs Popup (I was Juggler and won) and TRFBD vs HS (he was HS and won). Knowing Naryar he'll probably go for something reasonably cool but not necessarily that good. inb4 nar never sends a botthat would match up with 4 out of the 5 proposed challenges I've had with Naryar (idk if it's actually that many but he's flaked on the majority anyway) 396
DSL TC Showcases / Re: Tibsy's DSL Amalgamation (Showcase)« on: September 09, 2015, 03:02:38 PM »IRL Tournaments are quite illogical and have a really unbalanced meta, so I wouldn't worry about it, if you ever feel like you need to win just build drums. You have a good style of IRL, nice and clean, pretty simple. Great skins too. 397

This might be a tough thing to start out with, but if you're trying to get a good sense for a generic MW popup, check out the Pyscolone Popup Challenge: https://wiki.gametechmods.com/index.php?title=Pyscolone_Popup_Challenge
If you need an example I'm sure someone can find you one, but basically if you want a good starting point, here's VeXeD, which is slightly weight inefficient and has the wrong armor. https://wiki.gametechmods.com/index.php?title=VeXeD 398
DSL TC Showcases / Re: Mad-man 3's DSL showcase« on: September 09, 2015, 02:20:17 PM »do you even need the steel skirt at the back of 3.14 stoner? idk if you need the first disk holding the rest of the setup on there either, depends if you got enough armour or whatever else the weight would go towardsThe disc was basically the only option of the exact right length. As for the steel skirt it was easier to do that since the insides are pretty full up due to the CO2 tank. The weapons on the juggler are spinning inwards but I've got the weapons configured the other way since that way it's a gentler impact with each weapon (does the same damage because lolRA2), so the weapon speed stays similar, the bots get pulled in easier, and there is a greater change of the beaters also hitting slightly against extenders. Really it's an optimization that should have been figured out ages ago but it works and people will probably remember it now. 399
