General Support / Re: How Do I install AI packs« on: November 07, 2018, 01:40:50 AM »I downloaded the pack. What do I do to add them to dsl.You just take the files from the zip or rar into the intended location. If you install AI pack, you have to put it into your AI folder. Be warned however that AI packs tend to overwrite any existing AI on your game, so if you want to keep the old AI, make a copy of the game and then install the new AI pack into the copy to clarify open up the .zip or .rar you downloaded (extract the AI folder) and copy the AI folder into your main RA2 folder. it'll ask you if you want to merge or overwrite, say yes. if it doesn't ask this then you've put it in the wrong place. make completely sure that you've downloaded an AI pack for the correct mod you're using or it'll crash your game. some packs overwrite the old AI, and some just add more, they should say in the description. I would highly recommend making a second copy of ra2 for another AI pack. just duplicate your ra2 folder and call it like "DSL [mod]" or whatever. i have 20 different ra2 versions with different mods and ai packs. don't put everything on one copy, trust me. 384
Tournament Archives / Re: Beginners luck- Discussion« on: November 04, 2018, 07:20:51 PM »wish it wasnt irl so we could use our actual first dsl botsI have to agree with Reier here. I remember that when building my first DSL HW bot before I joined GTM, the building practices of the bot wouldn't of been acceptable by today's IRL meta standards. In truth, some users at the time of making their first DSL IRL bots, probably wouldn't of known about IRL building rules or at the time seeing DSL 2.1 IRL building rules, which would be unacceptable by today's standards such as using skirt hinges for flipping arms etc. So if you want this tournament idea to work, at least make it an unrealistic or standard tournament, due to what has been previous mentioned in the post. also irl fad is super new and most people on the forum joined before it took off 385

color scheme on the arm is pretty unfocused. feel like the whole thing needs some trim or something to be less plain. but thanks for no cringy quote this time ashen is pretty cool though. 391

on the gutripper MW with the tribars you definitely have the weight to upgrade the drive (which you should) if you drop the 2 razors in the middle that dont do much and use blue snappers instead of snapper2s for the wedges
geice is right about the pole spikes. 394

pretty tight. I personally would recommend stronger drive by downgrading the weapon motors, you can get away with rad weapons easily on this imo. irons instead of razors would be pretty nice too since you're already low on weapons.
