NC should win anyway, but rules are rules; if it gets out of hand I'll hand this to NC anyway.

Why ? You haven't clashed with his bot face to face, as a fair wedge contest should be. Maybe yours are better but NC just half-flanked you cause of the hazards.
I dunno, I guess you may be right, but the wedges on my bot are inconsistent; despite being great against Seism and R4, they sucked against Hunter Killer Tank for some reason.

Maybe it's just Inf and his minions's bots :P

I've always been rubbish, doesnt feel so bad anymore.
I have caught a wild Stagfish.

I'd agree with SD on the bot, though.

LOL THE HAZARDS WERE QUITE CLEARLY ON WHEN THE CHALLENGE SAYS HAZARDS OFF

First match, WHY does Madman's bot DOES NOT rush toward the opponent as it should do in a hazardless arena ? Cause they were on.

And then after, you quite clearly see a triple spike trap that is outside of it's socket.
Yup, he said it, at 0:07 the spikes shoot up. So it goes against the rules set.

NC should win anyway, but rules are rules; if it gets out of hand I'll hand this to NC anyway.

Behemoth
Dethklok
Deicide
Neat.
sooo.......BOT?
K
Couple of new ones:
Rage
A very small amount of Cannibal Corpse
Lazarus A.D.
Cynic
Most of their songs seem to be about shredded wheat. Mortician - Rabid is pretty good though (thanks to the very small vocal parts)
That's why you ignore the lyrics, the only songs I really like are Hammer Smashed Face and The Wretched Spawn because the lyrics are relatively un-disgusting.

He's talking about the black and red extenders which can be mounted to the base.

Ok, thanks
Sorry if I wasn't clear.

I don't plan on buying another amp, or at this stage any pedals
Welcome to the land of Derp tone, then.
Although I'd recommend replacing your amp as soon as you get an opportunity.

You don't need the vertical extender to be that long, I'd recommend an 80 cm Polycarbonate skirt instead, as it's more durable and weighs about the same.
Mount the plough on the side of a extra-small multi extender (which you has no chassis collision mesh and as a result you can mount it so a bit of the extender is poking outside the chassis), saving weight.

It's not that bad for ones first DSL bot, but ideally you should cut down to about 5 ant batteries (just so it lasts long enough) and use NPC Fasts (use the left and right versions) with Hypno wheels. You probably want a different chassis shape too since Circular chassis aren't very efficient and hard to use.

Not too bad for a first DSL bot.

However:
Those wheels don't have great grip, try using wheels like vlads, technos or hypnos. Just hypnos, the other two aren't great for this design
For heavyweights we usually use 2wd npc normal/fast with technos. Ignore this since it will either give you a colossal ground clearence or make your chassis too tall.
Use 3 ants instead of all those battlepacks. Your battery will run out fast if you do this, you want a few more
Might want a stabilizer on top and perhaps a few more weapons. This is fine
Try to shrink the chassis as circular ones waste a bit of weight, you can even mount the perm externally and have bottom armour (half sheets have a middle ap which attaches to the bottom) If you feel up to it try this.

Discussion / Re: Your tactic to stacking two blacks?
« on: August 07, 2011, 05:18:24 AM »
I can stack nearly everything apart from Snapper II's and Blacks.

No offense, but I don't really care, and it's completely offtopic.

What was the need for that? It's not off topic if we are talking about stacking. I just said what I can't stack. No need to get aggressive.
No need to take offense at his post, just ignore it.

Anyway, you're better off asking someone like Inf, Scrap or Sage directly by PM or something.

Persist for ages with a fair amount of zoom.

Take about half an hour with that method :laughing. Stacking gets seriously tedious with blacks and air tanks, but I have an easier time with the latter.

You usually need wedges of a sort on this type of FS, as it isn't wide enough nor heavily armed enough to be a HS killer. Get the chassis so you can get at least Snapper IIs in, although that may be difficult with the weight available, so I'd remove the plough (as Nary said), make the weapons razors and you should then have just about enough weight.

« on: August 07, 2011, 03:35:22 AM »
My Stratocaster is in Drop A with its bottom string, while my top string is tuned to like Eb and two strings below both tuned exactly the same, creating this funky Middle Eastern Sound; sounds really full too, due to the bottom string being so low.

I keep my Ibanez RG320PG in Standard though, because I play mostly thrash and it means I don't have to play around with the bridge all the time.

Epic bot, Sonny.

Anyway, I mixed up the act opening for Iron Maiden; apparently Dragonforce was doing the Friday show, and we got a band even worse yesterday opening...

...Trivium.
I actually agree with Herman Li about them; "bunch of teenagers trying to make metal music but failing".
