Is anyone of you guys going to Cardiff on next weekend?
No, it's quite far out from anywhere except near it lol, I mean if you're in Bristol, why would you go to Cardiff, you have everything Cardiff has in Bristol...

Chef Excellence <3
Anyway I do the best uni-student fake-stir-fry ever.
1) defrost chicken in microwave 2) boil kettle 3) cut chicken up in frying pan and fry 4) boil noodles in saucepan for 4 mins 5) put some veggies in microwave for half allotted time. 6) drain noodles 7) chuck half-cooked veggies into chicken pan and fry for a minute or 2 8) open packet of stir fry sauce, pour half into noodles and half into chicken/veggies 9) stir em up 10) put them in a bowl 11) stir em up 12) put it on a plate 13) cover with soy sauce and get sweet chilli dip. Yum!
And yeah this is because my frying pan is too small :<

Lol oh dear, why the influx of these types of sites again? They've happened so many times, and with the lack of demand even for just robotic forums...

O.O oh hey man, it's been a while indeed. Good to hear you're doing well. I remember making the coming-out-of-black-tight-clothing change a few years back. Wasn't easy. :P

Not sure I agree with mounting a burst motor outside of the chassis regardless of protection seem as though they don't exist in real life, but looks cool otherwise.

I agree with Nary - it might be passable without that poly wedge, but that coupled with the lack of slots for those discs and motor vulnerability...

I think the general consensus is FS kinda suck - one thing to consider also, is that FS don't really push the opponent away as a HS or VS does, and you have some very vulnerable poly skirts there, so in attacking you could end up worse off.

tl;dr people need to enter things rather than just say they will and do nothing about it.
Very much this. And on that note, we are now almost dry on the tournaments currently being run thing - wouldn't it be awesome if we could power through some rulemaking and get some new tournaments running?! :D

It'd be cool if the bot was the main focus rather than some big text, I had to look pretty hard to make it all out.

Hey there. Here's a quick guide to entering: 1) Export your entry from RA2 (In Team HQ you can choose 'Export bot') 2) Go to the Robot Designs folder in your RA2 directory - your exported bot will be there. From here you have 2 options. Method 1) Put your .bot file into a .Zip or .Rar, upload it to the GTM File Host on the front page, and then send the link given to you to the tournament host via Personal Message. Method 2) Go to the GTM 'Bot Exchange' and upload your entry to the relevant section. You can then send a message to the host telling them where your entry is and what it's called, or better still send them a link to it.

That VS is a massive improvement. Looks awesome. Reminds me how good the DSL3 saws look.

I guess he tried moving on with it with what he had before the deadline passed, but just gave up. Also Maz I appreciate the sentiment but Nar's right, he is technically also a moderator of this section. But yeah, to be honest, I hadn't paid enough attention to this to even realize it only had 4 competitors - there's no approval system when posting to SBV.

This topic has now been moved to Completed on the basis that the deadline for completion has passed. Continue with videos if you wish but you will not gain credit or undo the 3 month ban on starting a new tournament.

This looks awesome :) You may wish to write a slightly more normal-looking set of text rules though to go along with what you have - my tired sleep head took about 3 readthroughs to understand :P
