Right, looks like I'm in. Second entry's not as good as my first IMHO, but let's see how they do- could be catastrophic failures, could be my first major league championship, could go either way, really.

(In the process of downloading Starcore and DSL for my LT ATM)
One of my entries is cannon fodder, so if you get that you'll do pretty well.

They're all guitar themed, which is cool.

I'm not mad. I'm just sayin'

I'm not mad, I just can't ever stop bitching and ranting about other people who have different opinions. I just can't shut up for five minutes and follow the forum rules and stop posting ponies everywhere. I'm not mad, I'm just an attention whore who feeds off of the negativity because no one likes me in real life, let alone the internet. I'm not mad, I'm just sayin'
Sparkey, I do have a life and friends in Real Life. Though probably you dont. You just cant stop being so annoying and let people have fun. I'm here to share my Robots & Host tournaments. What about you? Why are you here

And ps. When did I last post ponies?
troll'd HARD
Yup.

BTW Sparkles, you have no right to judge. He at least contributes; pretending you're Sys32 isn't going to change that.

Seems like you're referring to yourself. You need to add the bratty attitude and sense of self-superiority and then you'll have it perfectly accurate.

DP. Done. Switched the 3 ant to a battlepack to save weight.

(Image removed from quote.)
You'll need 3 ants actually. A battlepack is the equivalent of 2.5 ants, so it's underpowered.

I will enter...but I will probably be slow to get my bot in. I need a DSL tutor...
If I didn't know that the automatic answer would be no then I would volunteer.

Bot is in the attachment. It is a Robot Arena 2 DSL 2.1 themed bot.
You kidding me?
That one deserves a DQ.
Learn to take a joke.

This is one herp'a derpin' thread.

List updated again, though I don't like Madman's bot...
Hah, the caster armour, right? I'll remove it if you want, although I did my best to keep it to a minimum.

And I guess it's because I've become like Nary with IRL ever since BB2.
It's the Caster Armour AND the Wedges... =/
Ur nawt taking mah wedges.

It still gets taken out by underweaponed pokers and substandard rammers, which are the bots VS are normally good against, so they don't really provide an advantage against anything other than other wedges (I'll brag at this point and say that it can outwedge R4 and Seism 13, despite its lower weight category).
But I have a bot without the caster armour if you REALLY want.

It's very nice.

Very, very nice.

I can't recommend owte because telling me to give out stock advice is like asking a mentally retarded guy to contradict Newton.
Contradict newton.

 :trollface
Anyway, nice bot NFX. But it's been done before, so it's not hugely inspiring.

Halved the number of razors, and removed the iron protecting the weapon motor.

Now it can't even beat Acrid  :laughing

My rammer should hopefully stand up to that.

pics or it won't happen
Note "hopefully".
Mine's got a metal hinge wedge anyway, and is faster  :p
Plus mine's more of a wammer.

If you put it up for download, I'll test.

I saw what you mean, and therefore fixed the bot.

(Image removed from quote.)

5mm Steel, NPC fasts.

For me this is realistic. Just a hole to be cut in the middle of the chassis, since the flamethrower's real exhaust is at the top of physical exhaust.
My rammer should hopefully stand up to that.

My spinners? No. Because it's a trapper :P

Hey Guys.

Sage couldn't track because he busted his recording equipment, so I super quickly got a drum machine and experimented. I've managed to get a 3 minute thing done. It's quite a bit of double bass, and the "chorus" has a tricky little time signature. Feel free to add tremolo picking in these faster sections. Got some blastbeats too, so go full speed ahead in those sections.

Anyway, the slower bits are ideal for a thrash riff (try Exodus or Kreator) and the fast double bass blocks are good for brief technical picking.
Experiment with the track and as soon as you think you've got a decent track, post it in a Rar in this thread. Ideally, I want NFX to track first here.

Track download here. The hi-hats are rather high in the mix, but I can't seem to edit them down. Anyway, here's the track.

NOTE:
For those guitar tracking, I can acquire some decent recording equipment and do the parts myself if I REALLY have to, but that would spoil the fun of this project.
