Dark-AI: Thanks for welcoming me to the GametechMods community
I was not exactly talking about how to do it in the extras column, but thank you, Some very useful information here.
Thanks Guys for the Help Means an awful lot.
Sorry about that. What I meant to say was that, when you open the Bot lab when building a robot in the construction tab. There is a small tab located to the far right on the parts tab with the Behemoth scoop saying extras. Click on the tab and them scroll through a little bit, and you'll see a component tab in the form of a long, thin rectangle shape in any form of armour (polycarbonate, steel etc.) called "Wedge edges", select the part, plus the length of how long you want the wedge edge and now you can insert it onto your bot. Useful when you have Armour plate lower to the ground, but for extenders I often use chisels that can be found under the beater component tab in the weapons tab. But do feel free to ask if you have further problems, in the technical support sections of the fourms.

Hi ReeceIW and welcome to GametechMods! First of all for skinning componments, you can check out the tutorial section for all sorts of tips including on componment skinning in the main game. But like you, I asked this question on component skinning in DSL and I received a little tutorial that I used, can be found here which is better to what Shield posted : https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=19913.msg724963#msg724963. For this tutorial, make sure you have Notepad++ or a similar editor due to the requirement of getting pass the complifed text, to edit the bmp file. As for making the perfect wedge, you don't need to have just a bracket [Default] wedge for a good wedge design. When making a good flipper or a wedge in DSL, it might be a good idea to look in the wedge extras or the chisels that you can add onto a bot like in the example below, using the chisels. Using the wedge extras or the chisels will allow your bot to get underneath most bots with low clearances and use the weapon under them. You may also use the wedge extras in the extra's tab, but Chisels are good if you're not making replicas which you should use the wedge extras.

Who didn't vote for number five? animals...
I was one of them. But between 1 and 2. I had to go for 1 for not only being the only Ironforge bot out of the bunch, but also being very combat effective to the purpose of this month's BOTM. So anyway, Congratulations Redace on winning this month's BOTM.

Can anyone enter BOTM?
Just what MNB said. But you'll need to wait for the next non-voting BOTM thread to open before you can build and make a splash for BOTM.

Well, congratulations Kurt for winning your own tournament! I would say, it's been great fun seeing all the fight and hopefully not a little too tired after listing to the remix of the Super Mario World: Castle theme too many times. Also, well done to Jamie for making it to the final.

I have one request for a grudge match: Entropy 2.2 vs Counter productive. Only the purest curiosity to see which bot is the better juggler out of the two bots.

Sounds like fun.I may make an entry when I have the time to build a good bot, that properly works before I get lamb-blasted with how I cannot work with wheels and such.

The wheels are added, and the horns are adjusted! Although I have no build plans... it requires a LOT of guesswork... the thing she's standing on is a pallet, with real scale. (Image removed from quote.) (Image removed from quote.) (Image removed from quote.)
Now that is looking real nice! There's still a long way to go with the Matilda model, but do keep up the good work.

Well, that my run over. Still at the end of the day, I'm impressed that Copy-Cat 3 manged to make it to the round of 16 before being pummeled OTTA constantly by TGM's Flipper. Still Congratulation TGM on your win!

My Verdicts and possible guesses: 1. With good wedge skirts combine with a high gut-ripping weapon, could make this a real Ironforge contender in a tournament. 2. Now that's how you build a proper MW Poker from a old, below-average build! Though there may be a Supervolt somewhere in the bot, the pink battery isn't enough to power Two Z-Teks alone. 3. Look TGM or Wheelchairwaifu, I know you may of wanted to be a little creative in this month's BOTM, but this BOTM is for your competitive Stock and Ironforge Bots, not for artbots, that was around May 2017's BOTM! But then again if Thrackzod was back, he would of entered the artbot Mr Bones, that happens on most BOTMs when the rules state about Competitive Bots. 4. Yes, I can tell that Apanx made this one. Minus the fact that this is a good Stock Stilt Bot, there are ponies skinned all over the bot and repeated what he did for June 2017's BOTM. 5. Despite the good weapons, there are two un-ignoreable flaws: Underweight by 11.4 kg and the low battery life. But still, good theme behind the splash. 6. Pretty descent for a beginners Pop-up. But nothing really special.
Well overall, some of these entries are pretty descent despite the old one or two bots, though I can defiantly say that most of the bots this month have much better splashes than the bots the last BOTM. But either #1 or #2 will get defiantly get my vote for the fact for being well built, having better combat effectiveness and having more of a unique flavor to them, despite other bots showing of their uniqueness.

Well, that's something. Coming 2nd in the Heat with much tougher competition. But, my Bot made it through in the end.

(Image removed from quote.) sorry for the double posting but heres an irl drum hw
Looks decent for a first timer. But you say that this bot is a heavy-weight, but you haven't given the exact weight of the bot for us to say if the bot needs to use any remaining weight efficiently, or you built the bot close to the weight limit. I know that you're using NPCs for drive which is good enough for a HW, but I don't know about what else you have put in this bot like Batteries, Weapon power or possibly how much room you have left in your chassis. So I'll ask you this: Can you tell me how much this bot weighs, what's your bot's insides and what armor are you using? DSA as in the armour gliche? but thanks man
Yeah you're aware of the glitch when you don't select the armor tab when building a bot to get the strongest, hidden armor in Stock. However, using DSA in DSL compared to using DSA in Stock, should be avoided at all costs. In DSL, most armor types that were considered weak in Stock like Plastic and Titanium, are alot stronger than they are in Stock and are much stronger and tougher than the hidden DSA armor. Combined with the fact that most weapons in DSL do more damage that Stock parts like typhoon teeth or the Mechavore disc, DSA won't even last a few blows against weapons like Mechavore discs. So in my opinion, try using armors like Plastic 5 or higher or Titanium 5 armor for good protection, over DSA. Armor does take weight up, but having armor in DSL ensures better protection for your bot over DSA, and use up some of that leftover weight you have.

RIP Flashing Frog, may you rest in pieces after being trashed like the non-serious entry like you are. Still congratulations to both enigma and Jamie for their wins.

Seeing my bots: Well, I'm not really going to win this, especially with Flashing Frog . But at least some tips can be picked up from these early builds. Before everyone starts to trash-talking about how my bots won't move, I've tested the bots and they can move like any other bot would, but one will suffer the issues of gyro-scopic movement when turning sharply. Regardless, good luck to everyone. Edit: One last thing: It's about time to!

why are you driving unreal cerberus yourself
It does not have wheels the touch the ground, and I had a problem with his blades spinning, any how there was no point it not, it's just the saw spinning the whole time, By the way, how much did you watch?
The Wheels do touch the ground, but however I expected either one of these problems occur: 1. The Bot was mainly built in pure DSL 2.2, so it could of been likely that the Bot file corrupted when you transferred it to your "hacked" DSL (I need to ask what version your DSL "hack" is at. DSL 2.1 or DSL 2.2), due to me possibly using stuff like the IRL packs or comportment freedom. Or for an unlikely reason 2. You modified the bot yourself for an unknown reason and motive, which I have to remind you that this is against the site's tournament host rules to modify a bot heavily like changing the design or weapon without permission. But at the end of the day, you can do what you want for your tournament as long as it in the rules.
this is your third bot already do you still not understand how wheels work
Pretty sure this is on asbestos, Dark-AI saying"the wheels touch the ground" is evidence to suggest asbestos just incompetent.
Dark Al does have a history of making bots with wheels that don't touch the ground properly. The same thing happened in Shield's tourney
im more inclined to believe its dark al whos incompetent tbh

do you honestly think asbestosstar has the cunning or ability to remove your bots drive, raise it up a click or two (or at the very least make it undriveable) and not make it look glaringly obvious
EDIT: (Image removed from quote.)
i lol
Well now you all know that it wasn't me that messed up, but it was the "hack" having problems with skirt hinges this time. Before desending to a flame war. Edit: I would like to add to this post that when Asbesto told me about the wheels hanging off the ground due to the skirt, I was unaware of what he meant mainly because what was going through my head at the time was that his hack was just the same as DSL, except with the few parts. So when I sent the bot for the first time, Asbesto only vaguely told me about the wheels not touching the ground, without explaining why this was the case with the skirt hinges,. But, you're right with me building the bot in his mod and I should of done, before my thoughts. But next time, I'll have a bot like that work properly with no jokes.

what's wrong with his opinion on grammarly? it does kinda suck tbh
Well, I'm don't mind his opinion on how he hate the Grammarly Software and he built a bot deliberately to show how much he hates the software. But if he hated so much, why didn't he just build something that doesn't relate to something he hates?

Oh, and Grammerly is just plain terrible. Like, we're talking "page 1 of avalanche's dsl showcase" bad. Such a stupid ****ing mistake. I'm pissed both at myself and Demon.
Have to agree with you for once. Before Demon uploaded the video, I decided to download the bot to see how bad it really was, and I was painfully right. Not only did I noticed all the flaws that you clearly saw: Overly large chassis, no weapons, weak, unaligned drive. But Asbesto committed the biggest sin of all N00B bots, not only he tried to pass it down as minor Flame Bait against the Grammarly software, the Chassis was loaded full of all sorts of batteries including far too many PC625s. Yes, I little pissed to of how Demon automatically accepted Grammerly as it was, and how I had to make multiple changes to the Drum of War due to Demon noticing a few problems with the bot, but I never complained. But knowing Asbesto, he's not the best person of accepting Criticism and we all know what happens when Asbesto doesn't see his entry in a tournament.
Too long. Didn't bother reading. Also nice tangent Darkie. also do you even realize asbestos is just entering the bot as a jojoke?
Read the bot's download description first Fighty, before assuming that it's a joke entry: This bot is designed to fail, grammerley the software sucks, so i want to show how bad it sucks with this bot.

Despite being a well written, planned story from the lead story writer. It's still a shame that Valve still never said anything about Half Life 2 episode 3, even when it's been over 10 years since the game descended into Vaporware. A real shame.
